@@RetireandGo These days winter just began and it's really cold, -4 celsius in Hamburg, Germany. Better visiting Europe during summer, between June and August. South of Europe is warmer. And because we still have the Russian - Ukraine war, energy prices for heating went up since then 8 times. So it's smart to stay at warm places like Hua Hin, during winter. Next week I'm starting therefore a Thailand island hopping trip, because it saves the high heating and electricity costs. It's a little bit of geoarbitrage.

Ok ,,, I can tell you the beaches are not that great , the colour of the water is brownish 🥴and during the months of Jan- April, air pollution is very bad , you won’t be seeing any blue sky just pm 2.5 , high range ,due to the burning of agricultural waste from surrounding countries and thailand . Hua Hin is positioned high up in the gulf of Thailand , close to Bangkok ,you will never get that blue ocean colour . The further south of Thailand you go, the better the air and beaches get .
@RetireandGo I just wish someone would do a video to help disabled people in wheelchairs (like me) understand what can be done and what retired life would be like. Thanks for replying
What are you talking about??? The locals don't call it WAH-HEEN. Perhaps the expats pronounce it like that! I'm a Thai-American who is fluent in Thai and visits Thailand once a year and none of my Thai friends and relatives pronounce it WAH-HEEN. I was just there last month in OCTOBER 2024. It's correctly pronounced HOOWA-HIIN which translates to HEAD STONE. It's named after the rocky mountain at the end of Hua Hin's coastline.
@@kevinp8108 thank you for your input! There is no need to yell and be uncivil over your opinion. I’m in Hua Hin… the locals say wa heen. The expats say hooah hin. If we disagree fine. Let’s be civil about it :-)
Your wrong it's actually pronounced the other way round whoa hin not hwar hin the locals say it wrong as used to farang saying it wrong so go along with flow same as a lot of words nowadays
@RetireandGo it's probably down also to misinterpreting as said quickly also there's obviously a little difference depending we're at in Thailand accents same anywhere else

Thank God Trump won or you might have to gone back to work
Did you meet Jonny from Jonny There is Something Happening YT channel?
I have not but I do know the channel :-)
Can someone who is only collecting Social Security afford to live in Thailand?
If your SS is 2k to 3k and you live like a upper class local then yes!!
Collecting SS and some small saving, you will be fine. If you’re hanging around with a bar girls, then you will need boat loads of money.
Go visit first.
You can’t really know until you go ( Boots 👢 on the ground). Big life decision, visit for a month first, meet expats there.
@@gregdurham9779 I would say yes
Philippines as well
0:04 absolutely no one pronounces it like that.
Haha
Have a great day :-)

some times you should go to the fruit market and buy some fruits to show us what they have. And it will be good for you because you drink too much coke:)lol...
True and true
I agree with you
How old are you btw?
In earth years?
Haha .. 54
They don`t pronounce Hua Hin like that at all mate, but nice try.😀
Have a good day
Oh dear lord.
They are back.
ffs.
The financial comment? I’m looking for them
On this video?
I’ll get rid of them
@@RetireandGo 40+ posts within a few minutes.
It's a bot.
@ yep haha I zapped them
@@RetireandGo :-)
Why don't you rent a motorcycle, don't you think it's a better option or am I wrong?
Thanks for the nice videos 🙏👍🙏
That very depends on your riding skill especially getting out of BKK. I wouldn’t risk my life riding in BKK-never!
@@brihanwoolman2217 I don't even ride a grab motorcycle in BKK.
Wrong, too dangerous
@@EpTechie the traffic in Thailand is crazy
I did rent a motorbike years ago
It was frightening
Now just walk and pay for longer jumps
But, try it out and you might have a better experience ok?
Once you fall from an accident you might have to carry that injury for the rest of your life. Unless you are a young man.
I’m enjoying it
It’s lovely
Bet you didn't travel in a wheelchair
Not that I’m aware of haha
@RetireandGo I just wish someone would do a video to help disabled people in wheelchairs (like me) understand what can be done and what retired life would be like.
Thanks for replying
@ that’s a channel you could start
@RetireandGo probably will when I've been to Thailand - 3 weeks whoop. Plus have a single clue how to do a channel 🤔
@ this is important information
I hope you do :-)
The locals don’t pronounce it like that. Maybe you mean the foreigners?
Have a good day !
@@garyhind1405 you may be right
On the train the locals chatted with me, they say wa heen
But in restaurants in Hua Hin they say hua hin haha :-)
@RetireandGo it's probably down also to misinterpreting as said quickly also there's obviously a little difference depending we're at in Thailand accents same anywhere else
