Hey Chris, love your one month 30 day living costs video, a must watch for those of us who are planning to do similar. One big ask though for us numbers geeks. If you could put up one slide that summarises your 30 day costs at the end of the video - and broken down by categories such as accommodation, groceries, eating out, transport, entertainment, data etc. - that would really help us all see your total costs for 30 days, plus the breakdown. Thank you, much appreciated :)
Chris, look forward to the videos when they come out. Love the positive positive energy and that you do not use profanity like other TH-camrs A monthly summary at the end of the video would be awesome. I wonder if sometime you would look at Western Europe, such as Italy, Spain, and France and find low-cost Living there? Thanks again and keep up the great work. LD
I still love your videos, the places you show and the prices. It’s always interesting and I’m very interested to learn more about Bali and other places where its nice for low cost retirement. Once again, thank you very much, from Germany, you really create value.
Another "portions" observation. Three (3) tortilla chips with that incredible burrito! In America you'd get a basket of chips and refills if you want. That is why 78% of teenage American boys are unfit to serve in the military. Huge portions (of garbage) carbs is killing America.
Chris, I'm also a foodie & coffee fan. I would be spending every day at a cafe or coffee shop, reading a book or people watching (or making new friends) while enjoying a coffee! How would you compare Thailand vs Indonesia vs Malaysia (the top 3 picks according to a lot of people) - pros & cons? How close is Vietnam to being on par to these three countries?
Hi Chris ... have you considered Lombok and the Gili Islands for one of your 30 day trips, low/rainy season is coming but give it a go for next spring, would be glad to see your experiences there (cheaper than Bali)
Hi mate great content, I have been with you from early on. Keep up the great content. A quick one why do you not simply use an eSIM while travelling. I thought this had simplified phone travel greatly. Cheers mate.
Good point eSIM works good for most travelers for sure There are even eSIM apps now for travel My international plan is about the same as a data plan that would match my data use It’s a wash haha I’m a data hound :-)
I want to point out that portion sizes in the US are INSANE! People are being served 2-3 normal portions and the bulk is usually cheap carbs. If anybody thinks Mami's portion was small know that when you eat mindfully in the east you can adapt back to more normal portions. Haha...then when you get back the states it really hits you and you think...HOW DID THIS HAPPEN??! Unfortunately for me it wears off and I start overeating again! Work in progress...
Hi Chris, I’m sitting at home with a Sciatica flare up. Thanks for keeping me entertained while I recover. How many steps is your morning walk? How many km’s would you say?
$3.50 meal is insane. Lovely video once again. I have never been to Bali, was recently in Singapore and I still found ways to eat on a budget which I simply cannot do in Australia. But Bali and Philippines for example do seem to be great places to live in based on your videos. Thanks for sharing.
I envy your lifestyle. I could live out of a suitcase, but my wife is a nester and doesn't like going away for long periods. We have traveled all over, but for only a couple weeks at a time. I want to stay out for 2 - 3 months at a time. Oh well, what's that saying, "Happy wife..."😂😂
Hi, thanks a lot of your entertaining videos. You improves a lot over the last couple of years! I guess somebody already asked, but are you vaccinated against rabies? Many animals (e.g.monkeys) and escpecially dogs in Sout East Asia have it and does not need a bite to get infected (e.g. just a small wound at your fingers). And if you are infected it is 100% deadly. So take care! Greetings, Gerhard

I live in California. My food, per person, is about $30/day. That’s groceries and eating out for lunch. For $10/day, you’re eating like a king, for a fraction of the US.
Hi Chris, subscriber to your channel, thanks for all the great travel info and tips. I’m heading to HCM City Vietnam later this week. Any suggestions as to where you should stay.? Thanks , Dan from Vancouver Canada. 🇨🇦
Hello Chris, how do I fly into say Thailand without a round trip ticket? Or do I purchase a ticked one or two months out to my next destination? Not sure.
@ East Europe good. Why I am asking Philippines because I heard from many bloggers that it is better avoided. Was thinking if that’s your experience as well
Thanks for another great video, so glad Bali is still affordable. And it's such high quality there, because of the people. Its special.. Saw how Canguu was heading and was worried. I'll make Bali one of my temporary homes, and the Visayas, and bounce around on tourist visas. Seem SE asia is tightening up a bit on easy cheap visas, always keen on your thoughts about phones banks insurance etc.
Yes true I stay away from the luxury restaurants and hotels They are there ! And very nice Sometimes I go there to just chill with a coffee and see the location
Appreciate the cost breakdown. Enjoy watching your adventures. The stress free lifestyle is so attractive. Even after the election, there is bitterness, anger, and threats of retaliation on both sides. Safe travels Mahalo.
Im glad you feel healthy. But the whole place is toxic largely due to incorrect disposal of rubbish such as burning of plastic refuse. The incidence of cancer in Indonesia is very high and increasing rapidly. One of the reasons I would never live there. Your lunch was about 70 percent of what it would cost in Australia, food from the warungs is very cheap but its high carb and very unhealthy as they use a lot of seed oils.
