How can you ensure they don’t touch the grass for one frame??? Ik taiga has fell victim to it but damn
There's this thing called Prolonged Rocket Boost, or PRB for short. After going off a zipper or a rocket start, by constantly snaking, you can keep that rocket boost needed to retain max speed even off road.
@@nathangitz2674this is the non prb category, he’s asking how do they check if he clipped the grass which would cause it to he a prb run.

I wonder if even sub 1'13 could be possible. 2nd turn is not driven completely tight, but that would be definitely the limit, just if even doable.
And of course, superb run by Taiga as usual. He delivers!
F8c is the only track i grind, yet my time is like 9 seconds worse than this. Its incredible how well this is done

im new to mario kart ds so sorry for my lack of knowledge but why is it non-prb but he goes into the grass and hes not slowed down (like a prb run) at the beginning ( 0:06 ) ?
@@victorsimon5749 Non-PRB is based off the ruling on the Players' Page, which is track specific. In the case of Figure-8 Circuit, you are allowed to perform one PRB MT in the grass before pulling away. See the full rules here (at the bottom): mariokart64.com/mkds/join.php

Yeah this is literally the exception on this one category, on lap 1, you can take that grass path. I don't really play mkds, just follow it, so anybody's welcome to correct me
Each track where PRB is possible has its own rules on the extent PRB can be used in the non-PRB category. If you visit the MKDS Players' Page, there's a link to the set of rules on the FAQ page.
