I hiked in ‘18. All of your videos are bringing a flood of memories, thank you. This pov style with minimalist editing and subtle music is my favourite and you did it so well. Thank you for your videos
Hey…I got a shout-out! Thanks! 😃 Glad you enjoyed the on-trail hiker trail magic from me. And thanks for making that special delivery to the Trail Angel Cafe for me. He deserved it. I’d be interested in how that went. He let me know he got it on my Instagram. So thanks! Great work hiking and even more amazing work on your vlog. Such epic editing and music and banter. Hollywood-level stuff…from a phone…on trail. Mindblown! 😄👍 -GoalTech
Really enjoying your videos, thanks for taking us with you. You are giving us great scenic shots and just the right mix of walking, talking and the scenery around you. What a fantastic country you live in you are very lucky! All the best and keep it up👍
You’re right about AWOL - he has been crushing it. He left Belden a long time ago and vlogged about it, which suggests to me you must be well beyond there by now, too. He’s probably finished by now or very close to it. He left early enough and hiked so fast, I’m not sure he even had any fire closures to deal with. Thanks for sharing the beautiful videography and the honeybee in your hand. I hope Oakley got new shoes, too.
Thank you so much. I love watching your videos, and it felt like Xmas in August when I saw that it's 24min long! 😂 It's The Best part of my week! #YouAreHikingMyOnlyBucketListItem
So cool that you saw Timothy Olsen! But you guys are just as impressive in your own way--keep on', keepin' on! Your videos continue to impress and inspire! :-)
Keep rocking you two!! I really love your travels! Amazing cinematography!! When your done, you should do a “best of” video!! Although it might be 12 hours long! Lol
I took a picture of that amazing California Sweetshrub flower on your climb out of Belden too! (My climb down) Never seen that on the PCT before. What a flower.
Other Vloggers should watch this video to see how to do an incredible presentation. Y'all are amazing! Thank you for sharing your adventure. BTW, y'all are looking mighty lean.
Congrats!!! I really appreciate your videos! Faith and you are such sweet, kind souls! Total pleasure traveling with you guys and super happy for you! Your parents must be so proud! 🤣❤️❣️👍
Got to love those trail angels! Thanks for another great video, keeping me sane stuck in England. Loving those huge landscapes. Enjoy your next section
The section past drakesbad is so closed cuz of the bad fire in Lassen years ago. Then it just stays exposed. Thank goodness for trail angels. You two are crushing it. Always enjoy your upbeat posts. I was really holding my breath for you to get lodging at drakesbad cuz you can’t camp in Lassen unless you have a site with a bear vault or you have a bear canister. So happy you got to stay there. It’s an awesome place. And you didn’t even see what I consider the prettiest side of Lassen. But burney falls is incredible. Glad you saw it. Hope the hat creek rim didn’t bake you. Thanks for posting
You two are such fast hikers. My goodness what upbeat you are. You’re doing great. So enjoying your adventure. Stay safe and happy. Best to you both, Bill
You guys make a great team. Congrats on making it halfway. 85 down 85 to go right? Although, this vlog is from June 25th, you guys are probably in Washington already. Stay safe!!
23rd at half way point. I'm betting that they are home by now, feet up watching the reruns of their hike whilst editing the new ones for us to watch. They started 2nd April if my memory serves me correctly.
So glad to know you passed the Dixie area before the fire. Looking at the map had me wondering about your route and timeline. Stay safe on the trail and enjoy. We look forward to your videos.
Another great video, so glad you have both recovered and with smiles on your faces too. Well nearly Rob 😉. Mid Point was 23rd June. You started beginning of April. I know that there are some climbs ahead of you but also behind. It leads me to the question or statement. ..... are you both home editing this or still on the Trail? The miles were lower at the start and here at midpoint you are crushing them, that would lead me to believe you are home already. If you are congratulations if not you are within striking distance of Canada. Either way I hope you are both keeping well and look forward to seeing the rest of your hike. Great Channel and as always, love the map at the end.
Thank you for taking us with you. It is sad to now know so much of what you walked thru has been destroyed by fire. I live in Central Oregon and we are covered in smoke. 9/26/2021
Hole in sleeping pad. Haha. That literally what I was fixing when we met you two at Lower Twin Lake. It was such an epic fail as there were apparently two holes. So I slept on the ground essentially at Drakesbad too. 😆 -GoalTech
You 2 rock! Dude you're a fortunate man! She's as tough as nails, not a diva, and she always has a smile on her face! Btw, your Topo heel blowout confirms for me to stick with Altra Lone Peaks!
@@chrisbentleywalkingandrambling if you're referring to the Topo blowout I was talking about her shoe falling apart. Other than that I don't know about a map?
new to vids; watched and "liked" all 13. And are subbed. Are they home and well ? Date of completion ? won't change my viewing; promise (still watching Dixie on A.T. from years ago !)
Been trying to figure out if you guys had a channel before this or if you’re possibly popular on another platform I just can’t understand the amount of views or subscribers for a hiking channel that seemingly just started uploading recently Maybe you can help me understand Thx

