My boyfriend and I are planning to go next month. First timers! This was a wealth of information. And I'm going to look at your other sites as well.Thank you so much, this was awesome!!!
A few things I would add to your great info:.... Prebooking spa treatments is a good way to ensure you get an appointment or your preferred appointment day/time however as you point out spa prices are ridiculous at most resorts and I'm finding more and more resorts now have reps roaming around the pool/beach/lobby offering substantial discounts. In April I was at TRS Yucatan and we got 2 for 1 massages. (80 min couples massage was $260US total for the 2 of us vs $260 each if we booked before we arrived) Probiotics are great option in my opinion however (as a Dr) I would suggest you start well before your trip because some people can experience diarrhea in varying degrees when they first start taking them and for some it can take weeks to adjust to taking them so not ideal to go thru the very thing you are trying to avoid while on vacation. Of course always check with your own health professional to see if there is any reason not to take them. Pesos vs $US I agree with you that USD are happily and widely accepted in Mexico so if you are American I wouldn't bother incurring exchange fees by buying pesos. For Canadians we have to exchange money whether it's into US or into pesos so its kind of six of one half a dozen of another. If you go to Mexico a lot I'd get pesos if not might be better to get USD because you can use those in many countries if you have some leftover. If you are just tipping it doesn't really matter which you use. If you are buying things with USD in cash just make sure you know what the exchange rate is so you don't get ripped off and watch how they give you change. A lot of times they want to give you pesos for change from USD which is fine as long as you aren't getting ripped off on the exchange. Also for Canadians banks generally don't have Mexican pesos on hand so you have to pre-order them and that can take a week or so where as USD are readily available in almost every bank. Also be aware that if you are looking for a lot of small USD bills for tips banks tend to restrict the number small bills they will give you at once so you may have to go to bank a few times or pre-order the amount you want. My bank usually won't give more than 25 singles at a time and they have limited numbers of 5 and 10's as well. 20's, 50's and 100's they have lots on a daily basis. Pre-ordering is pretty convenient because you order the exact amount you want in the exact denominations you want. Hotels will also exchange USD into pesos if you want a bit of local cash for vendors, tips etc but their exchange rates are higher than banks. For excursions and larger items I just use CC's as they surprisingly have fairly decent exchange rates. My experience is Canadian debit cards do not work in Mexico.
I Just Got Back a Few Weeks Ago and Booked My Birthday Trip To Go Back Today Lol Also Booked Nachos Tours Again😊😊😊 Your Awesome and Doing The Lords Work For Travelers🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
I booked Nacho Tours last year as you've recommended. He's really good, the van was super spacious and squeaky-clean, and newly-waxed literally it smelled clean and fresh, the driver was so helpful to my group of 6. It was a seamless experience for us, a very comfortable ride. I highly recommend him, but this year I am using a different company as it's 7 of us traveling together.
I'm Canadian, my phone is with virgin, and it worked perfectly fine in Mexico. I did set up the travel feature and allowed roaming, and had no problem.
Hello, really need your suggestion on Cancun, Mexico trip. I am planning a trip to Cancun in the first week of September with my wife and 2 yrs old daughter. I have below questions: Do you think that there would be pretty less number of tourists in the resort during this time? Can we go and enjoy the beach during this period or is it not swimmable? Does it rain most of the time in September? Does the pool party and other fun activities happen in the resort during September or is it closed? Really appreciate your help for these answers. Thanks again. Your videos are amazing😍
Ty for watching. Places will def be less crowded during that time. The beaches depend on which resort you go to. Every resort is different with pool Parties thank you for watching
It’s worth mentioning that while you can bring USD and it is widely accepted you will pay about a 20% premium to use USD as opposed to pesos. Most merchants use a rate far lower than the current exchange rate. They are happy to take USD because they make so much more by gringo pricing you.
Okay here’s the deal. I do think you should go once but I think you should watch my video about it because it is very touristy if you just go for the day! @schmoopsadventures does alot more videos about it then I do. Other creators do too! Playa Norte is a must and considered one of the best beaches in the world. But lots of cool places to see
Love your videos! We go to Cancun every year, but thinking of booking in Playa del Carmen. After some research it appears beaches are not as nice as Cancun. What is your experience with Playa?
I haven’t been in awhile because of that!! 5 years ago the beaches were amazing. I think the beach erosion and sargasso changed things. But haven’t been recently to confirm
I really like your channel. We have been to Cancun about 10 times. Its our favorite place. Different times of the year. And its about the same as far as busy. Leblanc resort is awesome for relaxing and none of the loud pool activities
Thanks for the information! I’ve seen you also work with travelingos. Have you ever used them for their airport transport? If not was there a reason? Thanks
Thank you for your video, but I noticed you only mentioned US & Canadian only required passport. What about other countries, my grandma visited us from Vietnam, should she required to fill the FMM tourist card. I appreciate your helps
@@3Days3Noches Thank you so much for the info. She ll actually fly with us from the US and terminal 3. The only difference I believe would be showing her non-US passport. Should her be safe to not filing the FMM? Thank you once again
Drink a lot 🤣. Just kidding!!! I would remember it’s their vacation too so allowing them to unwind in ways they like to. Even if it means staying in the room longer than you would like! Also finding a resort with lots to do and 24 room service that’s included
Are they checking that you paid the visitax for those who have come back recently? We leave tomorrow and I'm not sure I'm gonna pay it. Did last year and no one checked or even seemed to care.
@@3Days3Noches on google it says visa gift card will work anywhere that Visa are accepted, including Mexico. I will be going next week so I’m gonna give it a go, I’ll try to remember to come back and update you if it worked!
What about cigarettes? I am a smoker And i know it will be a special place for smokers on the resort But can i bring with me few packs of cigarettes? Or can i buy from duty free? Or i can buy at the resort?

