Guitar: 1887 Antonio de Torres SP/MH - www.guitarsalo...
Here's Tasco Comanescu performing "Eterna Saudade" on an 1887 Antonio de Torres guitar made with spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Recorded at the Guitar Salon International showroom in Santa Monica, CA.
Huge thanks to the folks at Apogee Electronics (ApogeeDigital.com) for the use of their Ensemble interface in these recordings.

What an incredible play of this romantic piece. Thank you for sharing your interpretation.
Thanks for remember of Dilermando Reis. Perfect execution
Love hearing a real Torres. It's living history.
I love the "soul" of this peice and how It's played good job
Mahogany is really underrated as back and sides wood...what an incredible instrument
I agree, the best resonance and vibration transfer
Cuban though, denser. But yeah, Spanish guitars by Torres and Santos H. seem to have a bit more of a lyrical voice in Cuban Mahogany. It's not just the full "transfer" of rosewood (overcome by more massive construction in later instruments), there's a filtering effect.
Need to get a mahogany guitar to see how it sounds
Wonderfully played with nice sound!! Thank you!!
Taso the man. Wonderful piece and guitar of course
Dilermando Reis foi um dos maiores violonistas brasileiro, grande compositor.
You played that with such wonderful lyricism. Bravo!
Beautiful piece, beautifully played.
That was a very nice rendition , I love your phrasing . That Torres records very well , he would be proud .
Beautifully played Taso!
Thx for posting, a wonderful performance👌
Wonderfull
Excellente interpretation!
That was beautiful !
❤love your performance 😻
Interesting to listen to a piece played on a guitar older than the piece. Great job btw.
Very beatiful performance, thanks 👌
Fantastic. Thx for sharing!
Que c'est magnifique !! Quel son cette guitare !!♥♥
Parabéns!!! Linda música e perfeitíssima execução !!!
Parabéns pela execução da peça. Salve Dilermando Reis!
awesome tone
Amazing!!
A romantic version of the Eterna Saudade, really good.
Quel joli son ! J'adore🥰
Saudades do meu pai
1887? No wonder this guitar is copied to this day? Distortion free, no mysterious clashing of tones. Stunning!
Я люблю вальсы особенно вдумчивые как пьесса
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Prob the best cedar ive ever heard. Its spruce?? Now wonder i like it. Thats a very warm sounding spruce yet has that clear definition a spruce top brings. That guitar is amazing. Let me guess its 20k😅
Очаровательный звук !
It's Reis, not Reyes
He is probably (flamenco) guitar geek 😂 (could have been me..)
❤
Brazil🇧🇷
goddamn. Pack it up boys, I don't think it gets better than that.
Torres used inches. Not 635 millimeters. 25 inches.
Редкое произвидение
Execução muito boa, porém cerio que está canção tocada com dois violões fica melhor_ as notas soaram mais límpidas e o contato ficará mais logo dando mais energia à música.
Красивая музыка , но много грязи!
This guitar is so weak volume wise. Not even great instruments hold up to the test of time
Not my favorite interpretation, rushed, noo feeling, like played by AI
Don't think that wildly lose rubato is how this work should be interpreted.

It sounds beautiful
Update…. I watched your vids. This guy destroys you.
Eu sou brasileiro e cresci ouvindo essa peça. Para mim, foi uma das mais belas interpretações que tive o prazer de escutar.
I absolutely loved your interpretation and shared it with people of impeccable taste.❤🙏🏻
Fabulous guitar and Comanescu makes the most of its tonal possibilities, wow.
