I actually picked up the Japanese AC game at a small convention for $2-ish. It's missing the memory card and the cover is a little beat up. But hey, it was acheap and it is AC. Worth it
There was a cheat or something to unlock all the NES games for the GameCube version. Something they should have never got rid of. One of the best parts and rewards of the game.

I have been playing Animal Crossing almost every day since I first started playing it on the Gamecube and it has become one of my favorite video game series.
I love the Animal Crossing series too -- New Leaf is the game I spent the most time in on my 3DS. Love the charadesign of most characters; just wish it were possible to use one of them as an avatar instead of the Villager. I bought the AC Amiibo Festival for $30 at Best Buy. It was $80 CAD when it came out, LMAO! Today I bought Nook, Lottie and Mabel for $5 Canadian each.
If Kelsey has a problem for having spent a few hundred hours playing Animal Crossing, what do I have with Don't Starve? It's one of my favorite games of all time and I have over 8000 hours into it. And that's what I spent on the pc version, not counting the console version. But It really helped with my mental health during some hard times, even before the pandemic hit. I have made a promise to myself I would buy Don't Starve on every gaming platform I own. Currently I have: PC, PS3, PS4, PS Vita and Android.
I wish MJ & Kelsey should talk about Pikmin, I feel like no one really talks about it much unless it's about news that Pikmin 4 is a thing or how much Pikmin 3DS is awesome and/or sucks. I've seen it grow in more popularity via multiple lets players play it, but I feel like Nintendo only really cares for it for pretty graphics and for launch titles. I mean Pikmin merchandise is scarce and for awhile, and still, the games are hard to come by. Maybe they can give there experience with Pikmin or there feelings for the game, it's a real great trilogy (soon to be quadrilogy) of games and if you haven't played it, I'd recommend it!
I love Animal Crossing! I have played all of the games, outside Japan. I'll say my least favorite was City Folk, but because I felt they took to many steps backwards in that game and I hated the grass wear! New Leaf is my current favorite, but we'll see when the next one would be like! I have a bunch of the eReader cards also, just not the entire collection though...I also have the amiibo.
New Leaf is definitely the best iteration but I have to say that being able to play the NES 8-bit Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda on the Gamecube version of Animal Crossing is pretty sweet. I wish there was a function in New Leaf that would allow me to play Virtual Console games on my 3DS system.
(I'm pretty much a newbie to this series) So a few years back, I saw the commercial for the Animal Crossing: New Leaf game, and I was like "looks like a cute game" And I wanted the game, but my mom didn't let me get get because it was too expensive (before there were any pre-owned AC:NL games) so maybe a few months later (maybe a year) we saw a cheaper price (pre-owned) and I got it, and after that, I was OBSESSED with the game! What do you feel Capcom needs to do to make it popular again? Certainly Megaman 2, Megaman X1 and Megaman Legends were high points. Personally I would like to see a new Legends game with more adventures and dungeon/ruins looting.

She got it wrong, + was turned into Animal Crossing here, e+ is the re-localized port of Animal Crossing into Japan.
I have been playing Animal Crossing almost every day since I first started playing it on the Gamecube and it has become one of my favorite video game series.
I love the Animal Crossing series too -- New Leaf is the game I spent the most time in on my 3DS. Love the charadesign of most characters; just wish it were possible to use one of them as an avatar instead of the Villager. I'm surprised that Kelsey doesn't have any AC calendar (or at least mention it) -- I have the current year one in my office and it looks nice. :)

I never knew what he big deal about Animal Crossing was. Then I bought New Leaf simply just to see what the deal was about. And 4 years later, I still play it.
You know you've messed up when a die hard Animal Crossing fan looks at a game in the franchise and says "I don't recommend it -- at all."
The baseplates are sold seperately in Europe aswell...

Kelsey actually has it backwards. Animal Forest on the N64 was ported in Japan to GCN as Animal Forest +, which is the Gamecube game she showed. That was localized to America with added e-Reader support. Then that game(Animal Crossing) was relocalized to Japan, with even more additions as Animal Forest e+ or Doubutsu no mori e+.
So it appears as if she is missing a game :P

Speaking of SNES I just picked up a pristine copy of "LOZ: A link to the past" and am legit loving it. I never was a Zelda kid growing up in the 90s, even when Ocarina dropped for N64, but I've always seen people rave over the series so I figured I'd give it a shot and I'm blown away! I mean maybe I just love retro games in general but it's actually a really fun game in modern times and a nice break from Witcher 3, great old titles humble you a lot as a gamer!!

I don't know and I really don't care. I just reacted to the fact that they did a hole video about one single game and didn't even talk about what kind of game it is, and what you do in the game.

I bought the AC Amiibo Festival for $30 at Best Buy. It was $80 CAD when it came out, LMAO! Today I bought Nook, Lottie and Mabel for $5 Canadian each.
If Kelsey has a problem for having spent a few hundred hours playing Animal Crossing, what do I have with Don't Starve? It's one of my favorite games of all time and I have over 8000 hours into it. And that's what I spent on the pc version, not counting the console version. But It really helped with my mental health during some hard times, even before the pandemic hit. I have made a promise to myself I would buy Don't Starve on every gaming platform I own. Currently I have: PC, PS3, PS4, PS Vita and Android.
I wish MJ & Kelsey should talk about Pikmin, I feel like no one really talks about it much unless it's about news that Pikmin 4 is a thing or how much Pikmin 3DS is awesome and/or sucks. I've seen it grow in more popularity via multiple lets players play it, but I feel like Nintendo only really cares for it for pretty graphics and for launch titles. I mean Pikmin merchandise is scarce and for awhile, and still, the games are hard to come by. Maybe they can give there experience with Pikmin or there feelings for the game, it's a real great trilogy (soon to be quadrilogy) of games and if you haven't played it, I'd recommend it!
I love Animal Crossing! I have played all of the games, outside Japan. I'll say my least favorite was City Folk, but because I felt they took to many steps backwards in that game and I hated the grass wear!
New Leaf is my current favorite, but we'll see when the next one would be like!

New Leaf is definitely the best iteration but I have to say that being able to play the NES 8-bit Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda on the Gamecube version of Animal Crossing is pretty sweet. I wish there was a function in New Leaf that would allow me to play Virtual Console games on my 3DS system.
(I'm pretty much a newbie to this series) So a few years back, I saw the commercial for the Animal Crossing: New Leaf game, and I was like "looks like a cute game" And I wanted the game, but my mom didn't let me get get because it was too expensive (before there were any pre-owned AC:NL games) so maybe a few months later (maybe a year) we saw a cheaper price (pre-owned) and I got it, and after that, I was OBSESSED with the game! I'm actually considering on buying AC:WW x3
Metal Jesus are you a Megaman fan? I've played and beaten every game in the classic and X series except for the online 9 and 10, and also played the racing game in the Megaman X collection for PS2. What do you feel Capcom needs to do to make it popular again? Certainly Megaman 2, Megaman X1 and Megaman Legends were high points. Personally I would like to see a new Legends game with more adventures and dungeon/ruins looting.