I am headed to Cancun and will be staying at LeBlanc Resort. How is the weather in September?
Nice!!! It can be nice! It can also be rainy though for hurricane season
Update: I just got back on Sunday. It was beautiful. The weather was nice and my husband and I had an amazing time. Highly recommend Le Blanc Resort..
Omg I’m so happy!! You can’t go wrong there!!
Hi thank you for the information, will the weather be okay in January, been told it’s the coldest month. Thank you!
I love going in January. Sometimes you need a sweater at night but usually beautiful
@@3Days3Noches thank you!
Thanks for the information! I’ve seen you also work with travelingos. Have you ever used them for their airport transport? If not was there a reason? Thanks
Yes in the Hyatt Ziva review I use their transportation
I plan to go at the end of may next year
How the weather looks for that period?
It’s my first time going
The weather should be good. Sometimes the sargassum starts to wash up on the beaches though
Another great video. Thanks :)
Ty!!!
Hi, how bad is the "Sargassum/Seaweed" in Cancun?
It depends on the season and area. I’ll be there and will do some updates

@tah227 I’m pretty sure! If not they will have you fill it out there
When it comes to tips I prefer to give American dollars to make it easier. I still take pesos to do a bit of shopping at the markets in town
Me too!
Hi, what about the visitax? Is that something we need to pay before departing for Cancun? Our travel company didn’t say anything. Thank you

@@3Days3Noches 🤣🤣🤣🍷🍹absolutely. We had a family vacation last year at majestic mirage and was just curious about Cancun. Thanks.
Great idea for a video!!!
Depends on your budget. Punta Cana is less expensive, but Cancun is nicer IMO.
@BigRW not always. The flight to Punta Cana can be more
is bottled water provided in the resorts?
Yes!!!

No one checked ours at the airport.

@@3Days3NochesWe didn't pay it. No one checked. I really wish they'd just add this to the airfare or eliminate it altogether.
Def confusing!!!
I don’t own any credit card I only use debit, do you think loading money on a prepaid visa card from Walgreens or Walmart would work in Cancun
Great question!!!! I honestly am
Not sure but you could try it!
