KCs to humble.. He was a rock star on HS and contributed so much. Exploitation is the name of the game on HS...the fact KC wont plug his book on the show or ask Stern for anything is a testament to his Integrity and humility. Love KC...great hearing from him.
KC was always one of the few Stern Show members I actually like. Also as whacky as he sometimes was I legitimately think that he was too sincere and genuine to be on the show. It is great to know that he is doing better and that he is still alive.
One of the most upsetting and uncomfortable moments in the history of the show was when KC came back to the studio during the Sirius years and Gary and co treated him like a stranger and as if he was some maniacal psychopath (even though he was somewhat menta) it was hard to watch because all KC wanted was some compassion from his so called friends and for the person he once looked up to to give him some time.
I haven't seen that incident for years so I can't even remember if he got to enter the studio and speak to Howard that particular time? But regardless he was treated badly.

yeah, it was pretty damn shitty to watch bc the most relatable people were kc and artie. it felt like a friend was going through shit and we are powerless to help really. that's why everyone is always commenting to them that they hope or glad they are OK.
So glad KC is doing ok. I actually met him, Artie and some of the guys from the show back in 2004 after a comedy show. They were such nice guys. I hope Artie can get someday find peace in his life.

I go through kc tapes on TH-cam at least once a year.
I live in Vegas. They were in town a few times in mid 2000s and had the show at Hard Rock hotel. Crazy times as i was in full party mode in those days and i think i actually got a room there 1 night. They were all over hotelday and night it was awesome time.

13 years clean and sober next week for me. No problems with alcohol though I gave it up due to cross addiction but had the worse opiate addiction plus addicted to Soma, Adderall and the worst to get off was Xanax I ate them like candy. Congrats to you!

I haven't had the same struggles as KC and I didn't lose the amount of money that he lost on gambling but I totally know what he meant when he was talking about being so depressed that he didn't care if he fucked his future up and lost all of that money. During my first semester of college at 18 years old, my high school sweetheart (who went to college literally across the country for school) and I broke up and I became severely depressed for the first time in my life. All I cared about after that was drugs and alcohol. Dropped out of school after the semester ended and for several months I worked at a shitty job and frequently drank on the job. Randomly one day Nintendo released Amiibo figurines and I became obsessed with collecting them. From there I started collecting other figurines and it was the only thing that brought me any happiness at that time. Opened credit cards and overdrafted my banks account and never paid it back. I figured I'd be dead before it would cause any serious problems for me. When I got my shit together a year and a half later, I felt like a real fool for screwing myself like that

I always wondered what happened to him.
I always felt like KC represented the kind of guy that Howard resented and feared when he was growing up. The stereotypical “Jock” got all the chicks and was popular. He really seemed to revel in making him look like an incompetent idiot. Payback.
Howard was far worse to John, Benji, Gary, Ralph and Tom. His jokes were mostly geared to mocking KC's good looks, youth, and naivety (because he was young).
The only people he never went after was Artie and Robin probably because they were his cohosts.
Why do you assume the worst about Artie? Maybe he's just taking it easy.
