    You pay taxes because of the infrastructure that you are using,roads,lights ,security etc…that doesn’t give you the right to be a citizen.it’s fair and square,Malaysian also pay taxes for all that except we had special priviliges like,cheap healthcare and education.PR or citizenship can’t be bought for something as simple as paying taxes.It’s priceless.

    • @harisadu8998
      @harisadu8998 ปีที่แล้ว +35

      LOL you're just looking for people to praise your country. If you want foreigners in your country, the foreigners also want to know whether they can plan a long term future there. That includes PR and maybe citizenship so these things matter when people are making decisions.

      do 10 year living and pay tax.

      and renounce your previous citizenship. or you so special dude play football for malaysian team or special political sanctuary for some people.

    So many countries don't have granted PR and citizenship. Canada doesn't have granted PR. You'll need ask for it and after some time, you can ask for citizenship. Doesn't mean you'll get it, even if you are married to a Canadian it's not granted. As for the salaries, depends on the cost of living. In Canada, salaries may be higher but cost of living is also high.

As Malaysia is in the centre and truly Asia and has everything these people disregards our imperfections. You also can find some villages of Koreans, Indonesians, Rohingya and also literally many from Japan and Singapore, westerners migrated or buy their second homes and properties here..
    Can you find any other country like this humble and harmony Malaysia 🇲🇾 ??

    • @endeliggnist5066

      "Harmony?" You have policies in place that directly benefit a specific ethnicity. You have an ethnostate that gives specific subsidies, and reserves specific spots in educational institutions and public office for the ruling majority ethnicity, whilst actively putting down the rest. What "harmony?"
      Just a bitter, racist nation built on the premise of ethnic superiority.

    Malaysia appreciates blue collared workers from other countries... They encouraged overstayers even.. But a professional expat.. A no no..the reason.. Maybe the government including government servants are worried that the expats will outsmart the locals. The funny thing is, we've already seen the imported blue collared workers are already ahead of the locals.. They run businesses (openly illegal) but this is not a problem.. 🤦🏼 It's a strange system and attitude of Malaysia gov/gov servants

    I am friend with many expats living in malaysia, their salary is more than what they earned in their country... and they live like a king. Well, if you are are here from the first world country doing the third world country job then it is a different story. We have a program in malaysia call malaysia is a second home... which you can buy a house for certain amount and make malaysia your second home. Not a problem at all. You just need money to be able to do that.

    A lot of Malaysians on here seem to have all kinds of justifications for why their country makes PR and citizenship hard. There is no real justification and the only conclusion to draw is Malaysians want their ethnic makeup to remain the same. It would be nice to be honest like the Japanese.

      There might be a conspiracy theory that neighbouring Singapore may be looking to do the same too. While its gov't has long stressed the importance of remaining open to talent, with almost 40% of its population not citizens, ~60% of the 40% are blue-collar migrant worker short-term Work Permit holders with some similarities with the kafala system e.g. usually no marriage or pregnancy. & I've heard that Malaysian & Chinese can apply for PR & citizenship the most easily e.g. within 1/2 yr for PR, while I've also heard of other nationalities yet to get PR even after working in Singapore for 10 yrs. (Chinese are the ethnic majority & also have the lowest birth rate) The probablilty of getting citizenship is probably higher though if you serve conscription, & if you are born locally to migrants (especially if they later manage to get citizenship too)

    the policy is crystal clear ...citizenship is a privilege, not a right. We do welcome foreigners to visit or work and pay tax in our country BUT that doesn't give you a right for a citizenship.

  • @roomeeartsy855
    @roomeeartsy855 ปีที่แล้ว

    your tax @ money can't buy everything. it is indeed should be a privilege not been given for free just because you pay the tax. Your tax been deduct because you are already used all the infrastructure and facilities that being given to any Malaysian citizen. Malaysia is not a big country, if citizenship being given so easy to foreigner how many expat will flock Malaysia? Of cause we will protect our citizen first. Even children born out of Malaysia as half Malaysian, will not get the citizenship easily .
    Moral: money can't buy everything... if you value Malaysia law by how many years you work here and pay tax, that's when you really not understand the aspirations of Malaysian. first... don't ask the country what they can give you, ask yourself what you can contribute for the country minus the tax (malaysian also pay the tax)

    Indeed. As a Malaysian, I agree with this lady. Foreigners or expatriates in Malaysia need to know this from the start if they really want to have a long term live in Malaysia. It’s not really a big issue here, unless one who easily felt insecure or needed rights wherever they go😊

    One of the main reasons it's difficult to obtain citizenship or PR in Malaysia due to lacks of self confidence to be part of Malaysia . Love Malaysia as Malaysians . talk thinking behave as Malaysian . Exactly the same scenario and criteria applied to be Singaporeans .

    Listen to her interview in its entirety, especially on the PR application. I have heard of cases where application was still stalled after 20 years. There must be some set of guidelines and laws to follow, and the authorities should stick to it instead of throwing up roadblocks as and when they like it. We need to be more conscious about our rights and the laws of the land.

    As u rightly pointed, its a privilege. Got to earn it and be part of the culture. Just imagine one someone freely come to your home asking for daughter’s hand, without spending time knowing her etc. be patient, you will definitely get it. And yeah, we don’t give dual citizenship. Either be Malaysian or remain with what u have 👌
