Bullet drop is probably the biggest change since Hunt 2018. CRAZY
It'll be fun relearning the game with all the newbies learning it for the first time lol
CRAZY
You owe me a pack of gushers
vdd mano se ta certo
Without seeing the actual bullet like in Battlefield 1, this will lead to frustration for sure... NICE :)
"Compact Ammo weighs the least, and has the flattest curve while Long Ammo weighs the most, and will drop rapidly."
*Galileo self-rezzes looking pissed
So does this mean that the Winfield Marksman with high velocity will be one of the best snipers in the game?
@@koyomiararagi3018 always was
What the, how does that make sense. In a vacuum, a feather drops at the same speed as a bowling ball. Why would ammo weight increase bullet drop?
@@theoreticalfacepalmyou just answered your own question. Vacuum
Why the quotes? He didn't say that
"any headshot at any range will always be lethal" silenced nagant sounds pretty juicy
Until you shoot it and learn that the bullet has a trajectory of an arrow.
Now nothing stands in my way, I can finally reach my final form, the derringer god
This is just how it was when the game was in Alpha. Good times.
@@MylesJacobSwie wasn’t there time when you need more than one shot to the head with silenced Nagant?
With any weapon? With a pistol also?
If we're getting bullet drop, can we make it so the spyglass can actually show ranges in live match? That would be awesome and bring an incentive to actually take it into matches.
@@spamlorddooomba huh, maybe not ranges but shows ways to mesure it
As a spyglass main, I'm appalled that you don't think there are reasons to take it into a match already. Smh
@@spamlorddooomba this was hinted at by Dennis some time ago. My hope is with the updated engine we will get a more contextual ping system and then the spyglass update can be implemented.
@@kirkhuff1124 the only contextual ping i would support is one that indicates a distance beyond DSB range.
@@CetomimusGillii spyglass is underrated & you are a chad.
Im deeply worried about the effect of bullet drop on suppressed
Weapons (sparks especially, those irons are going to make accounting for bulled drop near impossible)
😮 BULLET DROP? Though I don't mind the added realism, we're talking about a 6 year old game with an already well established gameplay mechanic. This isn't re-balance; this is a whole gunplay rework - for something that wasn't broken. The gunplay feels so good already! Iron sights are probably going to suffer vs scopes and I can't see universal headshot lethality as a good thing at this point. I just hope this doesn't frustrate and push away the established player base over the potential for gaining a few new players.
They just want us to spam flechette at this point.
There is no added realism....the bullet drop is calculated by weight not by Velocity...ultimate physics
@@immerda4244it is velocity, not weight, for the tenth time. Bullet density and weight help keeping velocity.
And why is everything to get new casuals into the game? This comes up with any change even when the game gets harder.
@@AllisterCaine Almost everything so far since the new Events started with Tide of Shadows felt like it was catering to a new audience that wasn't the core of the game. Atleast to me as someone who has been playing since 2019. The veterans love the game for what it is. Such a drastic change to gunplay is not made with the core playerbase in mind.
I totally agree! The presence of travel time and not bullet drop is a huge part of what made hunt’s combat unique when compared to other shooters. I really don’t see the benefit of adding bullet drop after 6 years of not having it, imagine if a game like Battlefield removed bullet drop midway through the game’s life cycle lol
Trials will be gone in august. While this is understandable, there's one trial that I particularly like, the mosin one on the train station, to kinda warm up a bit on moving targets.
It wasn't much but it was still something. Is there any plan to add some moving mannequin in the training ground, especially with the new bullet drop rule ?
My man spittin truth right here!
@@RaskarKapaq the tutorial will still be there im pretty sure & that trial is actually not a great choice for warming up.
Try the one at the slaughter house, only shoot zombies in the leg & try complete the objectives. Shooting while moving is much more applicable to live matches than crouching on a roof; zombie legs, sometimes running towards you even, are much more analogous to hunter movements than idle animations; maneuvering quickly through the compound while avoiding damage is more analogous than sitting still; etc.
