Someone you loved’s meaning is about losing someone you cared dearly about and now that they are gone you miss them. I personally think his music is impeccable and has a very strong meaning behind it.
A song being about something meaningful doesn't automatically make it well written. I wrote plenty of terrible poems about deep things when I was in middle school. (I'm not calling his lyrics middle school quality I'm just making a point). Personally, I've never liked Lewis Capaldi. His style of singing just doesn't jive at all with the understated singer-songwriter style he's going for, imo. It'd be like Ed Sheeran straining to reach high notes on Supermarket Flowers.

The boys had sat there with makeup and dressed up from 2am in Korea and they weren’t even told when they would be on, they waited with us and still went live after the show at very earlier hours of the morning being tired as fuck trying to comfort US even though it’s them who should’ve been comforted. The Grammys have been called out multiple times by big names for being corrupt, giving the awards to just anyone who might not even deserve it, giving them away to those who bribe and pay for the Grammy itself. The Grammys isnt a reflection on the music that is put out and despite dynamite being the best candidate for the song, it lost to a song that didn’t even deserve it. As you said, Taylor also lost and our fandom thought that if we didn’t get it, she would but she didn’t which is even more of a snub. So no, it’s not literally about us not being “ungrateful”. There are so many factors that people like you don’t know but you oh so easily are here to call us ungrateful and fucking toxic. The weeknd and lana del dey are probably the most orbbed artists. Lana literally creates a whole new wave of music that inspired so many people artists that WON the grammy or were close to. She should've won 2013.

I’m not surprised Taylor hasn’t won song of the year but have won multiple album of the year awards because usually some of the other songs in her album are better than the one she released as a single, especially in 1989.
