In 1985 my boyfriend said, "I can't sing. But I want to tell you how I feel." He played this song. We got married...still are.
Keep it up michelle:)
💕
My favourite song of this great band. Wow David Clayton-Thomas's voice is incredible, still listening and loving it in 2023. Their music is timeless.
I also love this song. But my favourite BST song is I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know. Here representented with Gary Moore.th-cam.com/video/QvwbtILwNis/w-d-xo.html
This is our song. Our anniversary is today. Married 52 years today. Love their music all these years.
David Clayton Thomas without a doubt had one of the best, most recognizable voices in Rock history !!!
Has! Still alive

The melody is just beautiful
This is one guy that looks much better older than when he was younger. Like fine wine better with age. Yet, his voice is the same. Great....
yeah! got a good haircut....frog to Prince....love his golden voice
I agree. He looks a lot better older.
I totally agree. He looks a lot better older.
Guys get better looking as they age
Why are they not in the rock of fame with a voice like that and the horns the band in general 🤯🤔
Heard this song the other day as it played in a restaurant, and it brought back so many memories...I was lucky enough to see David Clayton Thomas with BS&T live in a Dallas concert...never will ever forget it. Man...that was when music was music as compared to the trash that the kids listen to today.
Man were you lucky! The original players were at the top of there game.
Nothing like a rock band with a brass section. David Clayton Thomas...one of Canada's greatest!
One of the worlds best!
Davids voice has not changed one bit. What a voice.
Sang this song to my wife at our wedding reception over 11 years ago. What a great song
Besides this iconic voice, the instrumentals are phenomenal- I forgot what great music I listened to back in the 70s and 80s- guess I took it all for granted back then :-(
To right 👍
Most were studio musicians, revolving in and out of the band at different times.

So very true!
I always like how David obviously loves performing after all these years. Always a big smile.
Wow! Wow! Wow! What a voice. I am without words. I want to go back to the 60's and relive this fabulous music. What a talent. They could show the 'artists (?)' of today a thing or two or three or four..... Beautiful. Thank you Blood Sweat & Tears. 💙
I had forgotten about this sound, but I went to it and now I can't stop. David Clayton Thomas's voice is so addictive that I cannot get enough of it.
take me with u plz.
What a great voice. And great band. Such memories. I was like ten when I started hearing them.
What a tone on that voice!
dave nightingale His tone is phenomenal!
Chords wonderfull word
how fortunate we are to have these artists in our lifetime----well done David and company. !!
Simply an outstanding song! Great vocals and horns.
it was 69 and me and my girlfriend we just fall in love, thank you Drumcam, we are still in love until today, thank you baby for some of the best things of our life! Greetings from Brazil!
Is it just me or is his voice and ability to sing just as good or better today as it was back in the 70's ? What's great about watching him sing is I get the impression he gets so much enjoyment doing it that he would do it for free . I have always admired people who get to do what they love doing .
Side note , I live in Denver and my neighbor played lead trumpet for him for 9 years . His first name is Peter .
Now this folks is music.
Really?
@@GalaxyKane Yes, really. This IS music.
@Ben Fizz oh, I didn't know there was an earlier version. Will listen now
@Ben Fizz hey, it's a great version.
But I still prefer the Blood Sweat tears version, though
Actually, his face showing happiness while singing ... so she made him so very happy!
Met David years ago at the Orange County Fair, Ca. After his show. He was so very friendly and accommodating to his fans. I could’ve talked with him for hours. This is a legend.
Classic Hit, still reverbing throughout our lives! Relevant as the day it was released. Thanks for sharing, posting @Drumcam, @ @BloodSweat&Tears 🔥 Listened 09/15/2023 #BloodSweat&Tears
my husband and I used this song at our wedding for our first dance. it was amazing
I love that
That's so sweet. :)
MELISSA MCKENZIE heard it in the car today and wish I picked this one.
I used a song from Toto. :-)
Great song choice .its says it all lol .great song
Best Horn band in ANY universe! THANK YOU, BS&T!!!!
