- Kalimera! Join us this Sunday morning in Kolonaki in the city center of Athens. We have some breakfast at Da Capo, check out the Benaki museum, take the cable car up to Lycabettus hill and a lot more. Kolonaki is famous for it's exclusive shopping and many cozy cafes and bars.

For Athenians,"DaCapo"means Kolonaki and Kolonaki means "DaCapo" .Probably the most historic cafe in Athens,a meeting point for famous actors ,athletes,politicians,celebrities etc..

Since you showed Bvlgari, this company was founded in 1884 by a Greek. His name was Sotirios Voulgaris (Boulgaris). After he died, his sons took over the company, then their sons and so on, and Im not sure but I think to this day the company is owned by the founder's, Sotirios', descendants.

We ate at a place called "Lyra"😊 It was very cozy with live music and good food🥰

But I, as always, will tell you something historical, even if that is unpleasant: during the period of the German occupation 1941/1944 in Kolonaki at number six Merlin street there was one of the most horrible buildings. The building that was the headquarters of the German Gestapo ... That's where became horrible tortures and numerous executions of men and women of the resistance...
