They have there own discord that you can join to get the mods I would of put a link in the desc and top comment but it feels weird to link a discord that doesn't belong to me
@@maudley there all made by the same folks, its all on 1 server and its all very neatly laid out with there mods for other games I'm not particularly fond of mods being tied to discord servers either but I get it for security from the nintendo ninjas and I respect their wishes not to post mirrors and such about
@@Kraftium you did mention a wider modding scene unless I misunderstood, with more creators. But that is a great point about decentralization being necessary.
@@maudley oh yeah theres more mods out there, luigi's mansion sweet home is one for example I saw them and briefly looked at them to go "wow thats cool" but didn't dig too deep into the specfics or how to download them what I said in the video was just to say that they do exist if you want more
I mean the 60hz patch for the EU version and my friend who's been streaming the vanilla EU version say otherwise Many games by the 6th gen let you pick 50 or 60hz depending on if you had a display that could do it but the earlier you go the less likely it becomes and luigis mansion being a launch game is one of them, you can patch it super easy tho
You review mods?! What's your opinion on retranslations? I'm asking because I made one for Super Mario RPG...about a month before the remake was announced.
I more focus on gameplay overhaul mods for this series, the idea was looking at games that have been "fixed" or "greatly improved" by fans to create a different better experience that could replace the original game for everyone except purists retranslations are cool but I don't really know what I could talk about in a full video for them unless I was super familar with the original japanese and english scripts
Oh I didn't realize you were that guy that made the Devil May Cry 2 video but like the mod to make it better and you talked about doing more videos on mods that fix bad games so this game Luigi's Mansion is obviously awesome so are you just going to start making videos about mods that make games better in general then not necessarily fix bad games?
Oh yeah the original idea for the series was just to be bad games and I was planning on calling it "black sheep" or something But as I was compiling a list of candidates I realised that there was no point in limiting myself to only bad games, when theres tons of examples for good games like this too, which is why I changed the name to hidden potential since it just implied squeezing more out of the original experience
@@Kraftium a game that I actually came across recently was Oni on the PS2 by Bungie and I think there's a mod called Oni Anniversary Edition that improves the game in many ways, maybe give that a look? I remember me and a few other people on your first Devil May Cry video commented some games for the list so don't forget you can always check there if you need ideas.
oh don't you worry I kept an eye out for those comments I got like 30 potential candidates not sure how indepth Oni Anniversary Edition is, or what it does but it is on the list
All of said mods are available in the creator's discord which feels weird to give out when I've frankly got nothing to do with them Also it takes 2 seconds to type the names into the google or youtube search bar
I saw one video with one mod/video edit where in the melee adventure mode when you fight Pokémon you span on a street and then enter tall grass and encounter a pichu, I need to see this fully fleshed out 😭🙏 PLEASE!
In my mind the first Luigi's Mansion game is the only entry of the series, because none of the other games come anywhere close to the original. All I ever wanted from the sequels was more Luigi's Mansion 1, but Nintendo kept changing it while completely not understanding what made the original game so enthralling. The change to multiple mansions with far less character and detail was the first sign that they didn't understand. Such a shame. LM is one of my favorite games on the gamecube and its atmosphere is still amazing.
I still think that 2 and 3 are good games in there own right (atleast from what i've played/seen) but they are definately there own thing and I get why some fans of the original don't vibe with them

Hey I may have blinked and missed it, but I don't think you actually shared where to start looking for these mods. Only recently was made aware of this modding community and still trying to find my way in.
They have there own discord that you can join to get the mods
I would of put a link in the desc and top comment but it feels weird to link a discord that doesn't belong to me
@@Kraftium I see. But don't you mention further mods from other groups? Am I going to have to join an increasing web of individual servers?
@@maudley there all made by the same folks, its all on 1 server and its all very neatly laid out with there mods for other games
I'm not particularly fond of mods being tied to discord servers either but I get it for security from the nintendo ninjas and I respect their wishes not to post mirrors and such about
@@Kraftium you did mention a wider modding scene unless I misunderstood, with more creators. But that is a great point about decentralization being necessary.
@@maudley oh yeah theres more mods out there, luigi's mansion sweet home is one for example
I saw them and briefly looked at them to go "wow thats cool" but didn't dig too deep into the specfics or how to download them
what I said in the video was just to say that they do exist if you want more
PAL isn't stuck on 50fps, it had the option to run at 50 fps but you could always go for 60 too
I mean the 60hz patch for the EU version and my friend who's been streaming the vanilla EU version say otherwise
Many games by the 6th gen let you pick 50 or 60hz depending on if you had a display that could do it but the earlier you go the less likely it becomes and luigis mansion being a launch game is one of them, you can patch it super easy tho
@Kraftium smh I'm sure they did release a version that has the 60hz option, called the "player's choice" version but I could be mistaken too
You review mods?! What's your opinion on retranslations? I'm asking because I made one for Super Mario RPG...about a month before the remake was announced.
I more focus on gameplay overhaul mods for this series, the idea was looking at games that have been "fixed" or "greatly improved" by fans to create a different better experience that could replace the original game for everyone except purists
retranslations are cool but I don't really know what I could talk about in a full video for them unless I was super familar with the original japanese and english scripts
@@Kraftium Ah, okay then. Sorry to bother you.
what was the game in the very beginning of the vid?
the next game I'm covering for these halloween videos I'm doing
Castlevania 64/legacy of darkness
Oh I didn't realize you were that guy that made the Devil May Cry 2 video but like the mod to make it better and you talked about doing more videos on mods that fix bad games so this game Luigi's Mansion is obviously awesome so are you just going to start making videos about mods that make games better in general then not necessarily fix bad games?
Oh yeah the original idea for the series was just to be bad games and I was planning on calling it "black sheep" or something
But as I was compiling a list of candidates I realised that there was no point in limiting myself to only bad games, when theres tons of examples for good games like this too, which is why I changed the name to hidden potential since it just implied squeezing more out of the original experience
@@Kraftium a game that I actually came across recently was Oni on the PS2 by Bungie and I think there's a mod called Oni Anniversary Edition that improves the game in many ways, maybe give that a look? I remember me and a few other people on your first Devil May Cry video commented some games for the list so don't forget you can always check there if you need ideas.
oh don't you worry I kept an eye out for those comments I got like 30 potential candidates
not sure how indepth Oni Anniversary Edition is, or what it does but it is on the list
All these recommendations but no links to the mods in the description.
All of said mods are available in the creator's discord which feels weird to give out when I've frankly got nothing to do with them
Also it takes 2 seconds to type the names into the google or youtube search bar
I tried to make a mod once but the modding community was downright awful for literally no reason :/
Du this for smash Bros melee adventure mode PLEASE🙏😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
PLEASE!
PLEASE I BEG YOU😭🙏❤️
I saw one video with one mod/video edit where in the melee adventure mode when you fight Pokémon you span on a street and then enter tall grass and encounter a pichu, I need to see this fully fleshed out 😭🙏 PLEASE!

I still think that 2 and 3 are good games in there own right (atleast from what i've played/seen) but they are definately there own thing and I get why some fans of the original don't vibe with them
the first luigi's mansion, is the only good one of the "series"...
from what I've played of 2 and seen of 3, it is obvious they're pretty different games to the first
that being said I've been liking 2 for what it is so far
you should talk faster i had to play the vid on 1.25x speed for you to sound normal
Just watch me at 1.25x speed then?
