We’ve worked on the rear suspension, so now we’re turning our attention to the fork. In this video, we’re going to replace the fork seals on our CRF450 along with a bunch of other parts. John will start with the fork already removed from the motorcycle, and we’ll get right into disassembling the fork. The key here-- particularly once you start reassembling-- is CLEANLINESS. All along the way in this process, we’ll be cleaning the small parts to make sure we don’t get any debris into the fork.
With the fork disassembled, we’ll tackle the fork tube seals and bushings. Again, we want to make sure everything is clean because we don’t want anything to score the tube. We’ll use some electrical tape and a little fork oil to further protect the tube as we slide everything into place. Then, we’ll work on getting O-rings placed on the damper assembly.
With everything in place, we’ll work on assembling the fork and refilling it. Then we’ll get it closed back up.

Hey John, I'm doing a fork seal replacement on a set of 04 Twin Chambers on a CRF250X, got the first one done without too much trouble, But CANNOT get the inner cartridge to Bleed Correctly on the 2nd one. I've taken it apart 3 times & it still Won't extend the dampening rod on it's own pressure. What am I doing WRONG ???
como puedo escuchar los videos en español
I've been looking everywhere for info on the fork caps (ics) and nobody rebuilding forks say anything about it? why is that? when I close my cardridges all the oil dissapear when I compress it out of the bleeding holes.
Great in depth detail.
I want to know like how can we know which model forks are installed as i bought the bike from someone, and that person had installed these honda crf forks aftermarket. I am not able to ascertain the model year, and because of that i have not been able to order part for these forks
do they have a part number stamped somehwere?
