Homemade Automatic Sliding Gate Opener // using Gear Motor, Dirt Bike Chain and Remote Controller

- This is a homemade automatic sliding gate opener. I have used a 220v gear motor that is controlled remotely via remote keys and manually with a push button. For the motion I have used dirt bike chains that my friend "Stavros" provided and a DIY gear that fits perfectly to these chains. I have finally turned my manual sliding gate into an automated gate!

If done like this you could easily use a garage door opener. But right now there’s inexpensive gate openers you can use that you could add a sensor too. I’m a gate tech in California

How to open/close when power is off?
does it have a safety feature to stop it incase somebody is between the gate?

I will make sure to make a video about the wire connection on PCB. Any PCB for sliding gate opener will do the job. I think most of the boards are same.
Now lower the motor and add a bigger gear.
Which PCB did you used?
maybe try using an Arduino and lookup how to program it for a wireless remote to turn on/off
