Adding tomato or tomaro water (like chopped tomato soaked in water) is used in egg to reduce smell(in my term) liike when cooking normal omlet it smell such that someone get suffocation (or vomit) but due to tomato it reduce and omlet get more fluppy

Yip it is a Tomatoe. If you grate it. You get a smoother gravy. It cooks quicker and you exclude the seeds in the dish. Thats usually how 1 would cook a Butter Chicken tomatoe wise off course.
