I have the Radius 4V, linear sound, and FX. Gorgeous sound and impeccable build quality. Masters Sounds brought back my love, and the joy of mixing. I was an 80’s snd 90’s DJ, and played 9 to11 hour set’s at the Saint in NY. I was lucky to snag one of their beautiful hard case’s, which arrived yesterday..
I’m pretty new to Mastersounds gear. I got the Radius 2 mk2 only a couple of months ago. My first analogue mixer, and man I fell completely in love. Sad to hear the news, but it’s also pretty epic that they did what they did in the short amount of time they were around. Check the latest vid on my channel for a UK Garage mix using the Radius 2 mk2
Well, that settles it. The rumor mill was batshit crazy whit the reasons of the news. Im keeping my Valve4Mk2 as a collector's piece. Sounds phenomenal!
Sad to hear this news but totally respect the MS decision. I've been toying with the idea of buying a Radius 4 for a few years and was totally sold on the developments on the Mk2. Very pleased to say I have one of the final batch arriving today. Would love to pair it with some MS SLs some day.
Fantastic review, and yes onwards and upwards. What a solid journey. Thanks for the awesome reviews, which guided me to purchase a radius 2. And very happy with it.
Sad news - I'd never want to see a small UK based company stop doing something they are passionate about. I have had a Radius 2 mk2, and appreciate I might be in the minority, but I couldn't get on with the HPF as it just didn't do anything until the 12 o'clock position, so I sent the mixer back. Personal preference only, the unit was well built and the guys as MS were really good to deal with.
I'm kinda with you on this one. I have the Radius 2mk1 and go past 12 o'clock on the HPF all the time. It would be annoying if there was any resonance as in the mk2 versions. Watching all these reviews I much prefer the clean HPF of the mk1 mixers.
@@tuukkak3390 on the MK2 you have to move the HPF to 12 to hear any change in the audio. I think people commenting about the "buttery smooth" HPF haven't used the MK2 version as it's very different.
@@craigmul Oh. Then it's very different. Mk1 starts to affect the sound almost immediately, but you still need to go past 12 to take out mid frequencies.
I live in Canada and this mixer has been rebranded as an orbit 2 LE and is shipping now to Montreal, moog audio who is the official one and only Canadian Union Audio dealer. Can’t wait to get one!
Hoping Union Audio takes on the form factor of the Radius 2. Always wanted to grab one as a travel mixer, but has been a low priority. Regretting that now.
i bought one of the valve mk2 based on your review and i agree, amazing mixer. Glad i scooped one up. Might be an investment at this point. What do you think? prices for used will go up? nice shirt btw, i picked up a midi fighter about a year ago.
There are plenty of rotary alternatives out there nowadays, no need to be too sad. Plus the first one didn't have a cue/mix blend so it was a non starter for myself.
I have one, and I absolutely love it. Nevertheless I can’t get over the +7 marking on the HPF. Doesn’t make sense. Seems like the graphics designer hastily copy pasted the markings of the isolator (where it does make sense).

Sad news, an end of an era... I have the limited edition Blue 4V MK2 with matching EFX box...Always enjoy playing on it.
What about Orbit.2 LE? Isn't it the almost same gear?
Thanks for the review, Master sounds products are of great quality, really happy with everything I have from them. The Radius 2V sound awesome

Mojaxx we need a review of the new rotary mixer omnitronic TRM -222 please!
I am waiting for it to proceed to buy one.
Yes 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I have Condesa and its HPF starts also past 12oc. Was thinking that I need Hi End Speakers to hear something b4 12oc, but Im not sure

They have done, UA Orbit 2LE
@@Unknown_Artist2.7182 I know. I wrote this comment 4 months ago.
Now I guess I’m holding out for the (probably) never to be released Orbit 2
not the same company fella, Union Audio for the Orbit.
@@leebenson2642 that’s what I meant, now that MS isn’t making the Radius it’s down to Union Audio to produce the Orbit 2
Anyone with issues with the VU meters?

Are they available on eBay website what search engine in the UK
Is the difference in sound noticeable between this and say any pioneer range??
It's nice just to see units also
are you planning to make a video about the OMNITRONIC TRM-222 ???
it's funny to say about the aux that it can be post-fader or pre-fader when it's a rotary mixer. Not a criticism, only a little funny tough.

Wow is that an intimidation mixer? Wanted one back then but heard the pots weren't bolted on to the face plate.
Plus it sums the stereo inputs to mono, so it isn't a stereo output on the master out. Just a single xlr.
@@reddenstudio lol, what? that's completely ridiculous and untrue. own the mixer and you are wrong.
Since the video has been made, it appears this range of mixers contiues from Union Audio
What a cool mixer.
Gonna kick myself. Regret not buying an effects unit with my Radius 4 mixer!
👏👏👏👏👏
Bad decision if you ask me....
First
Ok the reason nobody has the money and nobody wants them
you don't have one obviously always the person that knows nothing has the biggest mouth
Oh well, sad I can’t afford them. But I was already saving up for an Alpha Theta Euphonia, just a much more suitable mixer for me.