@@RaskarKapaq sorry I don’t know his name but the bald game design director said there were no plans for moving dummies in a video with rachta like a month ago.
@@TepidtamalesWell indeed he did, thanks for the useful piece of information!
@@Tepidtamales Seriously? So now there won't be any way to effectively warm up, just shooting stationary dummies....
Does bullet drop not buff snipers more?
Only scoped weapons can account for drop because iron sights literally block you from seeing what youre shooting at.
It’s going to be even harder to contest snipers because of this.
That's what I was thinking
Just like in real life.
Ya and to you want to lead with the weapon blocking the line of sight to acount for horizontal movement
Yes and they need it.
If you were out in the open, in an environment with such RICH opportunities for cover and concealment... you made a mistake.
If you can't learn how much elevation you need for a still target... you made a mistake.
If it's a moving target, you have to lead it horizontally so the target isn't obscured anyway.
Personally I liked the no drop, but hey, most of the games I play have drop. I'll adjust.
Yeah, it's going to be such a problem given snipers appear in 1 out of 10 games at best.
Uppercut in august launch will deal now 123 dmg.
Interesting
Yes thank goodness. A pistol shouldn't body one tap. And I'm glad it's 1 more points then the 122 for the haymaker. Since it has shotgun and holds 9 rounds. Makes sense to be 1 point weaker
I suppose I will see Sparks pistol way more often and I LOVE that
It’s more balanced by its reload speed and I’m bored to see only uppercuts as a shotgunner’s sidearm in 5*
It's still a long ammo gun that can either be used to expand long ammo pull, or having a good penetration secondary. I think it's welcome considering the "uppermat" and now the Krag deal 126 already.
well, true shot will take its place if ever does
Agreed great. But why buff the krag to over 125... There are now 7.....7! Long amoot rifles that can body tap. Why. It was fine as it was. And good nurf uppercut and matt they where dumb they are your 2 tabbing backup long range. Not your instakill downed hunters up yo like 40m gun
These are all awesome changes...except for the bullet drop. Are there not enough factors to consider when firing a weapon in this game? Just seems unnecessary.
Headshots being lethal at any range for all weapons is Hackers galore.
like saving 1 bullet would change so much
eh, bullet drop will likely make them miss
@farot4594 I mean I guess that's their goal with the bullet drop but I guess 🤷
Bullet drop will just make scopes stronger and iron sights worse. I really hope it won’t suck.
As it stands scoped weapon variants aren't doing really well, so I see this as a welcome change
Yeah idk what your on about, all the best players use irons and snipe people without scopes, they preffer it for the fov. Idk what world your in.
I mean... good? At the moment, scopes are pretty hard to use at short range and don't really have a purpose for the upper half of the playerbase. I learned pretty quickly that taking an aperture variant let's me see far for spotting purposes, then taking the shot with ironsights is the more efficient way to play. Last week I sniped a dude so far I could barely see him... with a marathon swift. Like, I'm not saying it's EASY, but widening the gap could actually give people a reason to take a scope variant... or just push fights closer together, because for every one guy that wants to snipe from the hills, the whole team he's shooting at will be incentivised to close in on him and dominate at their preferred range.
Stronger compared to no-scope rifles, but weaker compared to shotguns, which are carried by 50% of the players in every session. So it's a nerf to rifles overall.
@@Ariocsneedle I got hit 197m last night with a reg. mosin in the noggin. can concur.
Headshot changes are actually huge and open the road for stuff like precision nagant and multiple dead eye/marksman variants to be useful at long range, very interested
I quit hunt but this hopefully will make it so fmj isn’t as rampant on pistols but then again idk… they need to do more for this launch I feel :/
@@be.a.7462 Seems to me the entire game is changing on August, what else do you feel needs to change? I think we need a few months before more changes are implemented
This! I always felt my Nagant precision more like a pellet gun
the idea that a pistol at extreme range can one tap in a video game seems unbalanced.