OMG. Thank you for this song. I forgot how much I liked it when I was child.

Congrats folks on 41yrs.
This song makes me So Very Happy!!
i SAW THEM LIVE MAN
Makes me happy too 😊
Unbelievable unique voice!
DCT is the happiest singer ever. The guy smiles all the time. He loves singing so.
Memories of this band.. a era when rock. had a definition of timelessness and till today. never fades.
I'd forgotten how great this guy's voice was. Always loved this song. Thanks for posting!
nobody else is this guy. how I adore him
Thanks for posting! Can you all believe they played this on Soul Stations in Chicago in the late 60s... Chicago, The Little Rascals we are so fortunate to have the bands in our lifetimes! Real musicians and singers!❤️❤️❤️
One of the most dynamic recordings of the day. Al Kooper was a genius.
DCT is one of my fav's and the drummer rocks too.
David Cayton -Thomas. One of the greatest singers in history. Unforgettable.
A Canadian icon. God Bless you David. Hearing this song during this pandemic makes me soooo very happy. From a proud Canadian. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🌈🌈🙏🙏🦋🦋🌹🌹
awesome voice for real! Born in 64 glad to have experienced this great music at a young age
Same!
@@aldoushuxleysattention7153 same too !!
Great song back in the day he still sounds great today great music horns great stuff 👍😁😊😄
Spent childhood hiding under tables during bar brawls. Spent time in jail. Voice has the soul and pain of a hard life. Fantastic voice!
These guys were the BEST!!!! They brought a whole new type of Jazz-rock to us, them and of course.....CHicago! DCT, what a Wonderful vocalist he is.
This man has the vocal chops....one of those horn bands that I just love.....bring it DCT bring it...
This guys voice is fucking awesome
Canada's Finest male vocalist. Unfortunately had key ups and downs which fucked up his career.
vl.m. DAVID HENRY THOMSETT nar.13. septembra 1941 v Kingston Upon Thames v Surrey UK.....angličan
He was born in Britain but his father was a Canadian Soldier. The family moved back to Canada shortly after his birth.
Thanks. I was unaware of that.
HOLY SHIT, ARE YOU RIGHT
wow this guy is incredible!
one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Songs from Chicaco, Earth Wind and Fire and Blood sweat and tears are Jazz/Rock songs that you just don't hear anymore.
his voice still gives me chills.
belive it or not this is blue eyed soul back in the summer late 1960's
you got that right Tim..it even had a particular smell...wonderful time in my life..
True,
Tim Slade Agreed!!!
Canada can be proud of this band!
Voice still strong even after all these years, this is a singer who knows how to take care of their God-given ability.
Saw the so many times during my youth no regrets should have seen and heard more of them
This is one of those songs I keep going back to. Just classic.
oh oh oh...how superb...words and music....
This is such a beautiful song
I Love this Song It's what Im going through now
Im Happy that someone said to me Love Again
Wonderful news Elaine, may your joy last forever!!
Un mistakable voice. So beautiful. It never gets old.
This man has such an amazing voice! Never heard of this group til a couple of years ago! So underrated! Give this man his props! One of the most wonderful voices ever my God!!!
This is probably my favourite song from David and the guys. He has a great voice.
Thank you for posting.
The guy can surely sing :) I love it !!!!
amazing voice
Such a great song...a great performance from David and his band. Bravo!
Marvelous! Such a nuanced voice so long after the original hit!
This is one of my favorite bands ever. More so now that I've recently read some biography details about D C Thomas. Some hard knocks, his life could have gone the wrong way early.
Hoy tengo 52 años de edad y recuerdo gratamente estas canciones, son un verdadero alimento del alma desde Tuxpan, Veracruz México
Great singer. Wow.
Still great after all the years. A good song will stand the test of time.
Why can’t Music be like this anymore. I’m so glad this came into my life.
I can’t stand today’s music. There is no Sonic tonality to today’s crap. I teach this to my children.
