I actually like the long form content a lot better! Shorts feel uncomfortably frantic and you can't rewind them, so I think this is a good move. I also like the hard-coded subtitles! Very helpful for comprehension. I'm weirdly curious about whatever the current pop cultural zeitgeist in the US is since I don't know much about it, so any of your opinions on that sort of thing I find interesting. Funnily enough only my #2 top artist got called out here, and thank you! Haven't had a 30th birthday yet, but I also hope it won't be devastating (two years to go).

In 2023 wrapped my top artist was C418, my top song was Heatwave by Space Cassette (3min 44sec long), and my location was Seattle.

As someone who has had Queen as my 1# artist for many years you completely under estimated the numbers Bohemian Rhapsody movie did for the Queen fandom under 40 yo. We single handedly made Bohemian Rhapsody (the song) number 1# again over 40 years after its original release 😂Glees impact is not that wide but a fairly recent Oscar winning movies impact is, and im saying this as someone who was OBSESSED with Glee back in 2012-2013.
Chocolate chip cookies
Ingredients
for 12 cookies
½ cup (100 g) sugar
¾ cup (165 g) brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ¼ cups (155 g) all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
4 oz (110 g) semi-sweet chocolate chunk, or milk chocolate
4 oz (110 g) dark chocolate chunk, or your preference
whole milk, to drink, optional
Preparation
In a large bowl, whisk together the sugars, salt, and butter until a paste has formed with no lumps.
Whisk in the egg and vanilla, beating until light ribbons fall off the whisk.
Sift in the flour and baking soda, then fold the mixture with a spatula, being careful not to overmix too much. This will cause the gluten in the flour to toughen which will result in cakier cookies.
Fold in the chocolate chunks evenly, then chill the dough for at least 30 minutes. For a more intense toffee-like flavor and deeper color, chill the dough overnight. The longer the dough rests, the more complex its flavor will be.
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
Scoop the dough with an ice-cream scoop onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet, leaving at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space between cookies and 2 inches (5 cm) of space from the edges of the pan so that the cookies can spread evenly.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges have started to barely brown.
Cool completely, and serve yourself a glass of milk.

Glad you're enjoying Metallica - welcome to the family! There's in-fighting in every fandom of course, but mostly it's between if their modern work sucks or not, if St Anger is trash or slightly above trash - things boiling down to personal opinion basically. It's the standard for any other fandom: in-fighting, if any, is down to personal preferences. But that's the way I see it. Oh well.
Anyway, if you enjoy Metallica, try the rest of the Thrash Metal Big Four: Slayer, Anthrax, and Megadeth. Expand into Testament, Exodus and the German Big Four if you really like it! Metallica is most people's gateway drug into the world of heavy metal, and from then on, it's up to you which way you'd like to go! Happy listening :)

If you like Ghost I would heavily suggest to check out Powerwolf. They don’t sound exactly like Ghost (in a carbon copy way, but they’re both heavy metal bands), but they feel a lot like Ghost. They have both this "unholy ritual/church" vibe.

As a mother mother fan I was like “naah, I was the quiet shy hardworking kid!” then remembered how I had to “correct” every single word that came out of any teachers mouth that I disagree/have another way to make things make sense in my head (I was a undiagnosed ADHD and autism kid) and how several very patient teachers getting mentally ready for a fight (followed by a long audible sigh) with a neurodivergent kid that will make things way more complicated for themselves and won’t be convinced until you give up lol. (I apologize from all my classmates that I made things harder to understand by showing them the way it works for me)

Oh dear god the Phoebe Bridgers thing. In 2019 I performed standup comedy at a talent show, and before me were like six girls each singing the exact same genre of "soft voice sad girl". It was like walking into a karaoke bar on February 15th.