@@Pwnopolis hopefully the bullet drop and changes to velocity make it a lot harder to hit those long range shots
Will the update in August change something with the reconnect feature ? Like 8 out of 10 Reconnects end up in a Dsync Game that is unplayable, Super Muffled/No Sound. I need to reconnect at least 2 times for it to work.

@@NoName...... only gonna be noticeable for everything, except long ammo rifles
You will notice empty games that's for sure
@NickName-nc2ld people will comeback at the start, that is pretty much guarenteed, depending on if they release an event with the new engine, I give it 3-4 weeks before players act like the gunplay changes, and start to dropoff
@@NoName...... You wouldn't notice that, I'm not sure if there's any instance you will actually fire to 200 meters or something, this game has pretty bad spots for sniping.
bullet drop should be tied to velocity, not ammo size
its tied to both
@@michaeltollervey2056 It's not tied to velocity or ammo size. Only barrel length and reload mechanism. Spring vs winnie: 490ms and 85 drop vs 400ms and 50 drop. No way it's affected by velocity otherwise mosin and spitzer would be multiple hundreds of meter.
bullet-drop was not necessary... the headshot mechanics yes, but this one is a big no no... It was not necessary and was not needed, for the rest I kinda wanna see where they are going, but bullet-drop mechanics, for me, is a waste of resources and was not necessary to make the game more interesting...
bullet drop should not be tied to anything because this makes balancing much harder
I'll rather not make long ammo more powerful than it already is
I've learned to not judge HUNT updates until I play them, but I feel robbed by small amounts sometimes, even after I play, and these changes to bullet drop kind of piss me off as I've gotten 80M headshots with paxes and now if I wanna do that I got to blind fire fire under the barrel. I feel I'm slowly being less invigorated and more lethargic towards Hunt, but I've been playing this game since the Dolch was once a medium ammo gun and you tapped x on Xbox to insta heal from med boxes
Adding bullet drop at this stage of the game seems weird. People will definitely have to change the way they play. And as someone who never uses scopes in Hunt, I imagine I will probably have to start since I likely won't be able to see what I'm shooting at without a scope since the gun would cover the target completely at even medium distances. Though most of my favorite guns have taller and thinner sights, so maybe not nearly as much. But then that also means a lot of guns with shallower and thicker sights will be completely off the table for me, whereas they were at least be somewhat serviceable without bullet drop.
guess that bullet drop with ironsight will work realy good (not) roffel roffel

@@kirkhuff1124 have you ever used the crossbow over anything than 50m?
so can we flip up the sights of rifles to account for the drop? Otherwise you are just asking us to shoot with the iron sight blocking the target.
I'm skeptical about bullet drop being added to Hunt since one of it's appeal was that it didn't have any. Though seeing that long ammo does get nerfed makes me a bit hopeful that it'll do some good and make Long Ammo not that great.
It seems to only take effect after a certain range, so it should only really affect you if you're a sit-and-snipe type of player, otherwise, you'll probably only have to make small adjustments.
Not 100% sure, though, just what I picked up.

@@49ers4everrr don't know why you're so confused. But to answer your question, you will need to aim slightly higher at long distances.
Cuz they know everyone gonna play katana and melee weapons or shotgun
This game needed it from the start. Long distance sniping was way too easy without it.
Bullet drop is based on muzzle velocity not bullet weight...
With Zero air yes. But with air, more waight results in more drop.
@@marcesser4218 no it doesnt. Weight does not increase air resistance. For the 2nd time in this comment section, air resistance is determined mainly by shape, and shape is influenced by caliber (width) not weight.
Heres some data. At 500yards, 22LR drops about 440 inches. It weighs 40gr. 6.5 PRC weighs 140gr. It drops 41 inches.

I feel that introducing the bullet drop will give a big advantage to scoped rifles over iron sights. It will be almost impossible to hit a strafing target at a distance with a weapon when you have to shoot high above the target and the weapon model will block your sight. Or is introducing iron sights with adjustable range planned as well? That would make it a bit easier.

