@@chrisgot-money51 would it be good to start on? Probably not. The thing about these 600s is that if ur a beginner it wont be forgiving. But if you know how to respect the bike it will be fine. As a beginner if you dont respect the bike and it is easy to think youre a better rider than you actually are as a beginner, you probably will die. So respect the bike, practice, get to an MSF course itll help with confidence.

So I have a V4S, it's definitely too much for the street....that's why the V2 has that kind of appeal to me. Particularly with the electronics and dash from the V.....people will buy the V4 because they can and it's the top of the line. But the V2 is probably the better choice for 9 out of 10 riders, me included.

Just bought my 2015 Panigale R this last summer. It's a handful but sort of not at the same time. I think it's more manageable than my 2005 zx10r was but that is not saying much. I brought it to a really small track and found it was much more manageable once I turned it down power wise. As for using it on large tracks it's a blast. The looks are so good compared to anything else.

Most riders can not come near the max potential of that bike. The rider makes the difference on winning bikes. Competition bikes are fairly similar but the rider that can take it to the next level nearer the envelope, with crashing or exceeding, wins the race. You can place a professional rider on a less competitive bike with less horsepower and less suspension and they will still smoke you.

On the street there is a big difference; low end torque. 600's make no power under about 8,000 rpm. You really need to keep the engine spun up to get any power of them. The Panny makes much more torque lower in the rev range which makes them far more usable on the street.

There are so many electronics inside. Any beginner can handle this baby pretty confident. I owned two 1199s. No comparison to the old ducatis

Yes, mine is temperamental getting into the “real” neutral, but easily slips into the mystery one between 5th and 6th gear. But you can’t beat the looks and the ride. I’m dreading the 10,000 mile “Ducati tax”.
