PACER TEST GUIDE
Bro tell me why I like this test...
I always listen to this soundtrack to pump me up beforehand and also listen to the music to know whether what level is coming up. I mean all the songs on this test is so good, except if its like early when like 11 or something. I've always wanted to tell you my experience on the pacer test to here's a chart to show you what usually happens.
1-5: I don't know how anyone could quit unless ur either one of those girls who just doesn't want to do it or you just need to workout.
5-15: Easy. Usually u only feel it a little and only the non athletic kids get out by now or the kids who just r couch potatoes lol.
15-25: Not hard but only a little exhaustion, I mean ur legs can start to hurt a little, metal taste in ur mouth (Doesn't happen to me but probably because u drank no water), Or the side stitch (If u get this, it sucks because if your aiming for high placement you have to suck it up, half the time though its because I drank the stupid metal water at my school like :--/).
25-40: Usually this is where most kids quit, it sucks tho because if ur a girl like me and nobody wants to run it u have no one to compete with.. like XD.
40-60: It's either the cross country kids left, or the athletic jocks. Either way, if u got these people, u are lucky bc u have someone to compete with.
60-80: Usually I quit around here, I mean maybe around 70's or so but that was last year in 6th grade which was trash but u know what I hope I get atleast to 100 this year and break a school record.
Now time for the fun part, tips and tricks!
What I have heard and what will always be in my mind at all times are these quotes,
"It's 80% mental, and only 20% physical"
"You have to push through the mental wall and barrier"
"Do it for ur crush.."
Yes I did make the last one up but still, if you want to get past a certain amount, imagine me telling you how disappointed I would be in you if you didn't make your goal. I heard that from @TheAthleteSpecial
TIPS:
1) Make sure you practice before you actually start the Pacer Test, I'm talking running actually at ur house.
2) STRETCHHH!!!!! I can't stress this enough, if you don't stretch, you will be tight, especially if you ran beforehand.
3) Drink water, but NOT way to much, over doing it can be bad, I would recommend 17 ounces 2 hours before you run.
4) Do not over do it. I know if your aiming for 100 when your crush is in your gym class after last time you got 20, it just doesn't work like that, unless you got seriously fit in around 2 months. Trust me, you don't want to end up passing out or having an asthma attack because you overdid it. It gets bad especially at school, it happened to my sister because she was really dehydrated, its bad.
5) KEEP Running, I believe in you!! Seriously though, don't sprint right away, even if your the last one coming in, its called Pacer for a reason. I would aim to try and turn on the beeps instead of stopping.
6) Turn around in a circular motion, don't touch the line with your hand, keep your running form.
7) Make sure your running form is CORRECT. Head up, don't look to the sides and especially not the back, it slows you down. Make sure your posture is even and your arms and legs aren't swinging all over the place.
Alright, if anyone actually reads this, I will add more tips if you wan't me too, and I will tell you what I get on the Pacer Test once we have it again. Also if you use these tips tell me if it helps!
BRO TYSM I am doing this today and this is gonna help loads! I’ll edit this later and tell you what I get.
Hey guys, just an older-ish person here to give y’all a tip.
Enjoy it. I ran my last pacer a few months ago (I’m 16, a sophomore/10th grader), and I (admittedly) get nostalgic listening to this version (as the county started using a few different songs). Think about where you’ll be in 5 years. 3 years, hell, even in a single 1. People like me look back on the time that you’re currently looking for INCREDIBLY fondly, and not to be much of a downer, keep in mind that you will never be as young as you were just a moment ago.
Enjoy it. Some would kill to be where you are now. You may even feel the same in the future.
Quick edit/addition: BE PRESENT. Genuinely the easiest way to enjoy life more. GO OUTSIDE. Learning to be present by simple talking a walk and ONLY thinking about he nature around you is a good place to start.
Even though I run cross country I’m very much distance and not a lot of speed. I for 35 last time but that’s because my period started and the first three days are death for me. The mile is my stronsuit. I’ve never heard of the 80% mental 20% physical so I will definitely use that. Competition does help a lot as well, and the gym class cheering me on. Thank you!!
These are all good tips, but I'm pretty sure at least half the time kids walk into the gym and the coach says everyone gets ready we're doing the pacer today.
Everyone getting to 115 and then I'm over here falling on the ground at 7
bro. it's just a joke. no one asked you to be a depressing dirt-bag. it was probably karma you're overweight.
Ravis Amissi Nope im actually really skinny
I was talking to MAN. but seriously tho, how do people even get to 30?!?!?!?!?!?!???????
I wrote that mostly as a joke. I'm not actually that much of an ass. The only actually real part of that was where I can do better than him.
I got 6
Imagine this:
You’re running, traumatized by all of your comrades dropping to the floor perishing. You keep moving, you think, “This is for my Fallen Brothers.” Then you hear the ping, “15” it says.
lmao I'm dying.
15 😂
I deadass felt like I was in a war movie:
- The world around slowed down
- The only other sound aside from the pacer audio, was the sound of your classmates’ bodies hitting the ground, collapsing from exhaustion
- Tears blurring your vision
- The putrid stench of vomit
- Hearing what’s of left the survivors screaming your name to keep running
I will never forget the fitness gram tests........I am still recovering and finally moving on with my life.