I am very disappointed to see bullet drop added. I find bullet drop to be an extremely un-fun mechanic in every single shooter I've ever played that it is in. One of my favorite parts about hunt is that it doesn't have bullet drop. I might genuinely stop playing.
HAHAHAHAH SKILL ISSUE
Honestly, one of the reasons I picked up hunt was because it does not have bullet drop.
So I am not happy at all about that announcement.
The rest, except unlimited headshot range sounds great.
Some information for the Hunt team:
Bullet drop is influenced by several factors, including:
1. Bullet velocity: Faster bullets travel further before gravity causes a noticeable drop. High-velocity bullets, therefore, have less bullet drop over the same distance compared to slower bullets.
2. Ballistic trajectory: The shape and design of the bullet affect how it flies through the air. Aerodynamically designed bullets tend to have a flatter trajectory and less bullet drop.
3. Bullet mass: Heavier bullets maintain their speed over longer distances better than lighter bullets and therefore often have less bullet drop.
4. Weapon and caliber: Different weapons and calibers have different muzzle energies and ballistics, which affect bullet drop.
And not: less weight = less drop
The current devs have never shot a gun, and also don't understand that heavier objects don't fall faster!
@@gloobamane6516 gameplay balance trumps reality.

Not sure how I feel about bullet drop
I'm an active Hunt player since 2019 and got about 4k hours of play time. Some changes to the game seem promising, but it feels like Hunt is slowly becoming a game I can't recognise anymore...
Bullet drop for example is a big change that I think is not needed at all. It should have either been in the game from the get-go or never be added after.
I just hope the game will somehow still feel like the old Hunt I used to know in 2019.
I feel the same brotha. Kinda sad after watching this
I have the feeling that they don't really know what the game should be. They added so much arcadish stuff to the game, the we went Naruto style, the they want less effective melee tools for bosses but brought an OP spear now they want it more accessable for new players but made it as hard as possible with bogus physics of bullet drops.
Also they wanted to make the Immolator feel more elite yet you can oneshot it with a spear to the foot.
They want to cater more and more to COD, MW and CSGO players thus making the game more bland and losing its identity. It has been losing the the unique flavor it once had. The bad news is they try to cater to those other shooter type players will backfire in the long run because what will happen is that they will come to Hunt and play for a bit then just return those well established franchises and by that point Crytek won't have the new players they hoped and will have lost the old players that were drawn tot he game before all the changes got out of hand.
Same, fighting snipers while you are using ironsight would be a nightmare, since you wouldn't be able to see them while aiming for their head, duh. Maybe it there was a option, to set the sight to zero at given range (toggable in game), and use spyglass to actually measure range, it would be fine i guess. But still the game would become even more of a campfest, which acording to video (necro, chokebomb changes etc.) they are trying to mitigate.
I got the time as well, can any of us say that hunt is really “the same” since then, the devs have made a lot of changes that I didnt like the idea of at first but ended up normalizing with in the end. I think everything’s gunna be alright lets just see how it goes
Damn I want that Caldwell pin
About the bullet drop. Provided your target is stationnary or semi-stationary (moving left-right continuously, for example), how will you be able to aim/see your target if you have to aim higher to hit it?
The sight of the gun will hide the target... no?
I've played battlefield for years which has always had bullet drop and you learn to compensate. You track as normal and just before you fire you raise the barrel the needed amount. It's a lot easier than it sounds and you will pick it up quite quickly. Especially as he said it is a small drop that you will only notice long range.
for a while I've only thought of the update as a graphics overhaul this update made me realize this is a true relaunch. exciting time
Would've been better if any of the changes were wanted by the community though. I mean the nerf to chokes and the centred crosshairs are ok but everything else is just confusing.
Not looking forward to bullet drop myself like, seems mental to add it to an already running game, where people have 100s or 1000s of hours of learnt gunplay. Seems like its going to change the game to much.
