Thanks for watching, guys! These are Fortune Auto 510s w/ the Swift Spring option, they were build for the Z and have already been on track twice. Absolutely phenomenal.
Can you please explain how do you CHOOSE the right shims stack to exact damper? Based on your experience so it behaves how you want it to on the bench? how often do you adjust the shim stack during the build?
This was AMAZING A lot of ppl think ASMR is only soft music, gentle movement, and calm speaking. They don't know there are sound triggers like this. Also visually calming as well.
As someone who builds shocks for a living. From a production standpoint, it is unlikely that they dyno every shock like what’s shown in the video. The company usually chooses to dyno the first and last shocks of an order, however big that order may be. To ensure consistency of course. Just a little insight from the industry.
I know no one will see this so imma just express myself. I’m an amateur automotive technician. I’m doing my best and hardest to learn, adapt, and be a better technician. Unfortunately yesterday was an emotional breaking point where I felt as if I couldn’t do anything right. I was absolutely discouraged. But seeing these ASMR videos wasn’t only peaceful and soothing, it reassured me that I’ll definitely get better. Seeing those guys build things with precision and care, reminded me that they were once like me. New to vehicles. I just need a quick break, and I’ll keep on going and be the best that I can.
Just wanna give a round of applause and respect to whoever does the beautiful, yet time consuming editing on these videos. A true masterpiece my friend👌🏽
I bought a set of Fortune Auto 500 coilovers with Swift springs for my daily driven IS350 3 years ago and I love them. Hand built quality at an affordable price and made in the USA! They are still going strong even through the harsh winter weather (salted roads) here in upstate NY. Will upgrade to the current generation (3 day turnaround) when it's time to rebuild them. Excellent video- thank you!
Commenting to feed the algorithm. All of the sounds of putting together my own suspension setup with none of the cursing or cost? Sign me tf up please :) Good work Gears and Gasoline!
I used to think ASMR was this weird goofy trend made up by young generations, but i watched a video and then another, and now i'm hooked onto ASMR, there's good asmr and theres bad asmr
Mechanic asmr. This is what I want to go to sleep to everynight. Get this up on Spotify with an intro, and make it a series and you guys will be quite the hit sensation.
Adjustable damper clicks are nice, I used to play with my blitz zzr's before I knew what ASMR was. Had to sit in a quiet doctors waiting room to get the tingles
Needed more low but love the aspect of the mixture between the colors. Oh what a beauty of video always wanted to see how they’re put together thank you fellas.
Yall actually did it!! Thanks! Edit: i didn’t particularly like the sound of the gloves but everything else was awesome!!! Loved the music over it at the end. It really helps smooth out the harsher noises
Please make another ‘asmr’ type video like this soon 🙌🏻🙌🏻so relaxing yet entertaining. And you killed it with the angles. A video with like an interior and/or exterior detail, or maybe one on how an alignment process is , would probably be a cool idea if you ever consider another video w/o any talking & needed ideas
I'm really curious about how you guys managed to pull this off; I imagine the Fortune Auto shop is probably pretty noisy. Was it editing, microphone placement, getting the shop quiet, all of the above? In any case, great work!
Today on how they do it. Coilovers also know as a Plumbuses. Everyone has a Plumbus in their home. First they take the dinglebop, and they smooth it out, with a bunch of Schleem. They are several hizzards in the way. The blamphs rub against the chumbles. And the plubus and grumbo are shaved away. That leaves you with a regular old Plumbus.

Weirdly, I think this might be one of the best videos you've ever made.
It's an ad but at least it's a pretty ad
Id be nice to see an asmr edit of detailing the evo because it’s half way there anyway
Can you please explain how do you CHOOSE the right shims stack to exact damper? Based on your experience so it behaves how you want it to on the bench? how often do you adjust the shim stack during the build?
Where can I a pair for a great price!!
At this point you guys just need to make an ASMR series.
It'd be awesome if they did an engine series where it's like the intake and exhaust sounds of certain engines. Guarantee people would listen.
@@androiduberalles seconded
@@androiduberalles yes now

This channel deserves so many more subscribers. The cinematography is just on another level
i totaly agree with you , in my opinion , they are reaching marques brownlee in term of production quality which i consider on of the best in youtube
I used to think ASMR was this weird goofy trend made up by young generations, but i watched a video and then another, and now i'm hooked onto ASMR, there's good asmr and theres bad asmr
Yep. Good, bad, and naughty.
We don’t talk about the “naughty” part of asmr
@3:05 . Its normally good practice to pour the oil towards the sides to allow it to flow in. This is to avoid air bubble entrapment.
it's also good practice to vacuum bleed and degas the shock oil. Even brand-new oil has a lot of air in it that you can't see by eye.
This is how I imagine me working on my car. Nothing but the beautiful sounds of parts moving
then that tight ass bolt gets stripped then you are cussing up a storm lol
that’s why the company is so successful, just look at how everything is well taken care of :( there’s just so much passion behind this
I wish my installs went this smoothly all the time 😂
Hell yes!!!! Keep making these car ASMR videos they are amazing! And all my friends look forward to them
The quality and content of this channel is amazing this has to be the best car channel

This is actually it. You’ve hit the jackpot. This series is a keeper.

pls make an asmr series it would be soooo good, just watching and having the natural sounds of the metal, the rubber everything is so damn zen
Your mom just walks in on you staring at this part 5:12
All car enthusiasts are watching this with red eyes like...

Okay , this and the Nissan gtr engine assembly video in the asmr style are my new go to's 👌
never been interested in car mechanics or ASMR, watched the whole thing. great video
The BEST video what I' ve ever seen
That was the most satisfying video on the planet
Awesome video with my favorite suspension company.
Nicely done video. Fortune Auto builds a quality product.
See this ASMR doesn't creep me out or anything like that. Just chilled, like beer in the summer.
For some reason, just by the sounds alone I can imagine how everything feels and weighs.
Never thought i'd watch it till the end, but i did. Beautiful. Good job 👍

Pretty sure they are a fairly small company
best way to make u tube videos without any disturbing music

Add some more detailing videos like the one with subaru, I've watched it four times and it was awesome every single time. Guys did fantastic job!
Also the engine rebuild in asmr was so satisfying
I feel like I should switch my coilovers up now haha
1:26 that was so satisfying
I had fortune auto coil overs and broadway static (fortune auto) and man I love that suspension. Very good quality stuff
That was rather satisfying to watch
The Nissan 350z is such a nice car and is so affordable it’s honestly a perfect car
Just started watching your videos. Love the content so far. Keep it up 👌
perfect choice of music
What was the song in the intro?
No words needed 👌🏻
Now I really need a set of these for my STI......
Same here. Been waiting to pull the trigger and after this winter, I'm hoping to install a set along with new summer wheels and tires.
