Hi Sprayway, I found your channel about 2 weeks ago and immediately subscribed after watching several of your videos. I so appreciate the way that you take the time to explain the processes that you are you using, and why. I am the proud owner of a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. I am a retired Police Officer, and when I joined the Philadelphia Police department over 34 years ago, these at one point were the fleet vehicles. I fell in love with their durability, and yes their speed. I always hoped to own one. I got the opportunity to purchase mine from one of my coworkers. When I got it, it was starting to develop rust, and had a few small dings in the body. I had no clue as to how to tackle these issues. A friend of mine who owned a body shop, was to do the bodywork, and paint it for me, but passed away suddenly. Since watching your videos, I am confident that I can make the necessary repairs that will restore my car to the beauty that it once was. Lol, I will be painting it a beautiful iridescent purple. Thank you for sharing your expertise!
    Debbie in Philly!

I’ve got an ‘11 CVPI, had to patch the floorboard under the drivers front feet and drivers back foot area. Water leaked under the carpet and rotted it out. Otherwise it’s relatively rust free coming from Boston. You can do anything Debbie, painting is 90% in the preparation

Too bad the owner didn’t have the money to pay you to fix this one the right way and have you weld in patch panels. It’s a nice car. Not sure how long your repairs will last, but maybe a decade in AL which has a drier climate than where I live in IL. I’m retired and do restoration work on my own vehicles. Another banging video. You definitely know ur shitz my dude!!!
I saw a video earlier today with this dude that was spraying a car. Now you definitely don’t need help with that BUT I had saw that his spray gun was on some real shit. I don’t know what kind it was but it definitely looked like it was covering well. Dudes page was called “dip your car”. Pull it up and fast forward to when he starts spraying the car so u can see his gun. Respect brah✊🏾

Good video. After initial sanding , save time and really protect metal with a spray of phosforic acid rust consversion products. Phosphoric acid converts iron oxide (rust) into an inert layer of iron phosphate, which is black in colour. This inert layer then acts as a barrier layer or protective coating. A rust converter eliminates the need to sandblast rust therefore less time and energy is involved in the process.

Your rust conversion product is perfect... good recommendation.

Sprayway, what are your thoughts on the longevity on these types of repairs? Many of the pro painters hate on fiberglass and rust converters, and insist that only replacing the metal will hold up over time. Not hating, just curious about your experience on how long these types of repairs hold. Because they surely are a lot more approachable for us newbies that have no experience welding etc.

I’ve done repairs like this before years ago and they’re still holding up
