"Monkey Mountain"! It was terrifying the first time I went up there. We bought a shield and wooden sword at the shop to fend off the monkeys. The money was worth it! Great video as always!
I love Monsoon Valley. I have visited a few times there. I was astonished to find out about wine production in Thailand. I hope they will get recognition internationally.
My future home. Hua Hin.
I ❤ that town so much. The beach in the mornings. The easy going atmosphere. The nice markets.
Me march 2025!
Moving there from Jomtien in a week. My favorite Thai city- the one farang & Thai's call "boring". Quiet beach. No traffic. Not bar centric.
Every day's a school day and you're such a brilliant ambassador for Australia 😊
Very enjoyable vlogging.
Thanks Paddy for being such a great Aussie representative👍 Well, really for being such a good person in general👌 I mean your linguistic skills and story telling etc etc is amazing but you come across in all your videos as a person I’m sure the world could do with more of.
Thanks again for the great content🙏
Honestly means a lot 🙏 thanks for the support and kind words
I spent a week in HuaHin last November and had a blast. Great video, brings back good memories ❤
Dude ! You speak Thai very well !! Once I saw Hua Hin on videos like yours you cant un see it :) What an incredible place and look forward to being there in a few years. I am already learning Thai, hope to be as close to your fluency by then. Great Video A+
subscribed to ur channel ...eager for your videos
12:48 ... WOW !!! Stunning sunrise colours on the beach !!!
Beautiful place!
Another GREAT video! I have been once to Hua Hin, but after seeing this I want to go back and visit the places in your video. Thanks!
Great! I had the same thought about Hua hin up until last winter when we finally stayed there for 6 days. I found myself really liking the town and it was not at all as I expected. A place I definitely will return to and thanks for the wine yard info, it is on my to-do list now!
omg not you taking your shirt off in front of the monk passing by hahaha
Yeh that was bad timing haha complete accident!
😂😂😂 I thought the same, why is monk at the beach at that time 😅
Almost bumped into him lol
@@mr_wormhole monks here normally go out and receive alms from people and give a blessing in return in the early morning
I've only visited Hua Hin once, but this has inspired me to go take another look. Nice one, Paddy
Living the dream Paddy! HuaHin looks like the type of place you would go to chill out and get away from the main touristy areas. Love that Thailand has a wine maker there too.
Yep, it’s definitely worth the visit!
Nice. Was already waiting for a new Prassat Paddy upload ;)
Yes Hua Hin is a lovely spot.
Still quiet and unspoilt.
I’ve been to Hua Hin once, but I never expected it to have so much. Great video!
I honestly didn’t expect it to have so much either! Glad you enjoyed it - thanks for watching 🙏
i'm off to Hua Hin in a weeks time. thank you so much for your places of interest. i shall be checking them out.
Heck Yeah! Accidental XploreAsia advertisement!!!
They're a great opportunity to go to Thailand long-term, teach English, and explore the country.
Please do not any advertising for Hua Hin any more🤣. It's so good as it is. Nobody wants the city being overcrowded bei Russian, Indian and Chinese people. I like the videos about this town, describing it as lazy, not interesting, without nightlife (completely wrong) etc. I'd spend my time more years in this quiet place.
😂😂🙏no indians pls pleaseeeeeeeee🤌😒
The Chinks and Slavs are coming, no escaping it chief
Moving there from Jomtien in a week. Every Thai or expat I've ever told that, looks @ me as if I have three heads
Exactly. Only reason it's still good.
Love this video mate!
Thank you legend!
I love Hua Hin. Had a great year living there. Very laid back atmosphere. Not recommended if you are young and looking for vibrant entertainment
loved the video! and definitely your Thai is very much an inspiration! :D
Another great vid Paddy. You old wine lover. I’ve been to Hua Him myself. Nice place
Paddy, I'm a French teacher and so I appreciate wine. This was a spectacular exposé! 🍷 Cheers, mate. 🇺🇸🤝🇦🇺
Paddy managed to make a 15 minute video about Hua Hin and for the first 11 minutes managed only to feature things to do that are “close to” but not actually in Hua Hin. Nice!
Another great video Paddy - I'll be in HH n a few weeks time. Love when you went for a swim - the tide was out so you needed to keep running and running.
พี่เอน่ารักมากค่ะ Paddy อ่านภาษาไทยได้ด้วย ว้าว!! พึ่งรู้นะคะ เพราะคิดว่าพูดได้อย่างเดียว เก่งมากค่ะ 👍😊
Amazing video as always mate! เดี๋ยวต้องไปหัวหินนะครับ
Thank you for subtitles! Great Channel❤
Merry Christmas n a happy healthy wealthy to you & your family ❤ Best Wishes , Pat_Thai
Same to you Pat! Have a very Merry Christmas and happy new year! Thanks for your support 🙏
Great video mate 👍
Great stuff Paddy 👏
More travel doco style videos from you would be great Paddy. Suits you.
Means a lot!
Shhhhhhh.. don't tell everyone how good Hua Hin is. 😊
Nice to hear someone pronounce Hua Hin properly.
Do you mean, WAAH-HIN? My biggest cringe is whenever I hear PATTAYA pronounced PAAT-TIE-YAAH.
@@kevinp8108 Haha you got it and yes I agree with your cringe as well. Drives me insane lol.
@ mispronunciation trigger me because I’m Thai-American (100%, not mixed).
Never heard of Monsoon valley, very interesting
We have known for years that wine is produced there, but have not yet come across a single hotel in Thailand that offers this wine....
If it wasn't on your bucket list, what changed your mind :3 ? Just curious and glad you had fun.
Because I was invited by my friend Chu to explore Monsoon Valley and the surrounding area! Hope you are well Fack!
