Thanks for the videos. I'm considering one of these to complement my DR650 (which I will never sell). I'm in western Canada, and want something more longer distance touring oriented, but I still need some fair gravel capability. It sounds like the V85TT may be a good option.

I removed the factory heated grips on my 2025 V85TT TRAVEL. Awful. I replaced them with Oxford PRO TOURING that are way, way, way better. While I was at it, I modded the throttle spring to have less return spring pressure. Check around for the You-Tubes on that. I also put the Oxford heated grips on my 2024 V7 STONE 850 Model 10. Same great performance. Oddly, the V85TT's seat heater can make pancakes out of your buns! WAY hot. I seldom go above "1". Weird the seat heater is so good and the heated grips are awful. They were awful on my V100S, too. Same design. Nothing till "3". Still, if it is 30 F you'll be squeezing them like you're on a flag pole on the top of the Empire state building trying to extract heat out of them. I experienced no heat issues on my 2025 V85TT compared to the V100S I traded (too hyper and "sport" bent for me). The V100S is REALLY hot above 80 F. Not so the V7 or ther V85TT. May be a relative thing. I really like the V85TT's ride, seated position and smooth accessible power. 80 HP is PLENTY for realistic stuff. I modded the bike at purchase to be a "strada" with cast wheels (lighter), no ugly bash plate, added the inner fender and a GIVI touring fairing to get stuff over my head.

Really good informative video! Thx for sharing the mods to your bike, some really good ideas there! I have the 2021(also E5 spec) and I just love it - 20K miles now! Thinking of getting the VBoost - do I need to do the "decat" mod to utilize Vboost?

It’s the 2 Gen 2021 ( 100th anniversary model ) 1th Gen 19-20 , ( had 3 ride modes and tubed rims E4 ) Second Gen 21-23 ( has 4 ride modes and tubeless rims E5 ) and Third Gen 24 onwards. ( they have put a pre- load adjustment on rear shock- except basic model , variable valve timing and sorted the screen out, plus different TFT and switch gear a bit different and E5+ ( basically I have sorted ALL the issues bike had with rear shock, screen and heat for Cat - plus other minor stuff

Great video. I love the look of the V85. I almost got one in 2023, but a army green Pan America caught my eye and I love it, handles fantastic, and I use it as a commuter in Melbourne and touring the country roads.

Good review, We use Michelin Anakees last tyre lasted 10,000 miles and i reckon it wasn't done, could probably pushed it another 2k miles and still be legal, I changed the fronts at the same time but I reckon they could do 20k miles if pushed, Very little off road but some technical stuff and they held up well.

I mounted the Givi engine guard on mine, very good quality, and probably the most protection of any of them. The only downside is I have to back off a few bolts when doing a valve adjustment, which adds a little time to the task. Still a long way from the 3 days, and a thousand nutsb,bolts and push pins( which always break) I had to endure with my Ducati. Another good video sir.

My wife and I have a pair or V85's , really enjoyed them, 20K miles since we bought them in 22, biggest issue was the dealer, since I started maintaining them they have been great. One PITA for me is mines came with the tyre pressure monitor, always a hassle changing the tyres, in my opinion an added extra which give me more stress than not! I need to figure out how to get rid of it..

The mesh seat covers are awesome in hot weather. I bought mine for like 7$ here in Turkey. If you remove the rider back rest and re-install after installing the mesh, it looks much better. I did mine like that after seeing in a post.

Hi, I bought a 2022 travel around 2 months ago, after 12 years of not owning / riding a motorcycle. It has been a little over 3000km since I bought. I saw in the video that you raised the windshield. It is not touching the head lights. Can you make a video showing how? It would be really appreciated. Mine has a original touring screen, but not enough. I also installed a wind deflector, it works fine, but I would like to see how you raised the windshield.

Why have you replaced the superdual with the crf? I'm in the market now for a superdual, are they reliable enough? It'll be the first in my country, since there a dealer now.

USB can be fitted under the seat for a second port. I run cord to panniers to charge stuff.

I’m actually up North in Australia for our winter ( as it’s more tropical North - in the southern hemisphere. So I only have my Honda CRF 300 Rally up here . BUT while I’m away am getting a rear shock developed by “ IKON suspension “ in Australia. I know the owner Geoff and have brought plenty of suspensions upgrades off him in the past . Will let you know the outcome 👍

I've got a bit over 20,000 km on my v85tt. Can't ride it at the moment 'cause just had my right knee replaced. Love this bike, it's been perfect for the rough roads of DownEast Maine and Canada. I agree the rear shocks needs an upgrade. Curious what you replace yours with. Safe travels.

Hello! I'll soon have driven 10,000 km in 12 weeks with my V85TT. Italy, Tuscany and Sardinia as well as in the Alps. The Guzzi is extremely reliable and is simply unbelievable fun. Italian motorcycles always have the reputation of not being particularly reliable. But those days are long gone. Here in Europe, two motorcycle magazines (Italy and Germany) have driven the V85TT over 50,000 km in an endurance test without any problems. I hope you have lots of fun with your Guzzi. When you did the exhaust did you have to do and ecm reflashing or anything ?