They say that if you focus on the music you can almost convince yourself that you don’t hear the screams
Or the sound of kids running as they try to survive the once a week torture.
@Zarela Patricia My middle school had gym class 5 days a week, but the pacer test was every Friday.
HAHAHHAHAHHAHHAAHAHHAHAH OK ILL TRY
@@lovelydolltime8006 Before covid in 8th grade, I had gym *E V E R Y D A Y*
@@JasontheFolf Same. For me, at least 8th grade (prior to the announcement in March) didn't have the pacer test, but 7th graders at my school had to do it every Friday until that point.
This was pure torture from ages 9-16 but those beats are sick 🔥🔥
I swear while doing this could feel my throat bleeding.
Sucks to suck
My teeth starts to hurt and I start to get light headed
I agree bro
Ikr it's the worst feeling ever
Same
Same here man! When I do it I legit feel like I have a stone in my throat. The last time I did it I stopped at 20.And the terrible music playing doesn’t help.
as i listen to the pacer test, i am once again nine years old. my mouth is full of the taste of blood. my limbs are sluggish, uncooperative. my chest is burning. "will I fail again?" I wonder? and i cannot make it to the line. Coach Kunkle shakes his head. filled with a mixture of relief and shame, I am the first to finish. i must walk around the gym in circles. they all look at me. they all think of the time i cost their side the win in dodgeball because I could not throw, the times i was so slow I clogged the running line. they hate me. i know it. the devil whispers in my ear. ph'nglui mglw'nafh cthulhu r'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn. the day of the lord will come like a thief in the night.
the pacer test's cheerful beat plays on. the children's faces are red, determined.
for the 4th time I stop to "tie my shoelace", wanting only to stop, to be still, looking longingly at the water fountain i know i cannot use until the test is over.
i am young and I am weak.
all is shame and thirst and the taste of metal like glue on my tongue.
another lap. life is a series of pointless and repetitive exercises.
red flesh, and thirst, and metal. my body is weak. i am young but someday i will die. it will be sooner than i think.
life is a multi-stage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues.
god has come to reap the sinners.
I like Muffins ._________.
After this terrible multistage aerobic capacity test ends, until the spring of my life decides to come again. I am, still, ashamed of myself, ashamed of why I could have done better but I did not. Is it you who's different? Or is it really me who's different? I hate every moment the sound of "beep" passing by my ear. It's the sound of devil, the sound of guilt that I don't want to live within any longer. I'm still trying to erase it out of my mind, but my head won't allow, because who knows...I may belong to devil.
Damn
April Jones thanks for the essay
Jesus fucking Christ.
bro I came here for my school but this is making me laugh so hard knowing that this is also a meme😭
Come on TH-cam why tf are there ads on a damn pacer test
I had the test a couple weeks ago and the 1st group (I wasn’t in it) got an ad break and we called it unfair
This is the first time I have discovered a meme the day it gained popularity. I have witnessed the birth of a meme, and it is beautiful.
no it was born yesterday
Corvu55 Well, it's 12:30 AM where I am, so that comment was made yesterday.

This comment made my day lmao
Sam The Destroyer lmao
@23mohamm it happens after 6 laps.
I remember I was in class and the high school was outside doing the pacer test and you could hear the checkpoints it was so loud it sounded like something dystopian 😂
Gets my heart pumping every time
I remember that there would always be at least one kid who would purposely stop at 69.
I purposely stopped at 420
The end is 247.
No, it really is. There's a full version.
666
I stopped at 195
I bet most gym teachers couldn't complete one lap.
But their dead grandma could complete more than any of us.
My gym teachers is so fat i bet he cant even do a push up
Why are gym teachers ALWAYS SO FAT?!
@@flashy5931 well crap mine isn't (yes I'm flexing my gym/p.e. teacher) he is fFIT

trauma for middle schoolers
(how do you do, fellow americans?)
I didn’t make it past the third stage when I did this in school
I don't know why I searched this up at 12 in the morning, but I'm not disappointed
You know I don’t think I have ever realized there was music because all I could focus on was my lungs failing
me neither
Wow I just did this and only now after reading your comment realized there was music
I'm waiting to r woosh someone
I did because I always failed at 12 or 20 and had plenty of time to stabilize my breathing and hear it , also because Im a fat ass and has asthma
Same here. It was so annoying that they expected guys to run like 5 or 10 laps more than girls. I wish I could have just jogged across but they wanted sprinting. These songs are really cool though, it's nice to just listen to them without the anxiety behind having to continue sprinting like it was a life or death situation.
I don’t know what’s crazier: the fact this video ended or the fact that I listened to a man count up for 15 minutes straight
Fax
I did this in discord with my friends😂
Imposible 😂

When it's over, it feels like a flash, but at the beginning it feels like an eternity.
