I never seen the clear gas line before I never cared for John Deere too much right now I have a Troy-Bilt made pretty cheaply that bar that holds the front of the deck I had to bend it back I added some washers to it. Thank you for the video
Good video should help people with this problem on the L series john Deere. In my opinion the last good riding mower John Deere made was the LX series they were good mowers well made.
place I've seen a lot of clear line used is on snowmobiles it seems to be good for that application because it remains a lot more flexible at colder temperatures then standard rubber does
I have tried clear fuel line before and wasn't a fan for various reasons. I've always used the black because holds up to the engine heat. I think I will give the braided clear line a go though, never know it might be my new "go to" fuel line.
Great video! i Love watching your videos. i will be trying the Davco fuel line. got to love the way that some fuel lines are run, like Not. have a Blessed day. :)
I've got to find a way to replace the carburetor ground bolt that broke off . While replacing entire gas like from tank to filter. Just put new filter, new carburetor , new starter switch , battery. So outside new line and a starter not much else I want to do to it as it wouldn't crank and gas line past the filter is dry hence the replacing but it was making a clicking sound at the starter solenoid switch so it has a new one
Why the heck did they swap the fuel tank and battery locations? I'm pretty sure gravity is everywhere on the planet. The new tractors at Lowes have fuel tanks under the hood held in with ONE zip tie. Really? That's why I keep my three AYP Craftsmans in good condition.
Thanks for the video, and info.It looks like a serious buttpain to work on. You gave the info on a mowing deck below, and I wondered if you'd ever used Chain as a lift-bar replacement. We have an area that twists and kept pushing the deck up and popping the bar off and the deck would just drop on 1 side or the other,so ..Chain pinned on and no probs.
When I replaced the deck on my L100, the deck I bought from John Deere came with an upgrade kit for the lift bars that replaced the fixed bars with a set of J-shaped round stock bars and a fixed pivot point that mounts to the frame. The deck side mounts with a big T-headed bolt that floats inside the J and hasn't had any of the disengagement issues that my old one did.

I use the yellow marine fuel line from Napa.

Yes the larger shaft drive cubs run a floating deck that hangs on chain. Rare to see but been a thing on bigger decks for a long time.

What mower deck do you have under that 110? I have one that looks almost new and no deck... just wondering so I might be able to match one up
Did a video on it last year. It's a craftsman YT3000 deck. Need the Craftsman rig as a donor for the lift bars.
@@redneckcomputergeek right onbi happen to have one of those too...lol
Yea the clear line gets HARD after a couple years
this confuse me i have a craftsman yt3000 yet it has a gravity fuel tank under the hood and battery under the seat