Might as well just change all the gun velocities by 40% randomly so we have to re learn every aspect of shooting. Maybe make all the guns automatic 😅
Honestly wouldn't be surprised if they add sliding or dropshotting in the bext dev update
bout time.. now to make those burn traits like rampage stack since they show a 1/3... the ability to just burn away a trait ingame would be nice in case you're full and find a better trait.. no upgrade point refund, just removes it.
Now I can't laugh at people who complained that the reticle isn't in the centre anymore
The resurrection stuff is very cool, but the bullet drop is pretty odd
You'd think it'd be a mix between bullet weight and velocity
Bullet drop seems a terrible idea. You will only be able to use a scope effectively at range. If you aim with iron sight on these old guns and look up just a bit you will be shooting completely blind. What fun is that?? Hunt should absolutely never have bullet drop because of the heavy reliance on bulky iron sights. It will only be snipers now if this change goes through
And I will not be playing! Lol
Please no bullet drop :-/ You will already change so much stuff, and a lot of it sounds good, but why not step it down a bit and test just a few things with the update? To just look how things work out and then try more? This could be a shitshow in august... especially if you think about that almost every patch, as small as they somtimes where, introduced some kind of bug that takes them ages to fix... what will happen if they change the game at this scale?
Dont play it then

Bullet drop is not necessary. I think it will be science to play with different guns and ammo types to hit shots.
It sounds like people have to play one weapon and ammo type only to be good with it or just learn the whole game anew if they want to try a new one.
It buffes snipers too bc of the scope. Cant see anything with iron sights
Why not just add bullet drop to scopes? They needed some adjustment since they are absurdly op if you play passive and at range. It feels like the bullet drop change was to address scopes but you guys are adding it to ironsights too. not cool man, not cool.
why not remove all scopes..hahaha..snipe like real man with ironsight from 200m
@@hexmoures3310 I fully support this decision.
I'm glad the bullet don't start to drop immediatly. It may need to be tweaked a bit further after launch but we'll see.
The lack of bullet drop is in my opinion a really good thing in hunt right now because unlike FPS games set in a more modern era, most weapons don't have access to a clean low zoom scope with visibility below the point you're aiming at. You can't take the drop into account if the gun completely hides your target, or you have to do weird upward mouse flicks at the last moment before shooting and both of those situations are detrimental to the gunplay in my opinion.

Hold on, the conversion and uppercut drop start at the same distance, but compact drops with less curve. Unless velocity has a far stronger effect on drop, the base conversion will be more reliable. Not to mention the Pax! Frickin RIP to my favorite pistol.
I’m really excited for a lot of the changes in this update, but the option for a centered crosshair and the addition of bullet drop really just seem like they’re stripping the game of it’s personality. I’m glad that we’ll still be able to use the old crosshair if we want it, but obviously a change like bullet drop can’t be optional, so I’ll focus on that.
There is no other game I’ve played that has bullet travel time, but not bullet drop, like hunt does. The first tip that experienced players give newer players, both ingame and in tutorials, is that there is no bullet drop. Not only would this change make a whole bunch of those videos outdated in a way that no new player getting into the game would expect, but it also makes hunt less unique. I personally enjoy playing with pistols more than any other weapon type, and I’m sad to see that the medium ammo pistols are going to be affected more by bullet drop than compact ammo pistols, since medium ammo doesn’t get enough love already lol. I really enjoy being able to compete with rifles when all I have is a handgun, it’s like being in a western movie. The addition of bullet drop just seems like it’s gonna act as a nerf to my personal favorite weapons, and not as much is gonna change for the bolt action and lever action rifles, which have a crazy high pickrate as things are already.
Ah yes, time to buff shotguns, melee, close range spam, and scoped weapons (those weak and underperforming weapons) even further by adding bullet drop. Exactly what the game needed!
Hunt was my alltime favorite game ever UNTILL NOW. This is so sad. Very sad day for hunt community..... Necro and bullet drop are a 200% game changer.