DCT ... the sound of BS&T. Without him the band misses the target. No one has his timbre, pitch, phrasing, timing, everything a music producer aims for!
+Don E Gee Correct DTC was one of a kind as was Dennis Yost of Classics IV. Both could have been replaced but the originals are are always the best.
+Don E Gee BINGO!!!
BINGO ♡♥♡♥♡♥
Sorry chap but Al Kooper on I love you more than you'll ever know was also incredible. Kooper was the brain child of BS&T.
DTC was not the original sir. It was Al Kooper. Check your facts before posting what you have no clue about.
Wow!Absolutely the best in live performance.Where have all the brilliant voices gone of yesteryear?
I don't think there will ever be another voice like that again. Great music, all of it!
I love this song. I want to sing this one to my bride at my reception after my wedding.
I also like how the lead singer smiles while he sings. It is something that Louie Armstrong did while he sang.
I love this song. I always get emotional every time I hear it
Magnificent Voice!! Love this song for a Long time!!!! Original Version of '69! Now 253 turds that Don't know squat about what a Great voice he always have had!!
I just loved David Clayton-Thomas! Such a beautiful strong voice.
One of my earliest musical influences during my early childhood in Hollywood, Oildale, and Bakersfield, CA ♡♡♡♡ Between my musical-genius-horn-arrangement-loving-father, Gary S. Paxton and Blood Sweat & Tears, I too love 'horn bands' ♡♡♡♡♡♡
I love this guy singing. He has a fantastic voice. He looks so very happy too, smiling eyes tell he is a surviver.
Timeless and so groovy :) !!
This band is cool. I saw them in concert. After the show they shook hands with the fans and signed autographs.
This is such a simple, but sweet, beautiful, heart-felt song.
I wish I could sing like David Clayton-Thomas. Cheers from Ottawa, Canada🍁
It's like a piercing ray of sunlight when I hear this song! Awesome :)
The chops are still awesome!!! Highly underrated band...
The arrangement with the Satie piece tacked onto the end is brilliant.
Precioso tema, excelente interpretación.❤😢, gran banda Sangre, sudor y lágrimas.❤❤
David Clayton Thomas has more soul in his pinky finger than the 57 turds voting thumbs down, lets hear it for the 2,542 that know great music and singing !!
You are so right ! Rap music has no soul or talent.
Make that 232 turds as of 29 Oct 2018
Amen there... my mother used to jam this when cleaning the house... over and over and over!
Some people have no taste
Agree😊
HOLY SHIT THIS IS AMAZING!! I'm a hard Blues-rock Jimi Hendrix/Black Sabbath/Thin Lizzy guy, but I can't get enough of this!!! WHAT A VOICE!!!
David - big bear with wonderful voice !!! )))
Over time "THE" voice has gained an even raspier, burnished quality. The arrangement is complicated and sophisticated and performed by superb musicians. The performance shows a love of singing, commanding the stage before an audience.
And no one in the last 3 decades can touch the talent and genius in this video.
This album was played ritually in my childhood home, thank you baby Blood Sweat and Tears 💕😘😘
Absolute classic jazz-rock band I grew up with in the early 70s UK!
Simplest lyric sung with enormous soul is what made this song great. And a great brass and rhythm section. :-)
Great song, great singer, great musicians, great BAND ... A GREAT EXPERIENCE ALTOGETHER for those of us lucky enough to have seen and heard this particular ”edition” of BS&T live back in their heyday on multiple occasions like I was able to do. Wow:-)
I love this song
Can’t get enough of this song. Appreciate the upload 5*
Perhaps the best rock, jazz, blues fusion ever. This is just beautiful!
This song just never ever gets old!! Still lovin it today 10/26/21
I sing this song to my daughter all the time! Love it!
DYNAMITE!! This song just, for some reason, popped into my head tonight. I might have been thinking about my wife...and that I was happy! Thank you God for such a great tune!
That voice!! wow , wow!!!
one of the best R & R voices of ALL time - and bands
A great voice, a great man, a great loss, RIP, Jerry LaCroix!
