    How do you fit the crank timing pin? The driveshaft is in the way for me

      Use a spanner to remove the bolt then the pin should fit in it did on mine

      @@6uiltdifferent I managed to get the bolt out but the pin seems maybe too long or something it hits the driveshaft first and only a bit of the pin goes in

      @@6uiltdifferent yeah fairly sure, the kit says it's for a bunch of duratec engines including the 1L. There's a narrow pin for the little hole on the crankshaft, and another pin that's long. Then there's a slightly shorter fatter one which I'm presuming is the correct bit

      I spent nearly an hour trying to get the timing pin in. Ended up pulling the driveshaft in 5 minutes lol was much easier

      Thanks mate and the car currently has a k&n filter with a cosworth inlet manifold and the fuel system is standard

    Hi mate. I had a full rebuild and head was skimmed. Do you think it would be a problem fitting cams because it’s skimmed?cheers

      Unfortunately there’s only one way to find out on that one is to try it fit the cams and turn the engine over by hand if it rotates freely then you’re good if it locks up then it’s a no go

      I couldn’t get a printout so I just tightened them all by hand then gently went in opposites

    hi mate. can i run just a cosworth style inlet manifold with doing cams and that. got a chance to get one but probably won't do the uprate the cams, just like the look of them.

      You can it will still run okay you’ll just find it’s a bit flat and underpowered on the low end

      @@simonpryke1846 if you don’t want cams I’d personally go for the fusion fabrications manifold you keep the torque and it’s been based on the mountune inlet manifold

      Hello mate it was crap if I’m honest was getting like 14mpg if I’m lucky but it’s a lot better since it’s been mapped ranges from 17-24mpg now

      No mate wish I’d pulled the timing cover off and done it that’s why I said don’t do it this way was an absolute nightmare to get back on 🤣

      I have one more question. How much mile did your engine run before installing sharper/higher cams? Did you change the valve springs? If yes for standard ones or for strongest ones.

      They make a nice difference mate defo worth doing in my opinion hopefully will be doing another video as I’ve figured out doing it this way and be able to pin the tensioner back 👍🏻 just trying to sort a car to do

    is there a way to move all that horrid black loom on the left of the Rocer Cover out the way? as i am going to be spraying a new cover Gold and be nice to have it fully on show and not covered on the left

      I remember the guy I bought my manifold off of saying you can remove it from the alternator and tuck it under the engine mount but I haven’t tried it to see if it needed to be extended but I know what you mean would make life easier when removing the rocker cover in the future

      @@6uiltdifferent not sure where the engine mount is, but i would like it to just be to the left, even if the black plastic cover can go and the wires just cable tied to run above or below the front of the inlet would be good. That way when i have my Gold Rocke Cover it would look so much nicer

      @@DriveWithAndy it’s hidden under the coolant bottle and I’m sure the plastic part is two pieces clipped together so it’s probably possible

      You don't need to extend any wires but you do need to strip the existing conduit from the loom quite a bit to where the wires all meet at the front of the inlet manifold down on the right hand side. You can then separate the cable that goes to the alternator and run it infront of the inlet manifold underneath the engine mount. Re wrap it in conduit and tape and cable tie it away from the accessory belt

      The inlet go on with no issue you just need to make sure you have the correct fittings to connect vacuum lines etc

      I have 05 st150 and have ordered one from jamsport do u think if it’s not to much of a inconvience help me with fitting it I know how but item needs adjusting and u have experience ?

      @@benwrestlingking4543 mine was already done for me basically to need to line up your throttle body to it as one of the holes don’t line up drill a new hole in it and tap it my one was butchered so I had to nut and bolt it

      Standard ones they’re not really necessary if you’re going for 200 bhp

      Haven’t stamped on it yet only just bedded them in and replaced the oil again tonight had a couple of blips and it’s defo more responsive
