The ramifications for Harry, Meghan and the monarchy more widely are still unclear, following the couple’s announcement that they’re to “step back” as senior royals.
Can they be semi-detached with all the complications that would entail? Or would a hybrid relationship simply not work? Lewis Goodall reports and Kirsty Wark is joined by Robert Lacey, Jamelia, Kate Williams and Fraser Myers.

Harry was born with his titles; a born HRH and not even the queen can change that. Apparently, she has requested that they don’t use the HRH which they won’t and I’m not so sure about the Sussex Royal as a title or something, but they are the dukes and duchess of Sussex and have not been demoted from these titles so can use them and so they should.....them using the titles doesn’t disadvantage me or the country in any way, so from where does this negative wave of emotion stem, is beyond me.
Moreover, the name Royal is already used commercially by all sorts of businesses- just google it.
As for them taking free security. Harry, is entitled to British protection wherever in the world he is. He is prince of this country, the queen’s grandson, the son of our future king and somewhere in the line of succession and by ext. any immediate family of his is entitled to the same. What are you people advocating? That he be left to fend for himself? He will always get royal protection so get over it!

I didn't say Andrew was a demon. But being friends with Epstein and all that came out is obviously a scandal for the Royal family. And it's not believable that he "doesn't remember" if he had sex with the teenager. You've either have, or you haven't.
It's a shame that people forgot all about it and are hung up on something that the queen wishes to support. I think it's unfair how Meghan is being portrayed. I don't support them announcing via Instagram, but I don't support this much negative coverage either.

This is so true! The royal family is experiencing what many families go through, particularly when marrying a person quite divergent from what is typically the norm within the family. Unfortunate Harry and Meghan didn’t phase in more with their plans and have a little more consideration for the Queen and the royal family - so abrupt and very focused on “me”. I believe that eventually they will leave the royals completely, so this "transition" might be something temporary, the Queen put it up very cleverly.
The Queen has ruled the monarchy for years, and she is full of wisdom. If I were the Queen, I would willingly let Harry go and strip him off of everything royal. The Crown estates are as much private land as a private woodland or a private manor or a private factory or any piece of private land. The whole premise of science and philosophy is consistency, so if you are unable to see the inconsistency with scooping up private land and "returning it to the people" (if you mean public ownership, fat chance, the government will just sell the land off) then maybe you should stay out of this debate sunshine.

People don't have to look at this as such a negative thing but I knew if anything ever happened and issues arose after Harry's wedding that everybody would blame it on Meghan. I seen this was a joint decision and I noticed after they had their baby and they kept private, & that's when I got the feeling that they wanted even more privacy. The Privacy they wanted for a while regarding their royalty, and not having anything to do with them as human beings.They would be working for an honest living & having careers like everyone else does.
Prince Harry is one-of-a-kind and it wouldn't surprise me if he even went into politics in Canada just to be in a position to help people more because that's the kind hearted person he is.
The Queen has an estimated personal fortune of over 500 million, and he’s still her grandson.

Sorry to sound negative on this matter, but I knew from the moment when they became engage that it would not work. It is a matter of time before the two are divorce and their will be a nasty battle of custody and country for their son. Hollywood and the Royal family just do not go together. Hollywood has a separate culture which is opposite from the royal family. Harry in my opinion is going through a rebellion, as he has inherited both the rebellious ways of his mother and father. He has grown up in the royal family and will not be able to survive in a world without them. Megan will get tired of him and he will have no choice but to return to the only family and custom that he is familiar with. I despised Megan's half siblings, but something deep inside longed told me that they were right about her selfish ways.
