I recently erased my Mac Air 2015 to factory reset, as I finished erasing I went to the "reinstall macos" option and did the whole agreeing and whatnot, I thought it was going to work but it failed, I couldn't get back to the same pop-up options with Utility and the other three option, instead, every time I turn on my mac it shows a flickering folder with a question mark. I tried using the internet recovery option (command + option/alt + r) but the progress bar is stuck at the same spot with a clock logo and 24:00 written at the bottom. (My internet is really slow, it's generally 200kbps) I do not have another Mac and I'm not sure if this process from this video will work for me, did I just messed up my laptop?
Honestly, I was expecting this to fail, like many other videos and walkthroughs I've seen but you kind sir, are a king! Followed this video and the follow up and I finally managed to re-install High Sierra on my crappy Mac (Apple's janky internet recovery crap just kept failing..) Thank you again!

@@techcontrolofficial I try it with the apple link dmg but I only see the hard drive too not the usb drive. Why? Can you send me the dmg file please? I see that Albert situation and I think that I have the same problem than he.
This worked for me in 2024 if you are having trouble trying to install high sierra and get this error “This copy of the Install macOS High Sierra application is damaged, and can't be used to install macOS” turn the wifi off and set the date back to 2014 in date and time preference and it’ll download right away. I’ve been up for over 24 hours trying to update this mac and this is the only video that has worked for me.
lifesaver right here. Helped me twice, with this video and with part 2. Tried booting with the DMG file from the apple site first, but on starting up it couldn't find the usb drive. Using your file fixed it. Thanks a lot!
Managed to fix an old Macbook Air 2015 that was not loading properly thanks to this. Struggled to find a .dmg bootable file for High Sierra. Others suggested installing Sierra first since the .dmg is available from Apple directly (High Sierra is not) but the macbook would not recognise my USB stick. Using transmac again however with the High Sierra .dmg provided here worked perfectly. Thank you very much for the file :)
OMG, i love you so much. You literally saved my life. I recently bought a used machine, but there was a problem with its software, so I wanted to reinstall it. It fell during the installation, a pretty big problem, it failed to install and the machine became unusable. Unfortunately, I don't have another MAC machine, so my options were quite limited. I've been trying to create an installer for days, but I just couldn't do it, I started to give up. But now, thanks to you, I managed to solve the problem and can use the machine. A thousand thanks, you are the best!

OMG ive watched several videos and you have no idea how much you saved me. I bought this 2011 mac from a pawn shop and tried to clear former profiles by deleting it but the whole mac got delete. she was so sad thinking we may have to return it to the pawn shop. i did everything right prior just no one explained you have to extract the file first. and for that you get a follow out of me my friend
I was trying step by step this list (and of cours I watched your part one video), but it is doesn't work for me. If I turn on my imac and I use option (it was the first one try) or command+r function keys (it was the second one) my USB is not sees in the list, just only EFI Boot. What's wrong with this? And I have an another problem. My imac doesn't able to connect to the internet (wifi connection is working, and I can see the apple website in safe mode of safari) but the recovery server is not available.

Hi, @techcontrolofficial... I have followed all setup steps to reinstall macOS on my 2011 MacBook Pro. However, I had to do it with another dmg file, because I couldn't find the Google Drive link to download the one you use in your tutorial. I also did the troubleshooting date change you mention on part 2... didn't work either. Both SSD and bootable USB stick appear fine on Disk Utility after I enter Internet Recovery Mode, but not when I turn on the MacBook and press "Option". Then the disks don't show up on the screen. So, where can we find the High Sierra dmg file that you claim to have here on the description? Was that free before and now we have to pay for that? And what happens if we pay for it and it doesn't work... do we get the money back? I would like to try and make sure I'm following all steps with the same exact files. Thank you!
Hi, be sure the startup security allows for external boot. Yes it was free for 2 years almost but our vendor began to charge us because of changes on their end and we could not supply it for free anymore. The purchase link is a tutorial and you will get the dmg file for free upon the purchase of the tutorial. Digital sales are final but one of our techs will work with you to help resolve the issue. In most cases the success rate is above 98% as long as the issue is software related. If the issue is a physical or hardware problem such as a failing motherboard or a failing HDD or failing wire than the recovery process cannot be guaranteed unless the hardware components are replaced. Thanks, TC
@@techcontrolofficial Thanks for the feedback. How can I check if the startup security allows for external boot or change the settings? The Startup Security Settings do not appear on the Recovery Mode menu on my MacBook (early 2011). Thank you.
I am trying to restore an Imac Late 2009 27". Brand new SSD drive. And when I try to use your supplied High Sierra bootable DMG files on the iMac it gives me that the High Sierra is damaged and can not be installed from that disk. I followed your instruction to the letter. Any suggestions on restoring this iMac from scratch, SSDdisk completely blank right now.
Replaced a 2010 Mac Mini HDD with SSD. Using Transmac and UUbyte, the Lion image does not show up using the option key during boot with Transmac. UUbyte says the image does not have a partition table which would explain this. With the High Sierra image, using both Transmac and UUbyte, the image shows up and during install says the image is damaged and cannot install. I have the same thing happen with multiple Lion and High Sierra images using the same process. I Used the images provided from the link in the description. I'm not saying it's your image that is the issue as many people are commenting that it worked great for them, but this keeps happening with any HS or Lion image. Any thoughts? Thanks! Edit: It appears after 20 total hours over 2 days of trying to make this work I did not think to watch the second video explaining that changing the time would resolve this issue. I am up and going without no problems! Thank you very much for both videos!
I'm trying to reinstall MacOS from the given Google drive link but it says "This copy of the install macOS High Sierra application is damaged, and can't use to install macOS". Any idea?

