    Fair review. Has some faults but overall a great little thing.
    85 miles motorway range seems surprisingly low, how did you get that number?
    My ~30kWh usable e Golf will do ~3.5miles/kWh on the motorway so 105 miles range (100% to 0%) or 94.5 miles range (100% to 10%). I would expect the e Up to be similar at worst, but more likely better since it's a smaller/lighter car with a weaker motor.

    Why do reviewers go on about the 81mph speed limiter ?? 130kph ( 81.25mph) is the maximum road speed in 25 of the 27 EU countries. This car will excel in the 20mph British towns. As for range, reviewers alwys talk about 'normal driving' but the world is changing and fast acceleration and violent braking is so 20th century. These days waft along (an old RR idea) and listen to some calming music.

    If it's true that all E-Ups/Citigos/Mii are sold out for more than 12 months with no more orders being taken then these reviews need to talk about this issue. It shows there is huge demand and suggests problems with supply. What are the reasons for the supply issues?

    • @michaeleppler202
      @michaeleppler202 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There aren't really Problems with supply, they are just selling like crazy, especially in Germany where you can get it for less than 15k Euros with the New subsidies which really makes it a superb offer.

    • @nitelite78
      @nitelite78 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@michaeleppler202 A major manufacturer like VW should be able to take orders and produce a car to fulfill that order within a few weeks. If it's taking a year for delivery and new pre-orders have been stopped then that's a supply problem. It's certainly an issue to bring up in videos like this and a question to put to VW. Most manufacturers would be looking to increase production if a product is selling well. So are VW doing that? Or do they want to wait until the ID3 is ready and hope people buy that instead or do they just not really want to sell EVs?

    I disagree that it is cheap and cheerful ! Just because it’s electric doesn’t excuse the whopping great price tag in my view. A brand new Dacia Sandero costs one third of the price. Now THAT’S cheap and cheerful.

    • @miloslogic
      @miloslogic 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      asking for price tag of 10k for new ev is quite a lot, especially considering these electric cars aren't mass produced as their fosil fuel powered ancestors, which means they are still considered relatively new in this era. Tesla is looking to cut cost on their vehicles but just can't seem to do it because they would be then losing money on every vehicle produced. And so on, and so on... Either way, you're not taking into account all the variables of todays market.

    En tant que propriétaire de cette voiture, un petit retour d’expérience après 2500km.
    C’est une voiture merdique, 5 fois en panne !!! Les mécaniciens de VW sont complètement dépassés et désemparés devant ces véhicules électriques qui leur posent énormément de problèmes. Les responsables commerciaux et d’ateliers m’ont avoué que VW avait en projet de réparer ces futures voitures à distance depuis Wolfsburg, comme de vulgaires ordinateurs !!! Bref, les consommateurs vont bientôt être pris en otage, techniquement, mais surtout financièrement !!! J’en fais actuellement l’amère expérience et je tiens à vous conseiller vivement de fuir ces voitures pour l’instant. Je suis pourtant convaincu que c’est bien l’avenir...c’est bien pour cela que j’avais franchi le pas. Pour info : ID3, Zoé,...même bazar.
