It is so fun to watch you and John work on the tractors and stuff. John seems like quite a character and a lot of fun to have around. Good to see dad teaching son to work on stuff.
I'm sure you know that there is a lever at the back of the mower by the tow hitch that will unlock the differential. Great video, love to see family working together.
I love watching John on that John Deere, its literally the perfect machine for that with that clutch setup. I love how it just goes to idle lit it does and it is so much easier to communicate without him having to adjust the engine speed like a regular lawn tractor. I miss having a young person around to drive the tractor to help move stuff, When my grandson gets a little bigger he will be on the machine for sure.
🎉 another mower and a shed load of firewood for the wood burner in the garage in the winter. Another great video by father and son.. John you suit the deer😎
So the transmission release stuck that would have just engaged the drive system that can happen after when things sit for so long especially when the weather gets to it it can always cause moisture and cause rust it happens been through that myself! You can only work with what you got in the condition that sitting at that point
Been there, man. Now I'm 37, married again with a 3 and 1 yr old. 1st wife didn't want kids. So I didn't waste time with number 2. Haha. We've drug home a bunch of L/LA/D series JD lawn tractors. It's been alright. It's just some hard work lately with the kiddos. Please keep up the good work with recording/editing! I love watching your videos.
feed that cool kid's desires to work on things. it will get him far in life. he can have a successful career working on stuff people will pay good money for it.
Nice to have your Dad's rider out! Hope it will be of good use to your household in Maine. 😊 I am looking forward to a series dedicated to making this "Husk-Man" fully functional...
Folks sure can get petty when it comes to a divorce, mine was 24 years ago. She took the smoke detectors off the wall lol! Anyway been 21 years with a great lady, no complaints. :)
Seeing all that pile of gas cans makes me think your ex was going to burn down the house. The pile of wood was going to be the kindling for the fire. Glad she didn't get the chance
Go find ya an 8n or 9n Ford tractor to rebuild with him, I used to drive them when I was his age. Fun to drive and a lot more horsepower then the deer. Plus you can hire it out with implementation. Rear pto and 3 point hitch. You can also use a grader blade on it. And a bucket frt with hydrlics or back with 3 point hitch.
I just saw something that you did that is a really good idea you used an old rim to hang up your hose. I was going to scrap out an old Rim but now I think it's perfect to hang my extension cord I am going to borrow your idea 😀😀😀
In your 440 vs 390 comparison video, the bore of the 440 carb was bigger than the 390 carb. Do you know which Mikuni-style intake adapter will work for the 440 that has the larger bore?
Going to dig out the wall, screw in a couple "Trailer anchors' diagonally, and bolt through the wall then refill? It looks like a good area for storage with sheet metal under the deck.
13:40 I was wondering why you didn’t do that but my level of concern was at an all time low the only reason I commented was because I thought you weren’t going to mention it lol
Your ex and my ex should go out for lunch sometimes. Mine prefered the “how many allegations can I make until something very bad happens to you” card though.
I wonder if im the youngest Riding Lawnmower Mechanic Because ive been a riding mower mechanic since 5 and now im 13 and i rebuild motors for a living and im only 13 now.... Not to brag but . . .... . . . . . .
I remember your divorce.i have a BOLENS tractor with grass cutter roto tiller snow blower and dump wagon.if your interested let me know.ill give it to you FREE

😂😂 evidently you didn't watch the whole video 13:30
Part of being an adult is controlling your mood and it doesn’t sound like that woman reached that level.
I don’t think woman ever reach that level
Or, what did he do that warranted that, must have been something bad in her eyes,

Happy you got that out. I lost my Dad's long before I got into tractors 🚜
He smile faded so quickly when you said to put the John Deere 110 away😂.

That’s awesome, giving your dad’s stuff some love. Love how you built your son a cool tractor.
That's pretty cool john being on a tractor That any kid's dream I can't wait for the video to come out Thank you For the video
I say the tractor looks a lot better after a bath now hopefully everything else goes smoothly with getting it back on running again
That mower looks like it has some life left in it,👍, sorry to hear about your dad, awesome video guys, and thanks for sharing.

Been great watching John grow up and be learn:)
Great video! love watching your videos. your Dad's mower looks like a good ride on mower.