A great tutorial. I just brought a 2010 MacBook Pro back to life.... Thanks! I cannot seem to create an account on I-cloud etc. I've read that each device permits up to a max of 3 accounts to avoid multiple accounts and server space shortage. Is there a way to reset this? Thanks
Can you provide more details, which screen are you on? In settings and trying to sign into an icloud account? Are there any error messages? Normally you would use your apple ID to sign into icloud and it should automatically add the device to your Apple account.

Hi i have a mbp late 2011. I tried running high sierra and it installs fine but whenever it finishes it just takes me back to recovery mode. What should i do?
Greetings! I realize this is an older video now and I am not sure if my post now will reach you (if you are alerted to new Comments received), but I am hoping you do see it and could possible respond to help me. Part 1, this video, worked perfectly. Part 2, next video, will not, because (here's my situation): 1. I have a MacBook Pro (early 2008, 17") in great physical condition with everything working on macOS Yosemite, before I... killed it 2. I accidentally on-purpose WIPED the ENTIRE C: drive, INCLUDING RECOVERY MODE ("macOS Untilities"), and that means that I get the gray folder with flashing "?" EVERY time because I CANNOT access recovery or do anything else 3. As such, WHEN I can find a bootable .dmg file that you mentioned (and you never gave a URL to get more of those, you only provided your Google Drive link for 2 of them, so I sent a request for Mountain Lion and will upgrade from there), and IF I encounter the "corrupted .dmg file" error, there is NO WAY I can change the date in Terminal because I cannot access recovery mode. 4. I had previously followed a different TH-cam tutorial that closely mimicked your steps and made a bootable USB with Yosemite. However, when I turn on my MacBook Pro then hold the [Option/Alt] key, I get a blank gray screen with a small black cursor and NOTHING ELSE; no disk icons to choose from to boot So you see my problem and how I am very sad and confused as to how to save my mac and simply reinstall the OS on a BLANK hard disk (I guess like they would do at the factory when assembling the machines). IS there a way to do this? To tell my machine to recognize the USB drive as bootable AND the .dmg image as bootable AND proceed with the installation?? Or am I doomed. :( If you, or ANYONE, can help me and point me in the right direction with the files and instructions, I would be most grateful and appreciative. I feel like it CAN be done, but since I've not yet seen any posts about anyone else in my situation (with a wiped/blank hard drive with NO recovery), I have no way of knowing IF it can be done or if so, if someone else had to do it, HOW it can de done. Sincere thanks in advance for your (or any viewer's) help. Here's hoping... :)
Hello! Thank you for this tutorial. I just have one problem tho. I've already downloaded winrar and unzipped the DMG file but it still wouldn't show up even if I click show "All Files" during the restore disk image step. Please help :(

