Gary Cochrane I put Bar riders on ( Rox Risers ) if you buy one join the Aussie Benellli Riders group they are VERY helpful. Only 3 faults that I know of on this bike are 1. Side stand bolt very weak prone to breaking 2. A bolt in the Alternate can come lose ( make you it’s Locktighted ) 3. The dash can play up ( mine went ) but there is a guy that has fixed the problems with them apparently ? on the Fb Benellli page . Get all them done and you should have trouble free riding “ but Italian bikes are a passion just remember that also they are quite heavy on fuel as well .
Great review Paul. I’m looking for a replacement sports tourer for my Aprilia sl1000, and have been considering a Tre vs. A V twin Tuono R. The Benelli is set up for touring whereas I’d need to fit a decent screen to the Tuono. My head is saying go for the Aprilia because the Falco I have can be a donor if I need spares but my heart says the Benelli because they are stupidly cheap because there are very few dealers, there are concerns over reliability and economy but wtf everyone who’s reviewed it has commented on the amazing handling and engine. Maybe that’s why economy tails off.
I do love the Handling , I was at the snowy ride about 6 weeks ago , ( lots of twisty roads ) The Benelli out performed an Aprillia Tuono , KTM 1290 Duke , Yamaha FZ 1000, and lots of others ( but they were the only three that came close to the Trek in the Handling department.
Hi Paul your benelli looks great ! i've also got a tre 1130 k and its got to be one of the most engaging bikes i've owned to date !!.. and reliable too ive covered just over 9000 miles on her so far including a trip to italy and back to the uk without any issues. just make sure you check all the engine mods have been done .. get on the benelli forum for some great tips . enjoy mate !
