    I like how just the breadboard was used (8:25) instead of making an actual PCB and solder the components in place.
    It works of course but breadboards are not made for permanent innstallations.
    The cabels/connections of the componets can get loose and this will cause problems with bad contacts.
    Also a circut board is smaller and much cleaner.

      You’re right. In fact, currently it is working with a pcb. I had to substitute the breadboard due to problems with the humidity.

    I'm trying to do something similar to open a sliding door. For me the hardest part seems to be getting a motor with enough torque and getting it mounted. I would love to know more about your motor and mounting. Thanks !

    Nice project you have designed. It can be much safer if you implement a Solenoid security lock into it. Sliding doors without security lock, can be opened using brutal force.

    I think you should replace the test white board by a Printed Circuit Board PCB
    The test board does not have a good material to work for daily use, so I am afraid that you would be replacing the whole machine you have more and more as it will be damaged.
    What do you think ?

    • @davidmdn8137
      @davidmdn8137  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Totally agree! I used a breadboard as a temporary support while I was installing the whole project. But as you can see, I still have not done it!! I have no excuses, I have been too lacy, and I will have to do it one of these days before it is too late!

    Hi everyone,
    I would like to be able to receive the signal from a controller with an HCS301 (MICROCHIP KeeLoq) in the transmitter and with a PICxxx or an ATMELxxx in the receiver.
    There is a library for ARDUINO about receiving the signal from an HCS301 and another to emit the signal from an HCS301, but I can't find it... I'm still looking.
    Greetings to all.

      Células de tipo infrarrojos alimentadas por 12V DC, con salida “normally ON”. Cualquier tipo sirve, lo importante es que detecten un obstáculo y abran un circuito.

    Hi David,
    i got your code copied to arduino. is there option use Wi-Fi template with your code.
    any help appreciated on this.

    • @davidmdn8137
      @davidmdn8137  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Of course. This would be a good improvement because you would substitute the remote controller by a wifi connection to your local internet router device. In that case you would be able to operate the door just using your mobile phone or any other wifi device.
      If you want to do it, you will find a lot of wifi projects in the Arduino Project Hub that shows you how to deal with arduino wifi implementations. You can use an Arduino with integrated wifi module or you can purchase an independent wifi module to connect to your standard Arduino microcontroller (UNO or NANO, for instance).

      By the way, I think that you asked me something about some error when compiling. Now I can not see that message, so that I asume that you have deleted it because you have been able to fix it (I think it was something related to the Adafruit library to be included). Regards.
