Nice man! still 10hp more than the MK 7 and gives me a realistic figure to aim for if I were to go down the same route as you. My ST is around the same mileage and while it drives great, tbh I can feel that its in need of a quick map to tidy up the power curve at least.
10 more?. Have you seen a stock mk7 on the dyno? It makes 180 at the wheels not at the crank, its closer to 210hp at the crank so yeah this mk6 barely hit 165whp haha
@@allanalfaro1384 mk7 will always be faster and I thought it would have been wheel horse power on those mine is leaking off 40- 60% on 3 cylinders so will be rebuilding at some point
You maybe gutted about 192bhp but thats a 30% gain i would be well happy with that ....going to get my cams done ..best mod for me so far has been a full sports exhaust system .made a good gain on power there ...your car looks good 👍👍 ...supercharger next 🤔🤔
Not so much the power it’s how high t had to be revved to get to the power I’m never going to be at nearly 7800rpm which means I’ll never use that power that’s what I’m trying to get at and thanks mate she ain’t too sad and exhausts make a difference on these cars as the standard ones are so restrictive so I know what you mean on that one and no I’m not made of money 🤣🤣🤣 plus there’s way more important concerns at the minute rather than chucking more strain on it will make sense soon don’t worry
All in all, cars allegedly lose a horse a year so that's 134hp you added 59hp on. When getting it mapped did you get it done to run solely on 99ron petrol only? When was the last time you used redex or stp 5in1 ultra or are you trusting in petroleum industries detergents? It looks a lovely ride and pulls wel and sounds great = happy days! If yours is tired at 100k mine at 142k must be debilitated!! Not worth me doing anything to it. Just keep it running, after fresh, gearbox and engine oil, coolant, power steering + brake fluid also I've added pure undiluted concentrated indicator Liquor just for the lulz!! it goes and stops.. I still recommend you enquire regarding a custom exhaust from Flowtech in Dagenham.
True mate and I always ram it on v power from shell and have used a millers additive before too as best thing is to try and stay on top of them but unfortunately for me some changes will be made, as for exhausts I’ve spoken to jamsport and will get one sorted at a later date
100k being high mileage is hilarious. That engine should be in perfect working condition unless molested and never serviced properly by a previous owner. That is quite low mileage. Even yours at 142k should be running without issues.
@@CdotPoppy it should be if serviced right. These engines are bulletproof. Taxis here have Mondeos running those engines with way over 500k and no rebuilds.
End of the day u did ur best on the upside there’s always room for improvement to make more power in future turbo or rotrex also it’s good insight for other people who share same passion for there fords so well Done mate 👍🏻👍🏻

I've been following development on these since the beginning and all i can say is that it makes good power, i've seen younger and lower mileage making less! I also read you would like to try a Fusion Fabs inlet, i have a brand new one for sale and i've been searching for a genuine Cosworth. So if you're interested let me know, i'm from Belgium though so not exactly close to you... :-D
I wouldn’t mind tying one but I quite like my cosworth one haha but what I’m saying is yes it made a good figure but it was revved high to get here plus Jamie knows what he’s doing with these if he says something isn’t right then something isn’t right with it

The power figure is good just too high in the revs did a cylinder leakage test and it shows that the compression rings are worn, and thanks mate much appreciated, it has a milltek exhaust but it’s getting taken off and going for custom as it’s constantly leaking

Yeah? You should be making a boat more than that. Mine was 149 ft/lbs with a map exhaust and filter. You don’t think your timing off from the cam swap?
@@simplesi6513 no was all locked in place with a proper timing kit and didn’t touch the bottom pulley as I know they’re floating, I’ve done some tests as I was speaking to Jamie the next morning and it’s all figured out as to why

@@6uiltdifferent tbh mate the st150 is a sick hot hatch for the money and cheap but before i spent more money on myne trying to make 200bhp i sold it for 3k and just baught a 2017 polo gti for around 11k 200bhp stock and after a revo stage 1 with air filter, exhuast and map we making around 276hp for just £4000. no point plaughing money into n/a car. to think you have spent so muh money for just 192 when a corsa vxr from 2007 comes with 192 from factory puts it intro perspective.

Know the feeling! Has exactly the same experience with Jamie last year with my ST. Sold my Inlet and TB setup and just bought ITB’s.

Always the way with NA cars it's hard to push for any big gains. Although it not made a lot of power the way it mapped will be a lot different
