What I love about these videos as well as the simple straight forward good recipes, is that you are also making them in a normal person's kitchen. Not some big fancy kitchen that is the size of most people's houses with 1000's of £ worth of kitchen gadgets. They are achieveable for everybody to follow.
But the fact he worked out how much the food cost, he did the research people who do cooking shows assume you have a kitchen stocked with everything from browne rice and five type of pasta to six kinds of flour. I had to try four shops to find corn starch flour and bread flour most shops only stock plain and self raising.
@@raphaelandrews3617 Yes. I remember watching the Jamie Oliver lockdown cooking programme, and he was talking about what he found from his 'corner shop' during the food shortages, and how we can all cook the meal no problem. It was peppers, fresh ginger, fresh coriander, another veg I have never seen. His London corner shop may be 'Taj' but for most of us we just have the Spar and are lucky if they even have a fresh potato. Most cooking shows and channels are just so out of touch with the normal person.

Thankyou looks lovely
Thanks, it was delicious.
I noticed you use cinnemon can you use ginger powder or maple syrup? Will it effect the apple pie flavour or can I try it and see.
I prefer the cinnamon with apple but you could certainly try some ginger, that would give it an extra kick. Thanks
Oh yummo , I love apple pie and yours looks great. I can just about smell it through my IPad. I haven’t made one for a long time but I think I will make one on the weekend. I used to have a recipe that I used years ago and it was fantastic, the pastry had custard powder in it. I might have another search and see if I can find the recipe on line. I’m not sure if I can wait till the weekend to make one. Thanks for the video. Can’t wait to see more of your videos.
Thanks a lot, hope your pie is as delicious as mine was, loads more recipes to come.
Love watching this ty..

Wow looks great!
Thanks, It was delicious, Hope you have a go at the recipe.
Can I use just butter for the pastry?
Yes all butter would work well....also veg shortening instead of lard would work to. Thanks.
