    honestly BIG Kudos for doing this yourself. I do like a bit of DIY but for a job like this i will be going a garage haha. But also i would be letting someone like Jamsport do it anyways as will loook to do all the perfoamnce mods in one big go to save fitting costs. So have you noticed anything since fitting? as you always hear that these inlets give great bhp but dont add torque

      Thanks mate I used to be a mechanic so it’s second nature now 🤣 and yeah I don’t blame you labour cost is a killer lost a bit of torque but was good on the top end but since fitting the cams the car has been a lot better has a much better power band

    Sell the Cosworth inlet and get a Fusion Fabrication inlet, there designed on the Mountune inlet. You won’t loose the low down torque then.

    • @6uiltdifferent

      I’ve heard nothing but good reviews on them but when driving on the cossie one I find the torque has dropped but is more linear plus if you Stamp on it it’s isn’t far off what I had before and that’s without cams and a map but I would like to try the fusion fab inlet too

    That oil cooler at 6:35 is an air trap, pumped oil contains lots of air which will end up at the top of your cooler matrix. It can never escape and only the lower couple of rows are doing any cooling. Is it engine oil or power steering ?

  • @RICHARD95918
    @RICHARD95918 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    It sounded healthy no chain rattles but it ok at high revs it's low revs it has problems with its just jumpy and misfiring so u don't recommend changing the sensor and the question is has it bent any valves it starting 2 be a bad job this should of left it alone as it ran good just failed on emissions

    • @6uiltdifferent
      @6uiltdifferent  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can try the sensor if you want but it’s hard to give advice on a car I’ve never seen before plus you’d know if valves had bent as the engine would either be trashed or wouldn’t start etc I’d look up the code you’ve got and see what suggestions it gives but I’d defo check the timing. And if it misfired on low revs there’s an issue there straight away that needs sorting

      I’ve only seen them the way I did it but the way you said would make sense as I’d be able to bolt it down on the top thanks for that I’ll get round to that at some point

    Does anybody actually know what that valve does at 30:30

      Mixer valve adjusts the fuel air mixture in the standard inlet it’s not needed on the cosworth manifold

      Just seen them bud that’s the map sensor there should be an opening on the front of the manifold and it’ll bolt to there you’ll have to go in from underneath or even hang the slam panel off a bit