Divorce is a huge sin that maybe why
As always.. great video with interesting content... also you and your son make a great team
6:34 I've never seen a garden tractor with a push button ignition switch, only ever seen ignition switches that needed a key to turn.
Great team you and John.Looking forward to the next instalment. All the best to you all.
Nice! Wish I wasn't far away. I'd trade, perhaps a Simplicity 3410 for that? Lol! Can't wait to see next part.
You and John make a great team!!!!
Glad to see your still doing TH-cam, I don’t think I’ve seen your channel since your divorce to be honest
Seeing all that pile of gas cans makes me think your ex was going to burn down the house. The pile of wood was going to be the kindling for the fire. Glad she didn't get the chance
Me too that’s what I thought.
Good video. John is such a nice kid.

Why didn't you raise the mower deck when he got it out & put it in neutral so that the back wheels can turn 🤔
Question. I had someone change my carb. Now it shoots out oil from a hose. Do you know why ? Is motor junk?
3:21 if its on your property and has been for a long time, and no one is paying rent its all yours.
What do you have on the John Deere for an engine? Seems to be far to much room in the engine bay.

I think you guys need a mini Matt's off-road recovery rope
5:00 That would be a normal size chair for my Grandfather and aunts children.
I am so sorry for your loss 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Make sure the parking brake is off then pull that lever out on the rear end should be free rolling in neutral
John needs and extra set on back tires for pulling:)
That jhon deere is so rad lookin i love it
😂super video 😍💋❤
13:40 I was wondering why you didn’t do that but my level of concern was at an all time low the only reason I commented was because I thought you weren’t going to mention it lol
Maybe Jon could do a light buff job with swirl mark remover and then wax the tractor that Hood would shine up nicely I bet
Now you can use the wood to shore up your deck that drastically needs repairs and I dont mean a farm jack.
14:06 youtube know it all here like as much older then you, as your my kids ages. There went the hydrostatic transmission.
TH-cam know it all says save your back let jon pull stuff with the ranger 😂
Your ex and my ex should go out for lunch sometimes. Mine prefered the “how many allegations can I make until something very bad happens to you” card though.
yeah, unfortunately they don't have many consequences, so they act like demons it seems
I wonder if im the youngest Riding Lawnmower Mechanic Because ive been a riding mower mechanic since 5 and now im 13 and i rebuild motors for a living and im only 13 now.... Not to brag but . . .... . . . . . .
Retaining wall aint retaining.. thatd be a problem..
So much space under the porch to have fun with.
What divorce court in backwoods podunk issues old lumber to somebody? I doubt that would count as property or of value….
My guess is that the mini garden tiller hiding in there
Looks like Al Capone's Vault.
Need some good agricultural tires and wheel weights for the ole Deere
Can confirm that Craftsman mowers are junky. My parents bought one years ago,I hated using it.
Wrong I had a craftsman ran and drove for 26 years so no it had no engine changes barely a problem with it.
@@MilesParker-wz8sv Well, it must have been made years ago before their quality went to crap then.
@ then my 2012 YT3000 platinum series was good also
The kid is good on that John Deere.
I think the red shirt looks too clean for what you are doing hahaha.
Makes a ("young") man afraid of marriage, but I guess thats why they have a pre-nups??
pre-nups don't work in most courts.
I think my ex wife did the same to me ,stole 10 of my motorbikes and just went a bit loopy Lou .
IDK put deck up I will never get this time back. But entertainment
The bottom line do you know why a divorce is so expensive ( cause it's worth it..)
john deere needs wheel wieghts
It's your nyik now
You need some knobby's on the back of that Deere
Plastick transmission ??? Wait wut
Sup leroy 😄
👍
Well it appears that you have been also left with a couple of very good kids.. old enough to be productive and useful and fun...LAXVESPA-LOSANGELES
You need to pull the drive pin on the back side , , It frees the belt drive up !
Ok 13:58 You got me , , , LOL ! oh well my friends ........ lol ,,,,,,,,,
I remember your divorce.i have a BOLENS tractor with grass cutter roto tiller snow blower and dump wagon.if your interested let me know.ill give it to you FREE
