@@tauhid610 Holy, its been a while since i made that comment, so, i Never got to actually finish the animation. I got a job at the time, and shortly after started college, and the animation was a hobby that i could not maintain :(
Inorder to import videos into TVpaint, you need to open them via the open file option and select your video but please remember some video types won't work, the ones I use for work is avi files from bandicam when I study Sakuga animation for reference
Huh, I don't remember subscribing to ya but Im glad to know I did xD Nice job for covering Oda~ more people need to know more about the gears that make these awesome studios turn :) (Cover Takafumi Hori next time!)
I'm here from Space Dandy #13! Holy shit, one guy been in the animation staff for Afro Samurai, Space Dandy, One Punch Man and Fullmetal Alchemist?! I'm guessing he's worked alongside my favorite animator, Yutaka Nakamura a lot then.
Cool! I find it quite comfortable to load videos in TVPaint. Usually I just drag the mp4 file from a folder and then choose some settings (by the way, tvpaint forum is quite supportive). I also did it with this "fists scene" from OPM the next day I saw the episode, because it's awesome)
yeah unfortunately i tried dragging it in as MP4 and as MOV and it did absolutely nothing. I then tried to use import footage - selected the file and it did.... absolutely nothing. Not very happy about that! At least give me a message telling me why it won't load it or something...
Yesterday I had this issue, but it was solved quickly because I was just standing on a hidden layer. When it's something else, people say it can be connected with the relationship between your computer settings--your QuickTime--video codecs--version of TvPaint. Most often the problem is that user has 64bit computer: the QuickTime, which is used to import video, doesn't work on that. But if you have a 64 bit computer you can just download a 32bit version of TvPaint(with no need to delete the old one, if there's another name), sometimes it works. That's just what I heard.
I know i'm a little bit late bc the video has a year But i love what you say about the "this not necessarily have to be a punch scene" cuz it reminds me of Naotoshi Shida and his acrobatic dances merged in a fight scene Yes, i know he's one of the mainstream names and maybe he's not top tier but that's the example that i could get
i like when you talk in british accent mine while i learned how to say english in british accent like you say it in this video btw i learn much knowledge from you thnx broo
I actually animate pretty similar... Except I tend to add a lot of motion lines and smears. If a character is moving fast I like to turn the whole body, including the face, into a smear. I like to add a lot of extra drawings than needed when animating to make it really smooth as well...
Cody Thuringer Pretty sure he gets the stills by using video editing software. There is plenty of free software and tutorials on the internet. Edit: I realize that I may have misinterpreted the question. Its pretty HD so my guess is that he probably either ripped from a disc or high quality torrent.
I convert the video to an image sequence in after effects. I import multiple images at a time the use the distribute to keyframes tool. You can just import it as a video too if you prefer.
Would you mind doing a video for animating water and explosions, because there is a massive project that I’m making and there’s a lot of explosions and water, I also (u don’t need to do this) how to animate difficult scenes that looks 3d but isn’t only because in my opinion in some scenes 3d is very easy to spot and realize and 2d looks better to me than 3d, for example in attack on Titan season 2, they used a lot of 3d scenes and I think they looked dum and dull unlike shows like space dandy were they didn’t use 3d too much and it looked amazing.
I'm not sure about other softwares but in Photoshop you can select File --> Import --> Video Frames to Layers, and then select a small selection from the video you want to convert as frames :)
Hey man, I’m a 15 year old wannabe animator, and a sadly disappointed in my drawings and am only good at drawing male heads, hair, and faces, and am terrible at bodies, and pretty much everything of the sort. Can anyone give me advice? I’ll take anything at this point. Please help 😰
arthur scown I think he's the best action animator alive. He has perfect timing, impact frames and choreography. Plus he perfectly sells the magnitude of the action by showing how the world physically reacts. Imho he deserves all the praise he gets. But I can understand if you don't like him that much, for example I don't like Shida even if he's a good animator, I don't like his pointy shapes and his slow timing, it kills the action. Tastes are tastes, but Nakamura is known for his talent
All these animators:Naotoshi shida,Yoshikazu tomita,yuichi karasawa,yuya takahashi,ken otsuka,masahiro shimanuki,futoshi higashide,Ryo onishi,Naoki miyahara,naoki tate,hiromi ishigami are excellent,amazing,epic and surpass yutaka nakamura.
thanks for the vid hope you read the bible and understand Gods wisdom the end times are near make a change turn ur life to ChrIst if you dont want to go to hell
Oda’s freaking amazing , honestly you made me appreciate his style even more through this series !!! I also Really appreciated the Ohira , Bahi JD , Iso Studies they’re some of my favorites . Also could you possibly look into doing Ryo Timo , Yutaka Nakamura , Yuuasa and Hiroyuki Okiura maybe ? Thanks !

23:30 "hes a very angry character" his brother just died
Yeah
I really like these. Iisten to them while animating but also on their own. Breaking things down from the masters is really helpful. Thank you!
glad I could help!
I am making an animation by myself, and your videos are rlly inspiring, keep it up! cheers from Brazil!

I deconstructed a shot from Redline in my tutorial on animating speed :)
Howard Wimshurst oh yeah I forgot!
Howard Wimshurst excellent,good. I agreed
The background running at 24FPS really does add compliments to the key animation of how the characters move !

The circular ripple on his face is actually from the manga tub he incorporates the animation so perfectly

How do u get these frame by frame animation frames from anime. I want to be Able to look and study my favorite animators like you do with yours.

He uses adobe Animate and imports a video clip into the program
