That sucks guys, blame america, they have been active trying to disrupt families for decades, for this reason! They dont want fathers telling their kids that our corrupt government has been doing this same garbage for decades
I understand nothing 🤥 see a mechanic is my dream job n I love cars n driving but this video was highly confusing, I don’t think I’ll ever make it to being a mechanic, certain car things are just too complicated
Tried to remove my Infiniti G37S brakes to check for squeak, ended up with air in the system. Thanks to you and $10 on a one man brake bleeding kit and my problem is gone.
This comment is old, but if you’re still active, can you explain to me how you are supposed to tighten bleeder spout while pressing on the brake pedal. I cant be in two places at once you know😂.
Hi Chris, Chris Webb here. At 2:32 in the video you cut away and say "make sure the end of your hose in submerged in fluid". I must be missing something because I do not understand at this point and the video shows fluid in the line when it cuts back to the bleeder hose?
first, orilley's been good to me. i wonder if you've ever happened upon a case of a system having been bled many times and most every compoment swapped in the process yet the pedal frequently bottoms down on the floor or needs constant pumping up? best my mechanic can guess is a bubble somewhere in the system. any thoughts? totally analog system 76 chev parts, dual MC. mopar discs and drums in the back
I dont get how you can do this with only one person???? it says only open the bleeder bolt on the wheel when the brake pedal is fully depressed from inside the car, how can one person do that???
U have to get a pipe, stick etc to put one end on brake pedal and the other end in front of seat and move seat forward until brake pedal is pressed. Or atleast thats how I did it anyway
my car battery went dead while bleeding my brakes. After i finished the brake flush, i jumped the engine but then immediately the check engine light turned on. I went to autozone and code ABS malfunction and traction off showed up on dash. not knowing what to do, i removed the battery, check engine light turned off for now but for how long?
One person can't push the brake pedal. I noticed the brakes bleed with just gravity. Drip drip drip drip...... I wish I knew if the master cylinder was bad. It only has a few miles on it so I bench bled it again. A screw driver and a vice and all the strength I have. Mine has a very powerful spring inside. The only thing I haven't done is the front wheels again. I do have an ABS on a older Tahoe. I might take it off because it makes bleeding so much of a guessing game.
You contradicted yourself. You said never lift the pedal with the bleeder open. Then you said to pump the brakes multiple times if you're using a one man tool like you're using in this video. If the hose is down inside the fluid in the bottle then the air will push out and fluid will suck back in which is fine. That's what you want.
Totally unnecessary. Open all bleeder screws, walk away. Come back, they’ll all be dripping. Tighten bleeder screws. Get in hit brake pedal a few times. Drive away. Simple
How the hell can one person do it you said to push the brake pedal down and hold it one person can't do that and then get out and close the valve something's wrong with your instructions I want that pot of gold too.
The way I did for one person is to gently pump the pedal several times while the bleed valve is open and check. If there is still air in the tube. Repeat. That's the reason for the fluid soaking the end of the bleeding tube. The goal is to prevent air from being pushed back into the braking system by siphoning.

It's all good. I have a dad but he never showed me how to do anything. Just learned it all myself.

@@iancampion6979 I used a board between the seat and brake pedal and pushed the seat forward.
This video was very helpful for my 2005 Ford Freestyle. The spark plug wire puller was perfect for the parking brake spring. Thanks again
Just give me your pot of gold
😂🤣🤣💀
I'm dead 😂😂
Well now I'll never be able to take him seriously
you are a good teacher. thanks. am I wrong thinking brakes should be bled when pads are replaced?
Yea

The tube in the bottle must be submerged in fluid so air can’t be sucked back into the caliper
Thanks O'REILLY! Vehicle happy!
Do you have to bleed all the brakes if you instead bench bleed the master cylinder?

Maybe they bled em wrong?
Jesus loves you all
Great job 👏🏽
I love that one-man bleeder with the magnet! Where can I get one?
You can find one in-store or online!
One Person Bleeder Tool: bit.ly/2XHgDTc
it didn't work for me
Hi chris question i have a 2007 honda pilot when bleeding does the master cylinder cap should be open or closed?
This is what I need to know too!!
I dont get how you can do this with only one person???? it says only open the bleeder bolt on the wheel when the brake pedal is fully depressed from inside the car, how can one person do that???
The video uses a two-person method using a "one-person tool," so I see where the confusion is. ...not your fault.
U have to get a pipe, stick etc to put one end on brake pedal and the other end in front of seat and move seat forward until brake pedal is pressed. Or atleast thats how I did it anyway

That is usually due to a speed wheel sensor or wire to the sensor.
I have replaced the manifold the part underneath the manifold was cracked I replaced it and flush the brake lines and I still have no brakes help

How much should this cost?
Do you bleed the brakes with the car on or off?
Off.
That seems a lot simpler than the last time I looked up how to do this.
Wait do pump the brake when the bleeder is open or close that wasn’t clear
When it's closed
Brake fluid is not corrosive it will take paint off it is flammable
Isnt taking paint off the definition of corrosive?
This appears to be about how to replace your brake fluid. Not specifically how to bleed your brakes. Am I right?
If you took the 5 minutes to watch it fully. You would see that you are wrong.
thorough information
I love Chris
Hey I pumped the brakes with the bleeder valve open
what happened?
@@someone123421 doesnt built up pressure
does the car has to be off?
I let air in a brake caliper port that popped out while changing brakes. So do I no have to take off every tire and bleed the brakes?
did you , i have the same problem
Sorry but it said by yourself then along comes a friend!
Very misleading vid.
Step one: make a friend
Not Necessary ..Unless Caliper Fail !
Thank you ☺️
Why it won't stop bleeding
Do I need a computer for my 1970 vw bug?
Well of course you do but you might have to travel Back to the Future to retrieve it
Of course you do, and don’t forget to check your coolant regularly, they’re bad for leaking all the coolant out
Thank u for the video
I have nothing but air in my brakes omg I have to bleed my lines

Tire pressure monitor system
Can I hardwire the ABS to bleed it?
Yes. You can unplug it and ad 12 volts to the correct pin to activate pump. There are tube vids and info about this online
Good info, but next time stop the muzak, PLEASE
