- Kalispera! Join us today when we explore some new openings in Piraeus, Athens. First we check out the Piraeus Tower in the port of Piraeus and after that we go to a new rooftop bar called "E7 Upper View", also located in Piraeus port. The Piraeus Tower was not quite finished yet so we will come back for a tour there when it's done. The rooftop bar "E7 Upper View" was really amazing!☀️🥂

In Athens, buildings are not allowed to surpass 12 floors so as not to block the view toward the Parthenon. Specifically up until 1968 the maximum allowed height of a building was 35 meters, but from 1985 until now it is 27 meters. There are several exceptions though, such as the Athens Towers, the Atrina center, and the OTE central building, all of which exceed that level. This is due to their either being built far away from the centre, or to the fact that they were constructed during periods of political instability. The city's tallest structure is the Athens Tower, reaching 103m and comprising 28 floors.
I didn't see anyone staring at Parthenon. I saw only illegal immigrants and gypsies.
And about to be surpassed by the so-called "Riviera Tower" at the Ellinikon development.
@@PURE.EVIL. You obviously missed those 3,000,000 who visit the Parthenon anually. Their numbers increase so rapidly (23,000 daily - 2023 stats) that they decided to limit the visitors to 20,000 daily. *You missed those,* aaaand you preferred staring at the migrants and the ...gypsies (??!!) instead of the Parthenon. It's strange too that you saw so many Roma, when in a city like Athens and its suburbs where 5,000,000 people live, currently there're just 30,000 Roma, or 0,6% of the population. *I mean,* you need to be the Hawkeye of the racists :D
@@papertoyss Of course I miss the tourists visiting the Parthenon. I was referring to the fact I learned that there is a limit of 12 floors so you can see the Parthenon from everywhere which is clearly stupid. You don't see anyone in the streets trying to see the Parthenon. I don't think if even they know what Parthenon is judging from their faces. And I saw many gypsies with tumbledown cars and loud speakers yelling something. HERE COME THE GYPSIE BABY!
@@PURE.EVIL. _"You don't see anyone in the streets trying to see the Parthenon"_ that is because this provision is not for the pedestrians to be able to see the Parthenon, but for those who live in the buildings of the wider area, and it works too. You can indeed see the Parthenon from literally everywhere. This had also as a result what is known as the human-scale buildings.
Now, and just bcoz you probably missed it, in Athens and it's suburbs live about 5,000,000 people, of which 30,000 *or - - > 0,6% < - - of the population are Roma.*
That's probably(!) less Roma than those living in your own country, and in any case very few to call them a problem, *even for a racist like you.*

I hope you know the battle of Salamis ( Salamiva), that made the Athenians the greatest warriors of all time, that and the battle of Marathona. I would, but I’m a proud Greek. I never talk our Great nation down itsn’t in my DNA. What boils down to it, we always had bad neighbours and the Nazis left us for dead, and Iwas nearly Killed in Cyprus 1974. After the war Greece was very poor,I hope you got the message. Great thanks.🇬🇷✝️🇬🇧

Girls this is the second tallest building in Greece with 25 floors at 84 meters high. The tallest is the tower of Athens at 101 m and 28 floors.
Βut pretty soon the Hellinikon Riviera tower will be finished and it will be the highest building in Greece standing at 200 m high.

The tallest building in Greece today is the tower of Athens....in Mesogion ave..in the center of athens ... Actually is 19 metres higher than the tower of Piraeus...103 vs 84m
The new tower in ellinikon ( former airport) will be up to 200 m ..so this will be soon the highest building in Greece...
Both buildings were built during the period of the junta (government that was formed after the military coup on 21/4/67) and it was an attempt by this government to show the great progress it brought to the country.

I am not sure but the tower of Athens looks higher either way I am glad they did something with it because for all those decades it was a ghost concrete building that was the first thing you'd see soon as you arrived in the port by the sea it was a very ugly view I am 57 years old and that building it was left in the same state as far as I remember
