I don't know about other countries, but here in Australia the ordinary pie is now SO expensive to buy 😮. They used to be one of the cheapest readymade meals one could buy. So I'm looking forward to making this recipe as I love a good pie. I always sprinkle some Worcestershire sauce on a beef pie just before tucking in 😉.

Thanks so much for pricing your lovely recipes. Many remind me of my nanna cooking very similar ones. The mince beef pie looks delicious and I’ll be making it this Sunday. Can’t wait to see what you make next.
Just to let you know, I made these pies, they were really good. I used 400grm of minced steak though and made a little extra pastry.I went and bought enamel oblong shaped tins as I hadn't any smaller tins. It made three medium sized pies for an excellent price. 👍🏻 I haven't used lard for years and years so used three quarters butter and a quarter lard ( just to ease myself back in 😂) I have to say using lard made the pastry deliciously crisp. Thanks again!
Hi, just wanted to thank you for making these videos. Im not a fan of baking as it always seemed too difficult and time consuming but I tried some of your recipies and they came out great. Thanks to you Im getting into baking and actually getting decent results. :)
Thank you. This is such a good recipe video that shows the process in a no-frills , accessible way . I’ve made such pies for years … also sometimes meat and potato…sometimes chicken and mushroom. One idea is to cook the mince in more gravy ….then strain it to retain the gravy for serving separately. I’ve never tried the added celery , so that’s a new thing for me.
This absolutely *does* look delicious. I would love to get that size of pie tin to try to make my own. I’m not a huge fan of celery, so I might try a different mild-tasting veg like zucchini (courgette) instead. But you’re right, if you’re making a mince and onion pie, that’s all you need inside. You can always make some type of veg or salad to eat on the side. Your teaching style is very easy to follow, thanks for your videos. (New Subscriber ❤’HRH’ Diana K. 🇨🇦😉)

Wow, looks delicious! And so simple! I'm definitely trying these out. Thank you for the recipe, I look forward to more!
Thanks, many more recipes to come, hope you enjoy the pies.
I hope your pies turn out great, a lot cheaper than shop bought. Thanks for watching.

Thanks so much for pricing your lovely recipes. Many remind me of my nanna cooking very similar ones. The mince beef pie looks delicious and I’ll be making it this Sunday. Can’t wait to see what you make next.

Love it! So useful, great for families. Lovely basic and cheap food. Thankyou.
Thanks, hope you give the pies a go.
Just to let you know, I made these pies, they were really good. I used 400grm of minced steak though and made a little extra pastry.I went and bought enamel oblong shaped tins as I hadn't any smaller tins. It made three medium sized pies for an excellent price. 👍🏻
I haven't used lard for years and years so used three quarters butter and a quarter lard ( just to ease myself back in 😂) I have to say using lard made the pastry deliciously crisp. Thanks again!
That's great to hear, hope the pies were delicious. And yes the lard really makes a difference to the pastry. Thanks for watching
I made the fruit loaf , it was so nice will make again,👍😎 Iam thinking it will make Great gifts for my friends ❤

Excellent how You didn't complicate the flavour of the mince. Really looks delicious. Mick London
Yes I like to keep it very simple...the celery really adds to the mince flavour....hope you give them a try.
Enjoy watching your videos , easy and simple to follow
Thanks a lot.
Hello from Georgia. I love your videos.
Welcome from the UK and thanks a lot.
Hi, just wanted to thank you for making these videos. Im not a fan of baking as it always seemed too difficult and time consuming but I tried some of your recipies and they came out great. Thanks to you Im getting into baking and actually getting decent results. :)
That is fantastic to hear and it's what the videos are all about. Happy baking and Thanks for watching.
Thanks a lot, I think the celecy works really well with the mince. Let me know what you think if you give it a go. Thanks for watching
Looks absolutely delicious. Thanks for this recipe
My pleasure....they were real good. Thanks.
Tasty thanks chef
My pleasure....hope you try and enjoy them.
Very good basic ,tasty Pie for these hard times. Some mash & gravy... perfect!!
Yes a good old nutritious meal at a real low cost, that's what it's all about.
My late mother used to use an identical plate to cut out pie circles. I think it was a Pyrex made at Wear Glassworks in Sunderland
Yes the plate has been in the family for many years....ad it could be from Sunderland as that id just up the coast from me. Thanks.
Thanks a lot, I used 5" pie dishes for these. Hope you give them a go. Thanks for watching.