Absence of bullet drop is the reason I played Hunt. Please, don't. Just..please. It will be just frustrating and nothing else for most of the experienced players.
thank you for these videos and keeping us updated! As a veteran of the game i love most of the changes in here, necro spam, and stalemates were some of the most frustrating parts of the game, along with snipers, which may be helped with the bullet drop! Although the bullet drop scares me a little bit, I'm hoping it really only impacts the farther sniping shots, and not the 50m pistol headshots, well have to wait and see!
I've got a bit of an issue with bullet drop rn. Ofc, we will have to see how it plays out in the end, but right of now I think it might be even a bit of a buff to scoped weapon variants. Think about it like this - if you're gonna aim at a distant target with iron sights, you're gonna need to rise your gun and cover your target with it. This leads to your shots being based way more on luck, than on skill. Scopes won't have this problem, bc you'll still see the target clearly, so it's gonna only require to skill up your game.
I fully believe this change alone will make me go from a low 5 star / high 4 star into somewhere mid 3 star category, since my shooting already is pretty terrible. I switch guns a ton, after 700h I still can't lead targets with anything bc of that, and suddenly I'll have to learn the bullet drop additionally.
As for necro, well, that was expected to happen sooner or later since a lot of people hate on necro deeply, so even as a solo player I have no issue with it. It will hurt, ofc, but from what I know there was no solo res at all before, so I'll deal with it. I'll just have to run away or extract after 1-2 fights max xD
Witness being added is cool. Shadow leap didn't want to work for me most of the time, so wtv, no feelings about it.
Crosshair... Probably gonna stay with lowered bc I'm used to it, but it might bring some new players to the game, so that's cool.
I really hope bullet drop change wont make it into the game. If i want bullet drop i go play other games…
skill issue
over all cool changes. Not sure about the bullet drop as that is part of what made hunt unique would rather not see that get added. For the necro nerf its understandable but maybe make it have max stack of 2 so you can necro both teammates in trio. I am curious for the bullet drop if this mean Winfield with HV will be meta for the long range snipes since headshots are guaranteed kills
I believe it only burns when you die right? Or does that only apply to Solos?
@@MysteriMaan burn traits burn the moment the burn condition triggers, for necromancer it will be the first time you revive yourself or a teamate, for example remedy triggers the first time you sacrifice a trait to trigger restoration, or relentless triggers when you get revived.
Unsure if that makes winfield meta. Bullet drop will be faster on compact ammo
You can use it unlimited to revive allied since you are not dead, but in solo when you get downed you are technically dead so you lose the trait after 1 revive
Necro is a nerf and a buff and thats how necro should be
Keep up the great work Crysis! We appreciate the communication and transparency.
Падение пуль было бы хорошей идеей, если бы добавили эффекты попадания этих пуль в поверхность, для корректировки выстрела.
Стрельнул ты в охотника, а куда пуля попала - без понятия, доска рядом с ним даже щепками не разошлась
crytek SHOULD NOT add bullet drop, its not a counter to snipers, its a punish for ironsights!
the reason why it was never added in the first place was because of ironsights!
this should be removed immediately
Centered Crosshair is big! The headshot at any range will make comapct ammo scopes fun again but I doubt rifles like the Berthier Marksman will be worth the cost. The burning stuff is not a nice way to make the game more offensive I would have hoped for a sound based solution.
So.. you think removing players from the game instance permanently will add to more player interactions?
The way the game works... If the opponent doesn't engage you within seconds of their teammate dying they aren't engaging you at all so it doesn't matter how long it takes to burn a body... it's not creating more player interaction.
Also, the faster burn times and limiting of necromancer will lead toward more player cowardice and more defensive situations just like it ALWAYS HAS. Prior to necro people literally sat in bushes and sniped or around corners and shotgunned you because they had A SINGLE LIFE. Necro made for more hectic engagements and wild gameplay, especially for the solo who charged into a lair during a gunfight. Removing that ability to get up will make for more cautious gameplay.
