Exactly and don’t forget the Media campaign against MJ. They try so hard to destroy him with lies but he still there. Wait til his biopic comes out. This same thing will happen what happened to Queen
It would be interesting to compare this list with 100 most streamed artists (either of all time or monthly) and/or most followed ones. I feel like monthly listeners is not an accurate measurement to tell "who's the biggest/most listened to", cs all you need is to listen to one song from the artist and boom, you're one of their "monthly listeners".
I think it's impressive to see Justin in the top 2! Before even realising an album in 2019 he was still number 1!..... he is killing it rn, he is the ONLY artist that i know can book and sold out stadiums on countries like Japan (4 times), Malaysia, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil! I picked Ed Sheeran (3) , Dua Lipa (4) , The Weekend (1) , Justin Bieber (2) and Olivia Rodrigo (13). I was holding my breath a lot :D But I guess I went for the win so I shouldn´t be surprised.
It’s always interesting to see these kinds of ranking lists when they’re a very specific stat like monthly listeners. It really gives you an appreciation for how much you can manipulate information without lying because of how wildly different the lists are depending on the exact stat you’re looking at. All while looking at things most people would consider to be “popularity”. Like daily plays, monthly plays, overall plays, by month, every list varies wildly but any one of them people would typically relate to “popularity”. Also, it blows my mind how big Spotify is in the Hispanic community. So many artists that are in the top 100 that I’ve never heard a single song from, ever.
I personally think total monthly streams per artist is more accurate. Since monthly listeners is massively influenced by playlisting. Would like to see a video on that in the future!
You know what video would be interesting? Top 100 Spotify artist by listeners retention. Take top 100 followed artists on Spotify. Then from their Total followers numbers redux their monthly followers. That would show which artists has most loyal and disloyal listeners. :D Or compare How many artist songs in average 1 of their fallower listens in a month. Most streamed Artists on Spotify for example month February of 2022 and divide that stream number by their monthly listeners number that month. I wondering who would come on top there.

@@neelchaudhary6182 I am so sorry you lost your dad at such a young age. He passed away being a hero, but I know that doesn't help with your loss. My mom passed away unexpectedly Jan 2019 and she was laid to rest on my 38th birthday. It hurt losing my mom...a lot, but I struggled with everything that came afterwards. My oldest daughter, who was 15 at the time was staying the night with my parents and my mom just slumped over mid conversation with my daughter. She struggled with seeing everything happen. Then, my dad became suicidal after my mom passed. So I never got to fully mourn because I was busy looking after them. It was hard losing my mom at 38, so I can't imagine how bad it hurt to lose your dad at 13.
Or maybe even total no. of stream coz I dont think many ppl follow their fav artists or might just be me

He has Monthly listeners because his songs are in every major Spotify playlists

Yes! Sebastian Yatra is the guy that sang Dos Oruguitas in Encanto. I checked out his stuff after watching the movie and I really like it! I'm surprised I didn't know about him before since he is so popular. I think he was popular in Latin America but Encanto made him bigger in the US.

Taylor took her whole discography off of spotify for 3 years and this was during her peak era 1989 (album with songs like shake it off, style, blank space) she could be top 3 right now if she didnt

I got way more joy out of seeing coldplay in the top then I thought I would I am a huge fan of their music and even though I do have a stronger connection to there older stuff I just like too see that they still are going and doing this great. After watching way too many interviews with Chris Martin I cant help but just wish them all the succes in the world such a wholesome band
They have some massive hits from back in the day, so it doesn’t surprise me that they’re that high up. I don’t listen to them much anymore but I know people would listen to “Clocks” or “Viva La Vida” on repeat, they’re classics!
Same. I love them. I’m not suprised they are so high. They have some extremely popular songs like fix you and viva la vida. The Bts collab gave them over 20 million more monthly listeners as well. Impressive.
Their older stuff is just mmwwaah
Ikr, the recent collab with BTS helped as well. They do have many huge hits, that’s amazing they’re # 6 on this list

I'm just proud that Queen stands the test of time and makes this list considering the amount of pop acts are on here. Queen still will rock you.
Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic is honestly just a musical prodigy. He’s incredible. Written countless hits for other artists and still is in the top 100 artists easily with his band. He’s just incredible.
Yea. His songwriting is amazing and is so rarely talked about because nobody knows how many hits he's written for so many other artists. He's a true gift to the music industry.
I picked 5 artists and I was holding my breath for #1 because I hadn’t seen The Weeknd until then, but I got all 5 right!
Post Malone - 23
Billie Eilish - 18
Lil Nas X - 15
BTS - 35
The Weeknd - 1

Doja cat
Adele
Ed Sheran
Dua Lepa
Justin Bieber

Chance is a great addition to the videos, great work guys!

Taylor Swift
Billie Eilish
Post Malone

You know what video would be interesting?
Top 100 Spotify artist by listeners retention. Take top 100 followed artists on Spotify. Then from their Total followers numbers redux their monthly followers. That would show which artists has most loyal and disloyal listeners. :D
Or compare How many artist songs in average 1 of their fallower listens in a month. Most streamed Artists on Spotify for example month February of 2022 and divide that stream number by their monthly listeners number that month. I wondering who would come on top there.
