  • Do you have a Mac that you want to install macOS High Sierra on? Did an operating system update or an update for another program caused the Mac to run incredibly slow? If so, maybe you want to reinstall macOS High Sierra to speed up the computer.
I will show you all the steps to take on your Windows computer in order to format the flash drive, make the flash drive compatible with Mac, and restore the macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 Installer onto your flash drive, so that you can install or reinstall macOS High Sierra on your Mac. I will also show you that the installer flash drive will boot your Mac into the installer.
If you need a reliable flash drive to make the macOS High Sierra 10.13 USB Installer Flash Drive, then I have included a link for a very good and reliable one at Amazon. amzn.to/3Ngi5bK

I don't know how much I can thank you for this tutorial. I searched through the whole night, gave up and went to sleep, and when I woke up, I found your video. My MacBook is back in working condition now. Thank you so much. You deserve a follow

@IT101 I did everything right. So when I clicked on the drive in the options mode…it should have already downloaded high sierra right? Because it just keeps booting me to the old version I have on my MacBook and say the file is some how damage or interrupted. I don’t know what to do.

  • @ukwuegbusamuelebubechukwu1846

The part of converting to dish image the name of my file didn’t change also when I wanted to put into transmac I got a message saying this is not a compressed disk image file it is raw how do I fix ?

  • @mansoorkhan5413

Thank you for providing these easy to follow steps. I am now able to get to the utilities screen. when trying to reinstall, after I click continue and I accept the terms and conditions it takes a few minutes to prepare and what I believe is downloading the install. at this point it reboots and I am still getting stuck on the Apple logo loading screen. the loading bar gets to about 60% complete however It does not get past this screen so I am unable to get to the installation setup steps. I have tried "first Aid" and even erased the drive. nothing seems to work for me. do you have any suggestions?

  • @insidedetails6101

I've tried countless videos and software but I do have to say this is one of the best videos for a step by step process. My macbook pro is a 2010 model and for some reason doesn't want to boot or install the software. Thank you so much for these videos, I really appreciate the work and time you put into these!! I'm stuck at the apple logo with progress bar but no progress, at first it said that the file was damaged or something and to restart.

  • @WaxyClient

I couldn’t get it in recovery mode or any other mode, all I had is a grey file flashing with a question mark on it. After hours of trying everything I couldn’t get it to go to any recovery mode or nothing, but after I followed all your steps and got the bootable drive, all it took was one little plug of this drive and it started booting up. Bought it from a third party so I finally got it to work.

Thanks brother, really helped out since I was having trouble with the screen with the folder with the X and that it could not connect to the recovery servers. Doing this solved my problem. Thanks again.

By far one of the best tutorials I have ever watched. I was tryin for hours to perform the same process without any luck. Come to find out, I was downloading an incorrect file (.dmg) rather than the .iso file that you showed. Followed your process, worked like a charm. It's been a few years since I've created a bootable usb. Thank you so much! Keep making videos!

  • @BukitBertam

Thanks for the tutorial. I followed your method from A-Z twice but unable to boot from the USB3.0 16Gb thumb drive. I used 3 different ones with same result. Then I watched another tutorial and used diskpart to clean, convert to GPT and set primary the thumb drive. Then I restarted your tutorial with this thumb drive and is a success.

  • @jannmedia

After trying over 8 tutorials all over youtube, only your method works for 2011 imac. Thanks a lot

  • @Jude-KiaMingle

THANK YOU SO MUCH! For anyone who's still getting a white screen and cursor and giving up hope - it only worked for me when I plugged in the flash drive AFTER power and option. Been driving me nuts for days and it was as simple as that!

  • @elizabethaa1031

THANK YOU SO MUCH. My son received an old iMac from a family member and I spent an entire week trying to figure out how to do this without any luck and you literally saved the day.