In most cases the success rate is above 98% as long as the issue is software related. If the issue is a physical or hardware problem such as a failing motherboard or a failing HDD or failing wire than the recovery process cannot be guaranteed unless the hardware components are replaced.
Thanks,
TC
@@techcontrolofficial Thanks for the feedback. How can I check if the startup security allows for external boot or change the settings? The Startup Security Settings do not appear on the Recovery Mode menu on my MacBook (early 2011). Thank you.
hello thanks for the good explanation video but i need a working bootable dmg file high sierra please
bro, thank you sooooo much!!!
everything worked perfectly!
Check out part 2 I made with the common error messages
Thank you very much for both videos!
sent access request for dmg file, thanks for the great video tutorial
Check now
Thank you thank you thank you thank you THANK YOU for helping me
I'm trying to reinstall MacOS from the given Google drive link but it says "This copy of the install macOS High Sierra application is damaged, and can't use to install macOS". Any idea?
It's not damaged, the date fix should solve the issue. Check out part 2 of the video I posted.
Thank you very much bro🎉
Where did you download the bootable dmg High sierra file from? I've been unsuccessful in finding it.
the file that you have provided s a RAR file but as you said we require a disk image file (DMG)
Download WINRAR and extract/unzip the DMG file from the RAR file
Great Tutorial, Thank you!
Please send a request by clicking on the google drive link I provided in the video description
This was really Helpful. Thanks
Thanks for the access to the file!

@@techcontrolofficial I received the mac for free and re-installed the os from your tutorial. I don 't have an Apple id and cannot create.. that's where the problem starts...
What is preventing you to create an apple ID via apple website and put in your name/email etc. Then activate the email to use the apple ID.
Could I get a link for High Sierra DMG? I hope you still see this i am Stuck with this macbook pro.
Great information
this was really helpful, thank you so much
Hi sir, could you please share the bootable dmg? Thanks in advance 🙏

What year and model is your MacBook?
Hi i have a mbp late 2011. I tried running high sierra and it installs fine but whenever it finishes it just takes me back to recovery mode. What should i do?
Repeat the process,.this time wipe the hard drive and start over.
Thanks Bro. It worked perfectly for me.
That's awesome! Great to hear!
Thanks for the video, i requested access to the file.
Thanks in Advance!
Done
@@techcontrolofficial thanks
Greetings! I realize this is an older video now and I am not sure if my post now will reach you (if you are alerted to new Comments received), but I am hoping you do see it and could possible respond to help me.
Part 1, this video, worked perfectly. Part 2, next video, will not, because (here's my situation):
1. I have a MacBook Pro (early 2008, 17") in great physical condition with everything working on macOS Yosemite, before I... killed it
2. I accidentally on-purpose WIPED the ENTIRE C: drive, INCLUDING RECOVERY MODE ("macOS Untilities"), and that means that I get the gray folder with flashing "?" EVERY time because I CANNOT access recovery or do anything else
However, when I turn on my MacBook Pro then hold the [Option/Alt] key, I get a blank gray screen with a small black cursor and NOTHING ELSE; no disk icons to choose from to boot
So you see my problem and how I am very sad and confused as to how to save my mac and simply reinstall the OS on a BLANK hard disk (I guess like they would do at the factory when assembling the machines).
IS there a way to do this? To tell my machine to recognize the USB drive as bootable AND the .dmg image as bootable AND proceed with the installation?? Or am I doomed. :(
If you, or ANYONE, can help me and point me in the right direction with the files and instructions, I would be most grateful and appreciative.
Please help :(
Thank you for allowing me to install the High Sierra, The download file is a rar format, will this be a problem?
How can I change this to a dmg?
Download winrar and unzip the dmg the steps are in the video description as well
hi! thanks for this tutorial. i tried to do the steps in 2 flash drives to both success. however, the macbook pro wasnt able to detect both the drives.
What year and model is your Macbook?
@@techcontrolofficial I also had the same issue. Its not detecting the flash drive at all. Mine is Mac Air 2015. Will appreciate if you could guide
@@shubhendu483 me too. My mackbook is from 2009

Mine was stuck at Apple Logo.
I've already done everything but it's always stuck at apple logo. please help me. thank you
Which step exactly does it get stuck?
@@techcontrolofficial loading at the apple logo when I start to Install.
I've repeat downloading the Link you give.
ended with this message
Mac os could not be installed on your computer. The path /System/Installation/Packages/OSInstall. mpkg appears to be missing or damaged.
hoping to get access with Mountain Lion as I've tried a lot of DMGs and none worked. Thanks for the tutorial, i hope it works on my macbook pro.
Here you go
Let me know if it works for you.
@@techcontrolofficial thank you! I'll be testing now. hopefully my Macbook recognizes my bootable drive. i can't seem to make the mac recognize my boot drive made by transmac
One of the reasons, depending on the year of your Macbook, you will need the factory MacOS which was installed originally because the base system is older on your hard drive and macos mountain lion installer is not recognized. I have older DMG files as well.
