    Was up in Lake Tahoe way back in the late 70s. You DON"T swim in the lake ! Didn't know that until after we went hopping quickly across the burning hot sand....passing people laying on blankets and wondering why no one was in the water...it was SO HOT out ! Found out as soon as we lept in the water and just as quickly lept right back out ! LOL ! Must have been about 40F ! YIKES !! xD

      Which Episode has your Bear sigjting.
      Is there no chance for Bear , trying to get your food North of
      Kennedy Meadows North , Tahoe, Oregon and Washington ?

    • @HeadingSomewhere
      @HeadingSomewhere  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bear sighting would be episode 9 I believe.
      There is chance for bear the whole way… but I grew up in Oregon and feel that the likelihood of bear issues is very low. I rarely see them in Oregon. Washington is slightly higher, and chance of grizzly bear the Canada border. The bear can requirement is just in the Sierras. We saw bears in Yosemite, Donner Pass, and Glacier Peak.

    • @HeadingSomewhere
      @HeadingSomewhere  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rodents are always a bigger threat to our food than bear. We have never had a bear bug us at camp, but food hygiene has a lot to do with it.

    South Lake Tahoe is a beautiful town ruined by too many flat landers and tourists. But the Sierra’s make up for it with their beauty, silence, serenity and majesty.

    • @gmegbert
      @gmegbert 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Or, in reality, was it originally ruined by all the people who weren't born there but moved there? And how does anyone really justify having a "second home'? Without all the visitors, would there be any economy at all? Just wondering...
