@@CarrieTooTired Personally I give it a pass on being cartoon logic/rule of funny. I feel like past Toy Story movies have had similar stuff happen that should've broken or torn the toys at least a few times.
The concept art with Andy and his toys watching Lightyear in theaters is messing with my brain. First of all, wouldn’t Woody, Rex, and Hamm have recognized Toy Buzz from his movie counterpart and used it to roast Toy Buzz? Second, I thought Andy didn’t have any Little Green Men until after he got Buzz and went to Pizza Planet. Anyway, I would choose the Buzz Lightyear of Star Command cartoon over Lightyear any day. It would make more sense for a 6-9 year old boy to want a toy based on a cheesy, pastiche Saturday Morning cartoon with funny archetype characters and zany plots over a generic sci-fi space film with bland human side characters.
i’d say my one gripe with lightyear is it looks too new for it to be the movie andy watched in 1998 or whatever (and i love zurg’s design but it doesn’t look like the toy), but a fun headcanon i saw that makes it make sense is that it’s a remake of the movie andy saw that he could now see with his own kids
yeah the fact that the movie heavily played w/ concepts from Interstellar (2014) should've been a dead giveaway to the crew that this wasn't a 90s movie... I'd totally buy it as a remake tho cus the star command show felt like a saturday morning cartoon spin-off of the og movie

I'd switch Lightyear and Star command's places but overall, yeah strong list! 1 and 3 are constantly fighting in my mind for the first place and which one lands on it heavily depends on how i feel in that moment, it's weird. Definitely going to watch Toy Story Treats, super missed those one.

I actually don't mind Toy Story 4. It definitely has issues, but I think it's perfectly okay for Woody to miss the days with Andy even after he initially made peace (letting go is not a straight road), especially when his new child doesn't care that much about him, and that motivating him to find a new purpose as his *own* person rather than living for someone else that doesn't appreciate him is a good direction to take a sequel and just a good lesson. However, the *other* moral of the movie coming across as "just fix your disability and you'll find love :]" irritates me in hindsight and could've been avoided so easily.

When I listened to the Monsters inc theme on those Forky shorts felt so so *insulting* . They literally pasted a very emotional soundtrack from an unforgettable movie to that series for *jokes* Also, the title design was so flat and very unappealing to see it was very annoying, like I'm studying design and they didn't even bother on making the title a bit well crafted and symbolic?? it's disney we're talking about but then again...they don't care about art anymore. Also, thank you for saying TS4 is bad and how you noticed how the charm from Woody in the last movies was literally gone over Bo. I see people defending over it for some reason, Bo treated Woody badly and somehow in the end they ended up together because the script made them want to. 3:48 EXACTLY! and the movie said its been 3 days since hes been on the closet? this is where things started to lose sense. I appreciate you ranking the third installment as the first, this is something every audience should watch and it's just cinema. That's a sequel done right. The time forgot short was amazing too! it never stopped me from being bored. 11:45 Plus, I kind of saw their dynamic a bit similar to Woody and Buzz from the first 👀it was from then that I realized if some of the characters were in the opposite gender, then they would have been a couple too, sad we can't have that. omg when I first heard Boo's theme in those forkface shorts I was so ✨ *a n g r y* ✨ the joke isn't even funny, it's just "haha stupid spork talks like a scholar for 10 seconds" 🙄 also I agree, the intro to the shorts are so bad/ nauseating... just put a title card at that point! TS4 said "3 days of not being played by Bonnie is even worse than years in Andy's toybox" ig the moment Woody took back his "that's awful" comment from Bo being a lost toy in TS4 I knew Pixar butchered him 🙃 LET 👏 HIM 👏 BE 👏 PETTY👏 Bo calling Woody an accessory was... *a choice* 🤷♀️ it's just another "gaslight gatekeep girlboss" moment Disney thinks we need 🙈 but look at all the pretty shots we gave to the Bo x Woody moments! don't you just want to ship them so badly??? I’m may be just kinda bad at critiquing the media I consume (I usually like whatever I watch), but I liked Toy Story 4 quite a bit. I like them all tho. Tho the only personality thing I dislike is Buzz being dumb. He was just dumb in this movie. Woody and Jessie relapsing, Woody missing Andy when Bonnie stopped playing with him for a while and Jessie fearing enclosed spaces again isn’t necessarily unrealistic. Sometimes you just miss someone who was so important in your life, even if you know it’s over. And just bc you, say, are an adult and aren’t as scared of the dark anymore doesn’t mean you won’t sometimes feel an ominous dread in the middle of the night, not wanting to open your eyes, or when you have to venture into a dark room at work.

Yes, I watched Star Command on VHS as a kid. Would love to on D+.. but.. it doesn't exist to them. Funny (but not funny haha) how that movie and show is treated the same as the Song of the South by Disney.
Weirdly enough, I have the trilogy backwards to you. I think 2 is the best, 1 in the middle and 3 last. 4 is really manipulative, but 3 has its moments of manipulation too. All three are great movies though!
3 was definitely yanking your heartstrings by the last 5 minutes, but I think that the movie went to a dark enough place that the overly sweet ending was earned 🤧 I can definitely see any of the 3 being someone's top tho, they're all really good

I'm not interested in seeing Forky or Popcorn and sadly I can't find Star Command anywhere :( so I can't really rank these 5 10. Toy Story 4 Look how they massacred my toy... 9. Lamp Life Meh. I guess it's better than Toy Story 4? 8. Toy Story Tots I don't know why but I don't really remember liking this one. I thought Lil Buzz was kind of annoying. 7. Lightyear It's sorta OK until it gets to Zurg at which point it plummets down to just barely watchable territory 6. Partysaurus Rex I've always had a soft spot for this one, I dunno why. Maybe it's cause Rex was always one of my favorite characters. 5. Toy Story of Terror Pretty nice, but I kinda lose interest after the monster's revealed. I'm scared for Toy story 5. TS 4 was ok but we DON'T need more. I would rather saw Elio, a new and original movie than another sequel. I'm sure this film will be like Luca; not amazing but not boring either. A fun adventure in space that i will probably rewatch 2-3 times 🙂

Shrek 4 brought the franchise back to its roots in my opinion, and finished Shrek's arc in a refreshing way. Plus RS is such a fun villain.