It's like noone has a brain in their head... As I age I realize why the term "useful idiot" exists. Everyone's a fu**ing parrot and cuck.
Necromancer: I absolutely love what you're doing with this trait. It is precisely what I suggested. I might offer one more suggestion that should be legit balanced given all the other changes. If downed in a team and you have necro, you should be able to self-rez just like a solo, 1 time, and trait is burned. Seems fair to me. Hope you consider that!
I'm looking forward, thanks for keeping us up to date!
Will changing to the centered crosshair also affect where the player aims for the other other players? Like when I'm peeking over something will the head be more visible if I use one or the other crosshair?
good question
Not sure if bullet drop is a good idea. How will I fight a guy while my gun blocks my view on iron sights. Only choice is either runaway or towards him.
What about fighting inside the compound instead of sitting far away? Maybe that will work for you
@@nelsonelloi3770 nah snipers will still just camp not moving for 30 min.
@@BlackWolf9988 run opposite direction
They will have to give all the rifle sights working adjustable elevation for the rear sight but pistols don't have those.
This is exactly why they haven't added it before. They were going to launch the game with bullet drop, but decided that having to cover up enemies with your sights would be the unfun kind of realistic. In 2024 though, I think they're right that the long ammo meta due to easy 2 taps with irons from 100+ meters is way worse for the game than having to learn bullet drop
Converting the hitscan into a bullet drop seems like a totally unacceptable change to me, there are really many other ways to change the gameplay than by completely changing how the bullets work since the game came out. Imagine that from one day to the next the counter strike would have a bullet drop, it would be something very stupid, I hope the change does not take place although I doubt it and I will possibly end up leaving the game, it is a shame
Hitscan? I don’t think you know what that means
it is not hitscan. it is object based. but there was no drop only velocity.
hunt is not hit scan
@@notcraig255 yeah it is, just a delayed one, no projectiles at all on guns
Finally... with the crosshair update my other friends will be willing to try hunt. With that being said this is something I too have wanted since I started playing. THANK YOU!
I like these changes to necromancer, we stopped playing litterally because every lobby was just all solos
Hunt doesn't need bullet drop.
Shut Bush camper get good and fight in compounds for once.
I agree. Hunt doesn’t need bullet drop. So many simps for the dev team apparently

I love where Hunt is going to, love all the changes and the tryouts.
Holy, bullet drop and centered crosshair, this is gonna be interesting
I believe that even with these changes, some weapons should still have a limit of headshot range, though with a little more give to their current limit.
I think it will just be countered with huge bullet drop at big distances (compact ammo with "short" barrels like officer and/or carbine)
Yeah, now bullets have limited travel obviously.
Headshots with derringer across the whole map ?
Shotgun slugs NEED headshot range increase. Idk about the rest of them
im happy to see witness get put in to the trait roster, im not to sure about the solo necro changes that will be a wait and see sort of thing for me and finally bullet drop i suck at bullet drop in games so might struggle and will have to use shotguns alot but idk untill i see it
everything in this video is a really good change except bullet drop
I just got the game a couple days ago, and seeing that a centered cross hair will be coming soon is MAJOR for me, I honestly hate lowered cross hairs
Hey can u solve that bug when u start the game all settings reset on low quality?
even if you change it its stuck on low
put this into your Hunt:Showdown Launchoptions, its a fix until CryTek releases a hotfix itself
+sys_spec_object = 3 +sys_spec_texture = 3 +sys_spec_light = 3 +sys_spec_shadow = 3 +sys_spec_effects = 3 +sys_spec_postprocess = 3 +sys_spec_particle = 3
u force the game to start with the highest Settings, u can change it for yourself (1(low) 2(medium) 3(high) - just change the numbers

HUNT SHOWDOWN has created a loyal fan community over the years, and they're seriously considering how to alienate that fan base. In my opinion, Bullet Drop is another step in the wrong direction. For me it was a very bad decision.
center cross hair is HUGE best update yall have made for new players coming into hunt was a reason i stopped playing it and alot of my friends didnt like the lower cross hair im so excited to play with this update !!!!