I'm always sad at the end of your videos when the trail animation comes on...I don't want your videos to end! Thanks for taking us along!
Best hiking series of 2021
I couldn't agree more!
Been watching your series and my God the scenery just never gets old.
Really enjoying your videos, thanks for taking us with you. You are giving us great scenic shots and just the right mix of walking, talking and the scenery around you. What a fantastic country you live in you are very lucky! All the best and keep it up👍
Nice. Great job editing and balancing views, flowers and personal journey. Ocean eyes well done.
Amazing sunrise!!
Bird Bath and Oakley? I like it!
Seriously impressive footage in this one 👏
Keep it up 👍

Great job guys. I am so excited for you. Half way. Keep going!

I hope so too and I would definitely watch that!!!
AWOL was supposed to camp with the nobos we camped with in Drakesbad, but he apparently kept going…sounds like a beast! I get the name. 😉
I took a picture of that amazing California Sweetshrub flower on your climb out of Belden too! (My climb down) Never seen that on the PCT before. What a flower.
Love watching you guys so inspirational. Thank you for taking us along. always looking forward to the next video
Glad you got to see Tim Olson. I think he came through when we were in camp at Drakesbad so we missed him…bummer.
Other Vloggers should watch this video to see how to do an incredible presentation. Y'all are amazing! Thank you for sharing your adventure. BTW, y'all are looking mighty lean.
Really great video. Hike on!

We are missing your videos! Hope you 2 are okay

Been watching y’all since your first episode of the trek. Awesome videos!!

Man, this was the best video yet. Epic! Congrats!

Very sad indeed. Next year’s trail will be a drastically different one.
What an amazing journey!
Hole in sleeping pad. Haha. That literally what I was fixing when we met you two at Lower Twin Lake. It was such an epic fail as there were apparently two holes. So I slept on the ground essentially at Drakesbad too. 😆 -GoalTech
LOL I feel like I was doing this the entire hike! Thought I got the hole figured out just to realize there was another one!
You 2 rock! Dude you're a fortunate man! She's as tough as nails, not a diva, and she always has a smile on her face! Btw, your Topo heel blowout confirms for me to stick with Altra Lone Peaks!
Is that the map at the end?
@@chrisbentleywalkingandrambling if you're referring to the Topo blowout I was talking about her shoe falling apart. Other than that I don't know about a map?
Oof those Topos were not a good time. I went back to Altras as soon as I could get them!
Funny, I dont remember there being a bench to sit on at the half way landmark
Watched again, because why not? Can't wait for the next one to drop. Love how you crush the miles. One question, will Rob smile before Canada?
What’s the tune around min 17:54 (night hiking)? Couldn’t find a match to songs listed🤷♂️
I would say this is more than half way as far as TIME goes. Most of the rest of the trail is faster now. Let us know if you agree or not.
I was waiting for someone to give the guy on the guitar the "Animal House" treatment.
If I didn't know better, I'd say I saw a smile behind Rob's sunglasses!!! Whoa!!! Do you two have a projected "reach the border" date yet?
It was probably wind 😆 really dry sense of humour he's got there. They are a great Team.
But did Zap find his shoe?
He did indeed!
Hi.what size is your pack.
14:10 Rob = Marv from Home Alone
...it just hit me: what am I watching and getting excited about all week...once you are done with the PCT? ;-)
new to vids; watched and "liked" all 13. And are subbed. Are they home and well ? Date of completion ? won't change my viewing; promise (still watching Dixie on A.T. from years ago !)
We finished the trail on 28 August and are slowly but surely working on the rest of our videos and getting reacquainted with life at home :-)
Great videos! I love you hat! Where's it from?
Sunday Afternoons - over 3000 miles with this hat and it’s still my favorite item!
what paper trail maps have you guys been using? I saw it has water markers on it too!
Nat Geo maps :-)
Been trying to figure out if you guys had a channel before this or if you’re possibly popular on another platform I just can’t understand the amount of views or subscribers for a hiking channel that seemingly just started uploading recently Maybe you can help me understand Thx
Hi there! We did not have a channel before this one. I think that we PCT lovers are just excited to get every bit of viewing content we can!
Love your videos! What map were you using that showed possible water sources? #wanttohikesomeday
I think it's GutHooks but not certain, if you get an answer can you ping me please as I really love this.
We use the Nat Geo maps and verify with Guthook when water sources get dicey!
It's hard to watch this knowing that not long after you past through, the entirety of this section was burned up through Lassen.
So so sad. The trail will be very different next season
RAGGED 0UT SH0EZ r awesome
