Thought this was a great movie, though I do think that the ROTTMNT had the best movie in the TMNT universe, I still had a lot of fun watching this one with my family!
I’m so thankful this came out when it did, idk if I could handle hearing the Turtles say “Shredder is so skibidi Ohio, bro is not the rizzler.” Mikey would definitely spew the most brain rot tho. Bc he’s silly with it. Mikey is my guy, tho I mostly know his 2012 and Rise personalities, which are silly goobers who are dumb and silly. Also nunchucks are cool. Not when I’m wielding them, only when someone skilled uses them. Like Mikey.
so uh funny story. when I was 5, I really liked TMNT, mostly because of old DVDs of the 80s cartoon as well as the 2012 series. My favorite turtle was Ralph for one reason and one reason alone. I really liked his sai swords.
I was waiting for this review to come out. The TMNT movie was a bunch of fun, had a compelling plot, awesome visuals, very funny, and has a banger of a soundtrack. Highly recommend 9/10
I just watched this movie because of your review and dang i cried! I guess stories about weirdos getting to be happy will always get me. It definitely was a little on the ugly side and a lot on the disgusting side, but that was obviously intended and added to the vibe and themes of the movie. But the turtles were so cute, i love them! Teenagers can be nice, dorky and adorable, who knew?! Im not a critic but the quality of the animation, voice acting, music and overall flow of the history all impressed me. The plot is not groundbraking, neither brings up anything new, but the delivery hit all the right spots. Wish there was less puke and rat on cockroach action tho. Thanks for this rec!
ahh that’s cool to hear 💕 glad you enjoyed the movie!! the found family trope gets me every time like- I love these turtles sm, whoever wrote them needs to get a raise bc they’re so likable I do agree on the gross-out humor, but thankfully the art style is out there enough to buffer the grossness, at least for me haha
@CarrieTooTired they really are extremely likable! If i had watched more of them while i was a kid they would definitely had left a big impression. This reminded me there is tons of cartoons and animated movies that i am not familiar with, that are very good! I'll continue following you to see what else is out there for me 💞
i watched this in theaters (i was dragged there) and loved it? the art style is amazing, i love the animation, and the voice acting was good! i know NOTHING about tmnt, so the cliffhanger had me confused until one of the people i was with explained it. my favorite was Donnie because i love purple and hes cool. wait why did i write this
I'd rate the four turtles 10/10 in every aspect. And April and Splinter 8/10. But everything else 4/10, which drags the movie as a whole down to 6/10. Mainly I hate that 99% of the humans look like claymation figures that were left in a hot car, and that all the iconic mutant villains are good guys by the end of the first movie. Also, the kaijuu was both too over the top and utterly underwhelming.
I hated it the first time I watched it cause I was mostly upset because ROTTMNT didn't get more seasons, but when I rewarched it when I was feeling less salty I enjoyed it a lot
Is it weird i dont have a favorite. I like raph in the og love action movies best. Leo in the tmnt, the witty charm and sardonic remarks of both mikey and don from the Michael bay ones. I enjoyed each one equally, but i really liked april and overall all the wierd people. Beauty comes from inperfection
I haven't watched the movie, but I heard it is so good and imma watch it when it gets on Digital and remember watching the 2007 movie when I was younger
I thought TMNT mutant mayhem was
a absolute masterpiece each and every character made you feel a type of way
I really enjoyed the takes mutant mayhem on the turtles 💖 they’re still their archetypes but in a more relatable way
i absolutely love the turtles as gen z it’s so fun
Leo would like a word about this thumbnail lol. But all in all this movie was really good and great review Carrie
Thank you Chilly 💖 I’m curious to see where you’d rank the movie amongst the other summer gems 👀
@CarrieTooTired it was a really tough list to put together but can't wait for everyone to see it tomorrow

omg not the skibidi 💀 you have given me a new fear for the sequel-
The animation feels like a fusion between Claymation and A teenager's doodles and I love it

Raph does have the best weapon 🐢❤️ him duel-wielding those sai looks sick ✌️

Honestly a great movie, well animated and the milking joke had a great payoff.

honestly that’s an experience every tmnt fan goes through-
I know all too well, my family has loved tmnt for generations
your my favortie content creator who you assume is very popular but when you check the sub count you get suprised
aww thank you 💕 I gained a lot of subs this past week tho we’re getting there haha
As someone who a fan of Gravity Falls I enjoy it
the humor reminds me a lot of it- esp the milking jokes and the scene where the turtles are talking about high school according to ferris buller
@@CarrieTooTired yeah all through that milking joke got old real quick
