So you haggle for items, and services/tours, but what about food and drinks? Can you haggle at restaurants and bars?
Thank you for the great video! :)

Hey! Thanks for watching! Food and drinks are hard to haggle, because the prices are set. It's better to just find a place with good prices for that or buy your own. For example, you can be at the most popular beaches and bring your own beer at the convenience store instead of getting it at the expensive beach clubs only a few feet away. Happy travels!

These are great tips! You've certainly got it down to science! I am glad I got a chance to experience a bit of Cancun and finally see what all the hype is about. (I'll stick to Bacalar!) ;)

Is there a map with what buses go where and where to get picked up? I want to visit cenotes but I’m not sure if buses actually go to those

There should be a local transit map. Most people simply ask around for which bus goes where. The local ones don't go to cenotes, they're more for in the cities, but what you could do is take a colectivo or bus to a nearby town that does have cenotes and pay a tuk tuk driver to take you to different ones for the day.
The other option is to rent a car, as that allows you to hit different ones in the same day. Easier if you meet people and group up.
      Safe travels, amigo Taylor!

How late do the city busses run? If I were to need a ride home from hotel Zone at 2am to downtown is that safe and possible with busses?

Hey amigo! If I'm not mistaken, the city buses run from the hotel zone to the downtown all night long, but they're just less frequent. In any case, I'd say that the safest way to move around is Uber (the buses are fine in general, but Uber takes you off the street quicker). As a rule of thumb, I'd avoid Cancun taxis if I could, as they have an unfortunate tendency to scam tourists.
As with any Mexican city, avoid walking alone by night as much as you can.

@ramblingandroving Thank you for clarifying that Ubers are okay to use. I was under the impression that Uber use was frowned upon and risky because of the beef between taxis and Uber drivers

great tips! I am going to Cancun next week , but I heard parque de las palapas is under renovation is it still visitable? or is there any alternate spot to check out to see night market scene with street food and souvenirs?

    • @ramblingandroving

Thanks for the comment! When I was last there, a few months ago, it was open, but I wouldn't worry too much about the parque itself being open as there are tons of food options in that area, from differing price ranges.
Hope you have a great time in Cancun, amiga! Safe travels!

How do I avoid food poisoning when eating street food? Great video btw!

    • @ramblingandroving
      @ramblingandroving  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

Your question is gold 😂 I would say take it slow. It's not so much the risk of actual food poisoning (that can even happen in high end restaurants) it's that the bacteria in food is different, so give your body time to adapt, depending on how long you're there for. Go for dishes that are clearly well cooked and avoid anything seafood.
Thank you so much for watching! Hope you enjoyed my videos!
