      Creality Cloud has a 3d scanner feature & is available for Android. I tried to share a link to it in the app store with everyone, but the comment keeps being removed, so I can't share the link. It has a Photoscan feature which allows you to scan objects for 3d. Haven't tried multiple samples yet, but the object I scanned seemed to work well.

    I’ve been waiting for a video like this! As a ZBrush user, Nomad sculpt has been a game changer for 3D sculpting in the industry. You might not finish the sculpt in it, but EVERYONE starts one in Nomad. And with the scan - sculpt - print workflow, the stuff we can do now still blows my mind. Awesome vid!

    Very cool use of face scanning, Nomad, and 3D printing! It came out great, looks awesome in the green and orange. 👍👍👍👍
    One problem I had with your workflow though…
    Scanning your face then changing the entire shape by mirroring one side to the other makes this kind of…wrong. It’s not going to fit one side of your face as well as the other. 🤔 You even went ahead and made the mask asymmetrical after all so it makes even LESS sense to have made your face symmetrical in the first place… 😮😮😮😮

    This is a great video!! My question: How do you keep the slicer from changing the scale / size of your print? I heard you mention that it needs to be an .obj file, but when I send my file from Nomad to Chitubox, it turns my model into a teeny tiny model, which it then offers to scale to fit the build plate. Advice/knowledge please? Thank you!!

  • @TheSevenFaces3
    @TheSevenFaces3 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Awesome video! FYI the centre line was off because nomad imports and centres your object across its entire geometry, so if your left shoulder in the scan is slightly longer then your right it will push the centre off your nose etc.

    So I am part of the furry fandom and I’ve been making some of my own partial suits (just the paws, head, and tail) of my characters. For my main oc I tried the classic bucket head base with upholstery foam, but I didn’t like the result as much. Later on I tried again and found a cartoony skulldog mask on etsy. (basically a mask that looks like a skull with a movable jaw. It fits, its a template I can work with, It has the features I want such as large cartoony eyes, teeth, and overall a cute style. So I added some adjustments and made a full-on head of my character with it and it turned out great! Cool, exactly what I was looking for. But I was planning on potentially getting my own 3D printer and using that possibly on any projects now that I have a good idea on what style I want to make things with. But I never used a 3d-modeling app before besides paint 3d. I also never used a 3d printer or any friends 3d printer. I wanted to somehow design a mask to my own liking from scratch. This video is very helpful for the future! The app you used and mentioned also seemed amazing. It looked very simple to use and looks professional, yet is easy to learn over time. I’m excited to possibly put my idea into action! I appreciate the tutorial lots. I learned quite a bit about the app you used before I start using it. Thanks!

      Mason, What a bargain!
      Most scanners of this retail caliber start at $600. The handheld unit I use professionally for scanning vehicle interiors for modification is $20k w/ required ongoing service contract😎

      I cant remember but I believe there is a 1 time lifetime fee or something like that in the app. I can’t remember what I paid for it

    Hey there! You stated that obj. Retains the size ratios of the model. I know this video is not about blender but when I export from blender into chitubox it loses its size. Do you have any experience with exporting from blender and retaining size?