There's nice beautiful quiet beach their in Rayong too; if you have time please visit Mae Rum Phung beach and Laem Chaloen beach. There's a nice long seaside road also.
Nice one trying to pass as a Thai, Paddy😆 She didn't buy it LOL
I started my teaching experience in Hua Hin with Xplore Asia also!
How does that work? Do they help you get your English teaching credentials? Is there a fee?
@@kevinp8108 Yes they do and yes there is a fee. But it includes 1 month TESOL training in Hua Hin (along with a lot of other fun activities) and help with navigating the paperwork needed for your visa. They also help with getting a placement at a school. Some people prefer doing it on their own, but I began teaching during covid, and without their help I never would've been able to navigate all the extra complications and paperwork required during that time. It may be more simple now. However, the best part and what makes it worth the fee is the network of teachers and friends you'll meet during the training. 3 years later and my closest friends in Thailand I met during my training at XploreAsia. While they're not perfect, I highly recommend them.
Hua Hin so beautiful place 😊
I tried to explore monsoon valley website but no channel to order their wine, even neither found in other retail channel in Thailand 😢
Good luck with that Farrang Thai ID card 😂😂😂
555
Hi Paddy, didn't you meet Chu in England at a Thai festival? I was in Hua Hin and Pranburi, the neighboring city, last October 2024! Were you back in Thailand since your trip to Europe, or was this filmed before?
Yes, I did! Yep, I went from Asia to Europe back to Asia! Yes, I went past Pranburi too. Thanks a heap for watching
Hua Hin has been my beloved adopted home for more than 13 years now, and I do value the region's beauty, as well as its hitherto laid-back character. However, I'm becoming more and more aware of the adverse effects increased tourism is having on the ecological and social balance of the region.
What's the difference between old men drinking with bar girls at night, or young men drinking with bar girls at night. Just wondering.
The young guys gravitate to other areas, this place is more popular amongst older individuals who are after a more relaxed atmosphere.
Thai love Hua Hun for century.
That was a nice vid, Paddy.
We've visited Hua Hin from Australia about 6 times now and will be back there again in early Feb 2025, so not long to wait.
It IS very laid back and makes for a nice relaxing break from the craziness of Bangkok (which we also love).
Will try the roti after your recommendation. I find it difficult NOT to buy the sticky rice/mango for dessert - it's HEAVEN!
Keep up the great work mate.
@@Puppydoug enjoy the roti! Thanks a lot for watching 🙏
I heard express coming in 5 years or so from BKK. Paddy, how long does the train take from BKK at the moment?
Suppached Sasomsin is super cute. Now I will have to go Hua Hin.
You're so gay!
@@kevinp8108 Don’t worry, I won’t steal Paddy from you. You are clearly Simping.
@ Hey, I’m not gay but my boyfriend is!
พูดไทยชัดมากค่ะ👍
Hua Hin is nice. However, nowadays local Thais prefer Chonburi/Pattaya over Hua Hin. The driving on the motorway to Chonburi is much more pleasurable comparing with driving down RamaII road to Hua Hin. It is a pain to have to go through congestion and road work on RamaII road. That's why a lot of people opt for the eastern provinces instead.
Tourists can go there by train. Very convenient.
Pattaya is horrible. Soulless. Waaaaay overcrowded and horrible stinky sewer on walking street. Hua hin is 10000x better and more peaceful. Maybe Cha-Am or Prachuap Kiri Khan.
@anthonyanderson9326 I agree about your take on Pattaya but I still love to go there. I won't go near Pattaya's walking streets for sure. I will stay in Jom Tien areas, Ko Larn, Sriracha or Bang Saen. Pattaya's areas have a lot more to explore, great restaurants, cafes, markets, nice hotels. I dont drink so I won't go to bars and as a female I still love to go there for the reasons above. The high-speed train is being built. The EEC is nearby. So Pattaya has a bright future and is far from being horrible.
But I also admit that Huahin is great place as well. It's more suitable for couples or families while Pattaya is kind of wilder.
Wow Paddy, very nice presentation and you are a smart guy. I saw a vid when you beginn to learn Thai language. How long did it take you to speak Thai as well as now?
@@anthonyanderson9326 Facts
Careful now about swimming around Hua Hin at the bay. There’s a lot of Portuguese jelly fish. It can be deadly to get stung by those there’s different species around.
And then there is not only two night mark there is three night mark. There is a tamarin night Margaret next to Cicada market
Merci Paddy
I remember staying at a friend's beach house next to the old train station maybe forty years ago. I suppose it no longer exists and has probably been developed into something else. Your misconception is not unusual and the only way to change minds is to go and explore.
use gimbal or use software to fix shake image
I have to say that your videos are by far the best with excellent shooting VoiceOver and story strategy. They are literally hundreds of old white man videos with bad pronunciations, bad camera work and piss poor audio so you have nothing to worry about your Rise to success. The biggest bonus is your fluent in the language which is a real bonus because you have a genuine level of communication with the locals not just someone walking around pointing a phone and speculating ad-nauseam. Keep up your excellent work and you have earned another subscriber deservedly so.
Means a lot ! Thanks so much for subbing 🙏
1:00 Unfortunately the water of the ocean is still murky. Not as seen in advertising... 😅
I was honestly surprised how clear it was when I went there!
แพ็ดดี้ พูดไทย ฟังไทย คล่องขึ้นเยอะเลยนะ 😁
I googled the owner of Monsoon winery and his son. Very interesting. Dont think I'll bother with a visit.
Wow I wish we had those kind policemen in Australia. I guess that's why I love going to Thailand sabai sabai
Hua hin is easy to reach via train too
Hua means Head - right?
Krab-phom, the name literally means stone head. 😊
I could buy or rent a villa and stay home 90%. I dont need bars or nightlife.
How old are you. ?