Every developer should take note of this level of transparency..
i did not understand about Necro...if I play with teammates, and revive one of them....Necro is out of my traits ? meaning I can pick someone up only once, or how is it ?
For what I understood, u got it spot on
Correct, no more hiding and endlessly reviving your teammates
sounds like 1 time use
You are correct. It gets destroyed after use and it cannot be stacked, so you get one use only.
You get one long range revive and then you have to pick them up the good old fashioned way
I have never been a fan of bullet drop in any game. The way it works right now is perfectly fine. Bullet drop is going to do nothing but hurt pistol use even more. Convieniently left out long ammo rifles from the tease as well. Which likely means (due to what they are) the long ammo rifles are going to have the furthest drop off ranges and thus, once again, be further cemented into meta. I'm really excited to have compact ammo suck even more now.
Are you complaining that rifles are meta?
When have you not had a rifle AND a pistol in a match???
The idea of one shooting at any range is a dope buff to compact and medium ammo. But your right, if the bullet drop is severe it might do nothing but reinforce the current meta. Lets just hope for the best lol.
@@Pwnopolis I think he's specifically talking about long ammo rifles :)
@@sirminty8495 rifles are for ranged combat. That is the advantage you get for choosing them. Do you have some problem with reality?

Community gonna have fun when there's solo in your match bushing even harder with single revive, love it
Pretty much this. Solo revive was never the problem, it was the broken MMR. This change just makes it like it was before with solos camping 200 meters away.
you gonna love it too when you get downed and you can be necroed just once and 3 guns are looking your direction
now its a surprise mechanic get necroed in the middle of 3 people while your teammates push and help and you can win
but on the update its EZ wait for necro then ignore the dude he ll never be necroed again
dont worry you ll understand that the change is stupid when you ll play
Necro is one of the most fun mechanics in the game and you effectively erase it. There would've been 100 ways to nerf it in a better way than that: increasing the noise, shorter distance, make the rezzed body glow, reduce resiliance effect, etc. But it was no problem and shouldn't be touched!!!
Yup: 100%. Necro was unique to THIS GAME ONLY. Why would they effectively remove it?? There’s basically ZERO incentive to ever use the trait now.
I feel like with a higher burn rate, shorter chokes, and seemingly no incentive to be aggressive (lest you get downed and burned out quickly), some of these changes are going to result in people being more defensive and unwilling to fight. Some of these changes to prevent stalemates will ironically create stalemates as no one will want to put themselves at risk with the first move.
I hope for console PS5 and Xbox series X, we will have 120fps and FOV in the game with good graphics and visibility.
Very interesting stuff! Some actually courageous changes. I like especially the idea of the new necromancer and of bullet drop as a new balance mechanic (for example for long ammo and sniping). Not gonna lie: those things were unexpected (and wished for by me :D)
loving all the changes but I think speeding up the burn speed is a bad idea considering how hard it is to get chunks back when an event isn't active, it's gonna make those late game gunfights so boring because you won't wanna peek anything cuz you can get 1 shot
You’ll still have salveskin, so there’s that👌 as someone who’s play since the very beginning, trust me, the gameplay was much better without the overuse of someone constantly reviving and having to worry to body camp💯
Now if they’d just balance out ammo again so it’s not imperative to carry special over standard…
@@vip3r192 if you dont wanna then go extract. Otherwise, grasp the repercussions of losing health.
Or very scared hunters will just run away from the actual game to not lose their hunters and get their chunks back. Meaning, on average 20min matches, there will be a total of 4min gunfights (for the winning hunters) considering the overall changes.
I think we're still missing a key piece of info here; didnt the first video mention they were going to talk about more ways to recover your health chunks in a match?
@@Michael-jh4knindeed, he did say that. Altough, I don't know if I'll like all the changes. It turns the game even more away from the OG.
