This is great info to have, we have a week vacation in Cancun coming up in May 2023, I was also worry about getting ripped off for the transportation from Airport to Resort. I was going to just purchase it from website I use, but I think I will give Nacho Tour a try.

Great tips! I am going for 14 days to Barcelo Maya Palace in July. I am already not a light packer to begin with lol. For 14 days to pack only a small carry on don’t think will work lol. But will try best to pack smarter this time around even if we need to check bags. I am sure it should be okay by July got two months exact till we leave.

In Mexico, sargassum seaweed season is generally between May and October each year. If you travel to Cancun outside of that time period you can generally expect to avoid large mats of seaweed on the beaches.

I've stayed in downtown both times I went to Cancun. The food is cheap and great at local restaurants. I've never stayed in an all inclusive

I took my wife for Valentine’s Day. It was the most beautiful weather I’ve ever experienced! It got down in the 50’s a night or 2 and the workers at the resort wore heavy winter coats like we do in Indiana in January. Stayed at the Hard Rock. It was nice but probably will never stay at another one. It was kinda like not being in Mexico not like the other places we’ve stayed.

We love the hotel zone! Especially the beaches! We stayed at The Sun Palace there. We like to hop around and try different areas each time we go!

I have a question about the transportation to Isla Mujeres, we are staying at the Grand Oasis hotel all inclusive but wasn’t sure if it’s easier to book a ferry ride from Xcaret online or should we just wait to do it in person?
We did it in person. I don’t have any experience booking it online. I booked an excursion online there through visitor.com
Book it in person, there are several ferry outlets along the strip - very easy and convenient and cheaper as well ($27 rountrip per person)

You posted a short reel about excursion costs booking on your own versus through the resort and how it enabled you to customize your excursion at a very reasonable price. I am traveling with my mother to Mexico, she is older and a customizable excursion would better enable her to keep pace. Can you tell me which excursion company you used?

@@3Days3Noches no I mean that the Cancun resort offers access to a sister resort on isla mujeres as per one of your other videos. You had gone to sun palace and he access to palace on isle Mujeres. I was wondering if other resorts had a similar option
Ahhh! I don’t think so! But it’s def something to look into. It was a great perk and now the palace resort on Isla is closed.
When you stress not checking a bag, you seem to forget there are people like me who cannot physically lift luggage into the overhead bin and also have large amounts of medication. Checking a bag is my only option.
That’s a great point!! I’ve been on planes with people like that and they just Let the flight attendant know and everyone helps. But still that’s something to consider. Thank you so much!

If we have TSA pre-check will that help us in the CANCUN airport as it does in the US. Will we still need to go through Immigration?
TSA is only for departing from US! You still have to go through customs
Is there a private immigration you can check into so you don’t have to wait in the long lines?
Not that I know of. And the ones I looked into were crazy expensive like $409 a person

Hi, we are heading to Playa Del Carmen end of August and and my hubby contacted Nacho Tours. Maybe the price has gone up but he quoted us $160USD round trip. Not super affordable but then again we’re not staying in Cancun so maybe that’s why? But we have seen better deals. Is there a way to get a better rate with Nacho Tours?

Yes the grand always has sargassum. Something with where it’s located. I don’t recall the pools being super cold there except when we went on Nov when it was raining lol. So sunrise is not adults only. But sun palace is. Are you looking for adults only? If the beach is important to you go to Sun Palace. If you are going more than 7 nights you can use our membership. They will bus you down to Beach Palace for free for the day which is in the hotel zone and that area has nice beaches. It may only be free for people at the Grand. I def suggest upgrading to the Grand. Worth all of the perks and great restaurants Sometimes a lot of waves but beautiful water. Also take the ferry to either Isla Mujeres or Cozumel for the day too. On Cozumel they have a Palace too but no beach there. Watch the video we just did on the excursion to Cozumel. Long day but amazing!!
Do you still get ice in your drinks even though you don’t drink the water?
So many people ask me that!! And it’s a great question. They only use filtered water to make ice as well! At least in my experiences and the places I’ve been. Which only makes sense because they don’t want everyone getting sick!
how do you prevent theft of your stuff at the resorts i have seen a lot about butlers stealing peoples stuff or room cleaning people steal out of the safe how do you prevent this thank you
One is I don’t bring anything too valuable, if I do bring something then I put in my luggage and lock it in there. Like our passports etc. I never use the safe and I always have my phone with me.

Don’t check a bag but pack lots of Sun screen….there is a size limit on liquids and creams. How do you combat this carrying on?

I don’t think so! But don’t quote me on it.
If I'm carrying on won't I be severely limited on how much sunscreen I can carry on?
I don’t think so. I always bring 4-5 small little spray cans and a face tube. But even if you buy it at the resort it costs less than having to check in a bag and less hassle. Look what happened with all of those cancellations. Some people didn’t get their bags back for a week!!
@@3Days3Noches yeah losing the bag is definitely something to consider. Last time I went my resort was charging $20+ for a bottle of the spray and I ended up using almost two of them between myself and mom by the end of the trip. Yes but you could bring multiple cans but it would probably add up $ wise the same! We spend $ on dumb stuff all year. Don’t check a bag, pack some sunscreen, buy some there who cares! Go have fun and live it up 🤗🤗🤗
Which resorts are best for kids 6, 3, and 1? Also looking for Moon palace Diamond member.
If you don’t care about the beach then The Grand at Moon Palace is the best. Did you want to look at a different resort?
@@3Days3Noches beach would be nice, especially for the prices I’m seeing. Looking at 5/27-6/3 (next week). Ideally want drop off kids club available for 3 year old. Most resorts say 4+. Moon palace said fine if potty trained.

Royalton Splash is newer but still working out kinks I’ve heard. Hard Rock always has good options but not a fan of them myself. Other ones I know of but haven’t been to personally are Barcelo Caribe (far from airport) Hyatt Ziva , Garza Blanca

You actually don’t even need to exchange! But the airport has a place and many times the resort has an exchange place too! You should call them and ask!

Thank you so much for watching! So the first time we went we just took the ferry over ourselves and then walked around. We did a video on that lol. The next time we booked directly through the hotel. BUT just found this awesome trip company called VIATOR.com. We used them in Puerto Rico and was very impressed with them. So we just booked with them again for our trip to Cancun in a few weeks. We are going to Cozumel. They emailed me detailed instructions and have great communication.

You can bring up to 3 liters of alcohol into Cancun. So whatever you buy there they just check it at customs. If you go over the limit it’s a fine

Hmmm I haven’t been to Nizuc but you could look into that. The Ritz Carlton was bought by Kempenski hotels. Rosewood Mayakoba looks amazing but is towards Riviera Maya. Also Xcarete Arte also looks amazing but not in hotel zone

How much generally is Nacho for transportation?
Honestly it really depends on so many factors like number of people, time of day and where etc so I don’t like to throw numbers out but his pricing is competitive or similar to other transportation companies. He will give you a free quote with no obligation if you contact him.
