Morse code is not that hard to learn. I learned the alphabet in 2 days. What truly is the hard part is being able to hear morse code and understand it. I have yet to be able to listen to a sentence in morse code without having to pause every couple letters and process what I have heard.
Practice every day for 20 minutes. You need to be listening at 15 WPM minimum. After a month it will start to sink in. Try the koch method. Learning the way in this video is actually a bad way to learn because it will slow you down and keep you from getting faster. You need to internalise the rhythm of each letter, not memorise clunky long slow phrases that you’ll have to unlearn later.

In Czech, we have many words that are made of long and short syllables (long as in need, short as in met), so we have the whole morse code in easy remembered words.
When the word has a dash above (or circle above u) áéíóúůý, the syllable is long, everything else is short.
A • − "met-need" "A-kát"
B - • • • "seed-met-set-red" "Blýs-ka-vi-ce"

the biggest problem i ever had with morse code back in my ham radio days is the senders tend to rush the gap between letters and words. you can still figure out what they were saying but some times it was a mess. Learned from the Gordon west WB6NOA tapes. after that you could record a few tapes of your own, yeah tapes worth of yourself sending and rotate the tapes so you dont really remeber what you sent. I would take a newpaper and just send away. And since you can usually send faster than recieve you get better real quick. When you write it, classic spaces are between letters, slashes are between words and optionaly double dashes between sentences, if you use basic morse code. When you use punctuation in morse code, then sentences are spaced by punctuation.

It's a shame that the co inventor of Morse code, probably the person who put the most effort into developing the Morse code never gets a mention. His name was Alfred Vail who now rests in a paupers grave. The Morse code we use today is mostly the invention of Alfred Vail and Fredrich Clemens Gherke. The code that Samuel Morse originally invented was almost unusable and was quickly dropped, but he was the Man with the money and his name is therefore remembered. @@justkidding7264 why did you spell "what's" like "what、s". Also vail code isn't a thing, just the last name of Alfred Vail, the co inventor who made majority of the code. He was just saying it sounded cooler not that it is a thing.
Surprised you didn’t mentioned “SOS” since it is a simple repeatable code that can be sent on loop (. . . - - - . . .) notify any possible ship that catches the distress signal.
Superfun fact: The melody in the famous title music of the movie „Mission Impossible“ has repeats the rhythm „Long Long Short Short“, which is Morse code for MI.
