I won't say if popular music was better or worse in the 2000s, I'm personally a bigger fan of that time. But I will say music did seem a lot more varied. As in the things that got popular were a lot more different kinds of music than you'd find being successful today. Did you do a 2010-2020?
@Hunter64 Lincoln Burrows gets executed for a crime he didnt commit, so his brother Michael Scofield gets him out of prison along with 6 others (Cnote, Sucre, Abruzzi, Haywire, Tweener and Tbag) then they go after DB Coopers 5 million dollars in Tooele, after that Lincoln Michael and Sara go after the Company, then Bellick Tbag and Sucre go to Mexico, Michael Lincoln and Mahone go to Panama, Bellick Michael Tbag and Mahone get locked up in Sona, Michael gets out with Mahone Whistler and McGrady, then Michael Lincoln Bellick Sara Sucre Self and Roland go after Scylla, they get scylla, Michaels mother turns out to be alive Bellick dies, and then finally The Company is defeated, Michael dies getting Sara out of prison, 7 years later Michael turns out to be alive under the name Kaniel Outis, he gets out Ogygia with Whip and Ja in Yemen, Lincoln goes to Yemen, they go back to the US, they meet Sucre and Sara under the way, they meet Cnote in the US, they beat Abruzzi's son, and finally they beat Sara's boyfriend Jacob, aka Poseidon
It's interesting how marketing strategies back in the 2000's affected our access to music. The songs Joel doesn't know are exactly the ones I don't know. We're practically the same age and I'm South American. Except for the Ashanti song, cause they played the rap part, wtf, all the other ones never played here. Janet Jackson, for example, never existed here in Brazil. Never played on radio stations, it was never easy to find CDs... I'm thankful for streaming apps of today.
Hearing all these songs makes me feel really weird and cold, they feel surreal. They were such a big part of me growing up. But having grown up now. It feels foreign, it feels scary. I know them all by heart and i love them but i cant imagine my past self listening to them so much to create this emotional memory

my guy
Thats all i remember him from
Yeah I was like that’s snart lol
This gave me a nice reminder of songs I’ve forgotten over the years. Thanks ☺️
Eminem was one of the most selling artist of that time 🤩🤘 A true Legend ❤️
And now
I listen to him all the time even his old music you should listen to Godzilla.
He is the the highest selling rapper of all time
*Eminem is
Some songs were placed in the wrong year, but oh well...
Amazing songs. Especially LP, I'll always love Chester 😌❤
Yes like nothin on you it is 2010 not 2006
The fact he doesn’t know much about rock is crazy, and saying Green Day is the good rock of the 2000s 😭

It’s messi... I love Messi. Lowkey Joel knowing football stuff made me rlly happy 😂
I love that you get as excited about Mr. Brightside as I do.
me toooo! i love that song
Hmmm, I believe you guys have a video where you talk about this song as well? 🤔😂
@@Alexutza6666 It's timeless!
@@baettlejuice HA! Yes, yes we do.
I was a radio/private DJ from this era and the nostalgia here is real. We had SO much fun with these songs. Remixing them, especially, was fire!🔥
I remember Dilemma, aka the 'texting with Excel' video.
and she was angry bc Nelly didn't answer hahaha
It's interesting how marketing strategies back in the 2000's affected our access to music. The songs Joel doesn't know are exactly the ones I don't know. We're practically the same age and I'm South American. Except for the Ashanti song, cause they played the rap part, wtf, all the other ones never played here. Janet Jackson, for example, never existed here in Brazil. Never played on radio stations, it was never easy to find CDs... I'm thankful for streaming apps of today.
Till i collapse is still quite famous and i love it.
I was a little kid in the mid 2000s but will always appreciate the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s the most in terms of music lol
Joel: It's the prison break guy!
Me: CAPTAIN COLD?!
Hearing all these songs makes me feel really weird and cold, they feel surreal. They were such a big part of me growing up. But having grown up now. It feels foreign, it feels scary. I know them all by heart and i love them but i cant imagine my past self listening to them so much to create this emotional memory
Maybe im just still in love with Ke$ha and Miley Cyrus lol
You’ve got to love that Eminem was upfront about his sample. Although, Thank You had just come out about a year earlier.
I miss the variety in popular music from the 2000s. There was a song for everybody, every mood and every occasion. I dont think we will ever have such a great era in pop music ever again.
Joel: if you say that Taylor Swift’ music can’t make you feel romantic feelings, you’re a big old liar
aromantics: *am i a joke to you*
Can relate lol 😂
No, you're a big old liar
4:36 Real Steel was such an underrated film
No one can tell me different
Tru
And here I thought the 2010-2020 song made me feel old - realizing these are all my childhood songs and they’re now 20 years old just hits a certain way…
I had "I got a feelin'" stuck in my head all morning, but only the "woo hoo" part and couldn't remember the name of the song.
Jeez, Eminem, Linkin Park, and ColdPlay ruled the 2000's, mainly early 2000's
17:31 joke's on you, I'm always crying on the inside!
I am just here to support the 'Here without you' song by 3 Doors Down.....One of the best Rock songs ever...Emotion and lyrics and how they were conveyed...SOOO ON POINT👌👌❤❤
I hope rock does come back more. Being someone who loves rock more then anything lol
Greenday and linkin park are still ny fav bands to this day, didnt know they were THAT old (rip chester)
Linkin Park was formed in 1996
@@wellido4134 Jesus chist, thought it was like 200-2007 when they formed
@@laughyloff last week they reached their 25th anniversary :)
Greenday were formed in 1987 linkin park 1996 😍
Ayyyy! This is the first video that I've seen from roomie that hasn't got 1000 copyright claims!
These songs... remind me of my teenage years. These compilations of older songs always give me nostalgia.
Joel: Oh it’s Messi!
Football fans everywhere: *chanting* one of us, one of us
Yup relatable😂😂
I liked the "rockier" early 2000 stuff WAY more than all the late 2000 songs. love linkin park!!!
Now we need a part 2, the 2010s (2010-2020)
*Till I Collapse plays*
"I don't remember that one"
*I proceed to flail my arms in disbelief and frustration*
As a proud Australian that is the best non Aussie accent I have ever heard it does not sound British at all 9:11
